The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

The light stopped working after a number of times in the water. I think water got into it.......
Nice and bright light. Didn’t really like that the wiring was not through the bolt. Otherwise this is a good replacement light.

etrailer.com is quite possibly the most dependable site on the internet. I was trying to match a broken side marker light on my trailer and a general internet search was largely unusable. I went to etrailer as I had in the past and the site stepped me through options and categories and gave me the precise match I wanted - quickly. The product is basic, finding it was the challenge. I'm more than satisfied with it.
All items are as they are advertised. Arrived within the timeframe stated. They have stuff others do not carry. etrailer is good to deal with, and they make things good which fall through the cracks, as things sometimes do. Wrong part or whatever.

Still going strong, no checking bulbs or connectors this season, all my LEDs are working great, hook up and go!
I replaced lights on my boat trailerwith these lights,the others were bad.these led's installed without a hitch and are much brighter than the old one's.haven't had boat in the water yet but so far so good.

Replaced the boat trailer lights and bunk boards, fenders and added a set of guide post and rachet straps, now my boat trailer lights up like achristmas tree and has never been easer to launch and load, thanks etrailer, great products fast shipping and great customer service, accidently ordered the wrong size fenders and the folks at etrailer got me the right ones, fast, easy and couldn't have had a better experience, thanks again

Excellent replacement for a damaged light on my trailer. Now LED lights are an upgrade from original. Probably not feasible given a variety of applications, but a plug in tip would avoid the need for splicing the wire. Overall, a good product and easy replacement installation.
The side marker lights were exactly as described. The look. fit, and install couldn't have been better.

The trailer lights are still functioning very well.
Ordered a spare red marker light to have on hand. Just replaced an amber side light, and planned ahead...... May as well have one of each on hand for...... just in case when the time comes!
These lights are simple to install, and the wire lead is nice and long to make connecting to your trailer harness a breeze.
I will certainly do business with etrailer again in the future!
These Stud Mount LED Clearance lights are what I need for my boat trailer and etrailer.com had them in stock. Mind you they are priced in the "Average " range, but what good is cheaper if they do not have them in stock? I ordered them and they showed up. This I can work with. The service is good............I would give an "Excellent but these lights have a tendency to fail after about two to three seasons no matter how fastidious your installation.
Great item, highly recommend it. Optronics peoducts last a long time. Just replaced my first one since 2012.
This single mount side marker was unavailable at all my local parts houses, truck stops, and big chain stores. I needed red, single bolt, surface mount LEDs for my boat trailer to be in compliance with state laws and was frustrated not to find them locally.
I should have started at etrailer to begin my search. The products, the price, and the fast service were all exceptional and the fact that I found them in a long lasting, super bright LED, sealed side marker made my deal super satisfactory!
Nice product. long wiring pigtail of what looks like 18G wire. 3 LED's that are nice and bright and much better than the Wesbar incandescent light it replaced. Enclosure seems to be well sealed but I would have liked it better if the rear face had the wiring enclosed in epoxy. Metric 10mm mounting stud.
The product we received fits perfectly on our boat trailer. I ordered the item and it didn't know if it would come in time before Christmas so etrailer customer service shipped it out the same day and we received it the day before Christmas. Awesome customer service! I will be ordering all my trailer lights thru them.
You guys are great! I have a pop up tent trailer made in Canada and I was able to find the exact replacement. It was VERY easy to navigate your web site and I was actually able to zoom in and see the numbers thru the plastic lens and it was a perfect match and at a fair price. I bought 4 extra to have on hand. You are my go-to for trailer parts now...thanks
This light needs a ground wire. One hot wire is find if your gooing to install this light on a metal trailer, but I hade to install mine on a fiberglass finder. I had to add a ground wire with a ring terminal and run it to the trailer's metal frame!!!
These LEDs are great. I replaced my original OEM incandescent lights on my 1994 galvanized boat trailer with these lights.
