The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens of each light are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated or P3-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Once I had this installed, these lights have worked perfectly. Switching to LEDs and having them properly installed has significantly reduce my trailer light headaches. Definitely recommend this product.

This was a great product to replace the old light that usually had at least one of the 3 bulbs not working because of a bad connection in the socket due to corrosion. The mounting holes even lined up so I did not have to drill new holes and the pig tale wire was plenty long enough to make installation a snap.
Good Product and has held up for a year now.
The only issue I had was the size of the box as compared to the size of the product was ridiculous. The box was 10 times wider than the product but needed to be about a half inch longer. Whoever packed it had to force it into the box. It was not damaged and worked just fine. On the positive side your videos and description help me make the right decision on the replacement part.

Working well. Drove to Canada and back. No issues.
Fit perfectly on my boat trailer in place of the original incadecent lights. They are nice and bright.only difference is this light grounds through the frame instead of a separate wire. Best part-time more bulb issues!

All items are as they are advertised. Arrived within the timeframe stated. They have stuff others do not carry. etrailer is good to deal with, and they make things good which fall through the cracks, as things sometimes do. Wrong part or whatever.
This light is easy to install with only 1 wire and 2 bolts, and it looks great!
Easy to install. As expected. Bright. Mounting holes lined up.

My LED lights continue to work perfectly. Cant say that for everything on the trailer. But the lights are GREAT!

I received my LED lights for my trailer today from etrailer .com. Shipping was very fast. They bolted right up to the old holed that are on the trailer. Installation was very easy. I like the features of LED lighting. They take less electricity and are much brighter than conventional lighting. I know they will be much safer and look better than the old lights I had on it.
It has been less than one year and two out of the three lights on this light bar have gone out. I'm pretty disappointed in the fact I replaced my whole trailer with submersible LED lights so this would not keep happening and here we are again.
Great light, this completes the rewiring and replacement if the old incandescent lights.

The light I purchased are working out great. Last summer while driving through Utah a State Trooper pulled along side of me when I pulled into a rest stop.He asked where I purchased the LED light set and I told him. He knew my trailer was a 2000 and he had a 2001, and was tires or replacing the old incandescent lights.Next I would like to update the lights on my 2006 GMC 34 T truck.
The lights arrived and the installation was very easy, most of the lights i ordered we're plug and play. The LED lights make a big difference on seeing the trailer at night
I've installed and hooked up power to these lights and they appear to be of very good quality. They're made in Taiwan which, in my opinion, is way better than china made stuff. These lights look very nice and are bright. I'll have to dunk the jetski trailer in water to see if the lights survive but I'm very optimistic!
Great price for a required light on my trailer! Haven't hooked it up yet but I am certain it will be fine.

Repeated dunkings in salt water haven't had any effect on this light. It works as well now as it did the day I installed it. I did have to drill a couple of new holes to align with the fastener pattern which stretched the installation time to 20 minutes, but otherwise it was very easy to install.
Item fit exactly as described in 8.5" mounting. I have to say, switching to LED is the only way to go. Bright, sealed and worry free as long as you do your electrical connections properly. This was my second order from etrailer. It was on time, and exactly what I ordered. I highly recommend them!!!!
I bought this to replace incandescent lights on my boat trailer. One of the old lights had burned out. Works well so far.
Had to replace my old lamp tail bar so I chose this LED style unit. It is a lot brighter then the old one and with the low profile it should not get damaged as fast as the old lamp one did. And with the screwed on lamps they won't be falling out like the lamps did before either.
The LED lights for my boat trailer worked perfectly. The installation was easy. Everything fit without having to make any changes. Cailee was very helpful in the ordering process. Well done etrailer!

Optronics lights are the best I have used.
