Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Opti-Brite 12 Volt surface mount LED interior utility light for trailers. You can see this as a nice low profile interior light. It'll provide nice bright white light for trucks and trailers. Does use the durable surface mount technology construction of the LED circuit board helps better withstand shock and vibration and allows for improved heat distribution.

Now it does use LEDs, which make great replacements for incandescent lights. The LEDs'll last 50 times longer, they're more efficient because they'll provide brighter light with less power output, and there's no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break and they do offer a lifetime warranty on the LEDs. You can see the lens on this is like polycarbonate clear lens uses white LEDs. Now at the end of this video I am gonna hook this up to some power just to show how bright it is. It is IP65 rated for dust and water resistance.

And this is compatible with 12 Volt and 24 Volt DC systems. We mentioned it as a surface mount. Now the hardware installed is not included that you would have to supply. It does include the nice trim ring around it. That adds a nice finished look.

And I'll just show you how that pops off and how you access the holes to mount it. There's three connectors at the bottom. There's three at the top and they're just pushing connectors. So you just be careful that you don't break 'em. They'll snap off you can see, and then there's your surface mount.

And you'll see two holes over here, two over here two elongated holes on top and bottom. So once you install this, once it's all installed and you just line your trim ring up to those slots, push it back so they clip in three at the bottom three at the top and you're all ready to go. Nice finish look does have a two wire pigtail on the back which includes a black power wire and a white ground wire. Total length on the wire is about 18 inches. This is for a quantity of one light. Now the light output, the effective lumen output is 1200 lumens. The raw lumen output is 1500 lumens. We mentioned there's 10 LEDs. The light type it gives off as a daylight white color. Color temperature is 5,700 Kelvin. Power draw at 12 Volts is one Amp. At 24 Volts is 0.6 Amps. Last thing we'll do is just give you the dimensions on it and then we'll hook it up. So the length on this light from one end to the other is 18 and a quarter inches long heighth on it, five and three quarter inches tall. And the thickness because it's a low profile it's only about a half inch thick. So what we'll do is we'll get our 12 Volt power here and again we'll hook up our white ground wire and then our black power wire. And with both of those hooked up go ahead and turn on our power and with it on you see how bright it is. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and you can see very bright again daylight white color 10 LEDs so one of these will light up a very large area of your trailer or truck. Go ahead and turn back on overhead lights and will go ahead and turn off our power.
