The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
The long-lasting, cool-burning LEDs make this light the perfect replacement for incandescent vehicle and trailer lighting. LED lights are more efficient, use less power, and last much longer than incandescent lights.
The surface-mount technology used to construct these lights protects the LEDs from shock and vibration better than through-hole technology because the diodes are soldered directly to the surface of a printed circuit board instead of attached with wires that run through holes in the board. The result is a circuit board that is smaller yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability, and durability.

Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this tri-bar RV driver's side LED stop, turn, and taillight assembly. Now this is a nice low profile triple LED tail light, which will serve three functions. It'll give you the red tail light, the red brake light, and the amber turn signal light. At the end of this video I'm going to hook it up to some power just to show you what we're talking about. This is a nice sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens makes the unit submersible. It's a clear polycarbonate lens, over 33 colored LEDs. It'll give you two rows, each row is 11 LEDs, so these two rows here will give you the 22 red LEDs, and this last row will give you 11 amber LEDs.
Now these LEDs do make great replacements for incandescent lights, they'll last about 50 times longer, they're more efficient because they'll give you a brighter light with less power output, and of course no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break, and they do give you a lifetime warranty on the LEDs.Now this light does use the durable surface mount technology construction of the LED circuit board, and what that does, it'll better withstand shock and vibration, and allows for improved heat distribution and thinner construction. It's a nice weather resistant black plastic housing, and you can see it has a nice flush mount design. It's designed to mount into the body of your RV or trailer, and provides a nice, smooth, sleek look. Now the hardware to install it is not included. You can see on the back they have the hard wire connection points on the back of the light, does require splicing into your existing wiring, and this light is DOD Department of Transportation compliant.
It does meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and the Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard requirements for automotive lighting.A few specs on this again, the configuration, this is for the driver's side, left-hand side of the vehicle. Overall dimensions, the width from this side to this side, it's going to be about 9 1/4" wide. The height from the top here to the very bottom is 23 1/4" tall, and the depth of the light is only about 1 3/4" inches. Power draw at 1220 volts for the tail light is 0.08 amps, and the stop and turn light is 1.15 amps.So again, what we're going to do is we're going to make some connections here, take our white wire, connect it to our ground, and we'll take our brown, which is the tail lights, we'll connect that one, and then we'll take our red, which is your brake, and we'll go ahead and connect that one, and then yellow will be our turn signal, so we're going to do here, and hold this up, try to show you the height we're talking about, and turn on our power, and we should get on our tail lights.I'll go ahead and turn off lights, and there you can see as our tail lights. Again, you got the two rows of 11 LEDs and they're red in color, and then when you hit your brakes you can see they light up brighter, the two rows.
And then when you do your turn signal, your turn signal basically. can see there'll be your amber turn signal, lights up bright as you'd make your turn. Go ahead and turn off our power, I will go ahead and turn back on overhead lights. But that should do it for the review on this tri-bar RV driver's side LED stop, turn, and taillight assembly.
