Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Optronics Low Profile LED RV Tail Light for the driver side. The driver side combination light provides brake, turn and tail light signals for your trailer. It also provides a license plate light and bracket, so the light comes through that clear portion right there and illuminates the license plate for easy visibility. The unit features long lasting LEDs. They make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last longer, burn brighter and they're much more efficient.

You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or worry about brittle filaments with LED systems.This is a low profile, arched, oblong design. Gives it a really nice look. It's a surface mount installation. Has a total of four mount holes, mounting hardware not included. All you need to do is just pop the lens off to gain access to those mount holes.

The lens does have the built-in reflex reflector, which eliminates the need for a separate reflector, and it's an acrylic lens with the plastic housing. It's a nice durable design. It's SAE and Department of Transportation compliant. The unit features three wires, so your white wire is ground. Black wire is your main power wire, so that's for the tail lights and for the license plate lights, and then the red wire is the stop and turn signal.When it comes to the overall dimensions of the unit, measuring edge to edge this direction we're looking at about 7 1/2 inches.

Overall height including the license plate bracket is 5 inches, and then just measuring the housing of the actual light is about 3 11/16 to 3 3/4 inches tall. When it comes to the overall thickness or depth, that's about 1 5/16 of an inch thick. The overall width here at the license plate bracket, edge to edge is about 8 1/16 of an inch. The mount holes on this unit, side to side, are separated on center by 4 5/16 of an inch, up and down 2 3/4 inches. The license plate mount holes are separated on center by 7 inches.This unit contains a total of 8 diodes or 8 LEDs, 6 for the main portion and then 2 additional for the license plate light.

The LEDs are also covered with a lifetime warranty. We're going to go ahead and hook it up to our external power source, that way you can see what it looks like with some power running to it, and then we'll also be able to turn off our overhead lights so you can see it in a low light setting. Again, the white wire is the ground wire, the black wire is our power wire for the tail lights and license plate lights, and then the red wire is for our stop and turn signals.Now, with the overhead lights turned on, we'll run through the functions real quick. This is the tail lights, brake and turn. We'll do that with our overhead lights off. At this point you can see down below how the 2 white LEDs would come down and illuminate the actual license plate because it illuminates that bracket area.
