Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

  • Installation of Trailer Lights with Red, Black, and White Wires to Traditional Trailer Wire Colors
Red, black, and white wires are common on many tail light assemblies. When this is the case, you will have red as stop and turn, black as running light, and white as ground. So you will connect yellow to red on one side of the trailer and green to red on the other side. Then on each side you will connect white to your frame or mounting hardware, and brown to black for your running lights. I've attached a video of similar lights # STL69RB to assist. If you need additional wire, use #...

  • Differences Between the Optronics LED Stop/Turn/Tail Light Part STL69RRXB and Part STL69RB
The difference between the Optronics LED stop/turn/tail light # STL69RRXB and the Optronics LED stop/turn/tail light # STL69RB is # STL69RRXB will have an integrated red reflector to fulfill the rear reflex requirement. If you choose to go with # STL69RB, then you will need to add 2 red reflectors to the back of your trailer to meet federal lighting requirements. I recommend going with the # STL69RRXB because it's not much more in cost and you will not need any additional parts. I included...

  • Differences Between Optronics # STL69RRXB and # STL69RB LED Stop/Turn/Tail Lights
The only difference between the two is the height of the lamp. The Optronics # STL69RRXB is 15 inches long by 1-5/8 inches tall, while the # STL69RB is 15 inches long by 1-3/8 inches tall, a 1/4 inch difference. Other than that, both lamps are pretty much identical.

  • Could the Optronics Trailer Light # STL69RB Be Used as a Third Brake Light on a Trailer
The brake output circuit of your vehicle/trailer wiring wouldn't be an ideal circuit to power the third brake light of a trailer unless you wanted to modify the circuit on your tow vehicle. You would have to run a brake light circuit straight to the brake output circuit so that the pin sees 12 volts when the brake are applied. Trying to run the output from a brake controller to a third brake light wouldn't be a feasible option. A brake controller won't send a full 12 volts to the output...

  • Is the Optronics Trailer Lights # STL69RB Sold Individually
The Optronics Trailer Lights # STL69RB that you referenced is sold individually. If you needed a quantity of 2 you would need to enter 2 into the quantity box before hitting add to cart. You might also be interested in purchasing the chrome base for this light, part # A69CB.

  • Long Thin Trailer Tail Light With Chrome Base
We have a long, thin trailer tail light with a chrome base, but the Optronics Thin Oval LED Tail Light, # STL76RB, does not have a chrome base option. Another light that you may be interested in is the Optronics Sealed Thin Line LED Trailer Light, # STL69RB, and the Chrome Base, # A69CB.

  • Installation Of 3 Wire LED Marker Lights
We don't carry lights with those colors, so you will need to test them based on function. Normally black and red are power and white is ground like you see in the # STL69RB. I would try the yellow as ground. Red is most likely the turn signal and brake function and black is most likely the constant running light.

  • Troubleshooting LED Trailer Lights Not Functioning Correctly
The Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light - Stop, Tail, Turn - Submersible - 11 Diodes - Red Lens # STL69RB sounds like the ground wire is not connected to a clean connection. It should be bare metal to metal and free of corrosion or debris. If your clearance lights are blinking, it is most definitely a ground issue and maybe your main trailer ground needs to be looked at as well.

  • Troubleshooting Thinline LED Trailer Light that Was Partially Lighting and Then Stopped
Check the connection the wires of the ThinLine LED part # STL69RB are making to your trailer wiring. It sounds like the running light circuit isn't making a solid connection. If the wiring is good though it would be time to replace the light since that would indicate the light is damaged.

  • Troubleshooting LED Trailer Light Functions
The Sealed, Thin Line, Over 80" LED Trailer Stop/Turn/Tail Light, 3-Function, 11 Diode # STL69RB has had great reviews with our customers. You can test the light by simply connecting that brake wire to a 12V power. This will let you know if the light is bad or if the wiring is bad leading up to it. Most of the time when a single function isn't working correctly it is due to a poor ground wire connection. I recommend making sure your ground wire connection is bare metal to metal and...

  • Trailer Led Strip Light Wiring For Brake and Tail Light
On your new lights 3 wire LED bar you will likely connect the brown wire to black, the green wire to red, and the white wire to ground on your trailer frame. On your current wiring, the brown is likely the running light circuit and the green is your turn/brake light. The ground is in the mounting hardware to your trailer frame. You can use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to ensure this is the wiring for your trailer. If you need more assistance you can use the attached help article...

  • Replacement Third Brake Light for a 2007 Tiffin Allegro
Hey Sabrina! I checked with our vendors and we do not have a third brake light that would be an exact replacement for the one currently on your 2007 Tiffin Allegro. The closest option we have is the Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light item # STL69RB. This one measures 15" long x 1-3/8" tall x 5/8" deep. The mounting holes are 14-1/8" apart. The Thinline LED Trailer Tail Light item # STL69RB is going to be a great upgrade though. It's an LED light so it's going to last quite a bit longer and...

  • Can a Third Brake Light and Running be Added to a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab
In order to get a light like # STL69RB, to function as a third brake light and running light, you will have to tap into specific wires on the truck. For the running light function, you can tap into any wire that carries the running light function and attach it to the black wire on this light. But the stop light is going to be a little trickier. You do not want to tap into the 4-Way trailer wiring because that would cause the light to blink with a turn signal. What you need is the center...
