The waterproof construction of these lights make them ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. Each circuit board is sealed, which means that water will not damage the diodes or circuit board.
If a trailer is 80" or wider at its widest point, then it requires rear clearance lights in addition to basic trailer lights. These clearance lights indicate the width of the trailer when it is viewed from the back.
To meet these requirements on a flatbed utility trailer where the bed extends past the wheels, you can install combination trailer lights that include the rear clearance function. For proper mounting, the lights must be installed at the widest points on the rear of the trailer - one on each corner.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.

The web site said delivery by Thursday 8/29 and it showed up on Thursday evening. These really looked far better than the lights I replaced. I’m sure will get a lot of years from this product. The trailer lights were shipped and arrived on time exactly as described. The lights were easy to install and have been working for almost a year now.
Great quality. Super simple to install. It is all in one and the wiring harness is one piece. Makes the job simple. Lights are bright. I added side marker lights.
So far, so good. I used this kit on my boat trailer. So far it seems to be holding up, although I unplug it for launching the boat just in case. I certainly wouldn't recommend using the splices that come with this kit seeing as they are anything but waterproof.
I am happy with how fast it was delivered. But the packing worried me. The small plastic lights were just tossed into the box along with the very heavy trailer hitch. The edge of the box was torn. The heavy metal hitch could have very easily crushed the plastic items. Maybe those could have been placed inside a rolled up paper bag.
But lucking out there was no breakage.
I will review after I install. But I like it. The led light wires are big enough to splice onto other wires.

I needed an extra set of stop/turn lights for a bike rack. You couldn’t see the existing lights when I put a bike cover on. Problem solved. Very bright. Works and looks as described.
Could have bought same quality at Harbor Freught for $[XX] less!! Typical made in China inferior hardware, missing bolts, not enough connectors, etc

The trailer lights got delivered this morning and on the waverunner trailer this afternoon. Easy to install and are a lot better than the stock lights I removed to put these on. Thumbs-up to etrailer.

Bought this kit to replace a failed set of waterproof filament type boat trailer lights. This is my second purchase of LED lights, I love how bright they are. Total cost of this complete LED set was only a few dollars more than the cost of replacing just one failed filament bulb in a sealed pod set. I give the product a good rating So far. I'm not finished yet but it's coming along. The negative to me is the instructions. First is the size of printing (small and unreadable) of the combined picture of the trailer and electrical schematic (2" x 1"). It is very hard to follow and understand. Helpful tips would be a good idea. The added rear light bar I ordered needs some attention as to mounting and wiring. I think once I get through with the wiring and assembly I will be happy. All the lights and mounting technique seems well done.

This kit was fantastic. It was easy to install. I made a few mods, like soldering all the wire connections, then taping them. The lights are so much better than the incandescent ones I had before. Very pleased with this kit and etrailer. Resonable price and fast shipping were the icing on the cake.

This is a good deal. I used this package to re-wire my entire trailer. The one I bought was 18 gauge. You couldn't find the wire size anywhere in the description, so I hope that info helps somebody. You are required by law to have certain lights and reflectors on your trailer. In addition to tail and brake lights, these two tail lights contain 7 required fixtures, 4 reflectors, license plate light, and rear side lights. The plastic license plate holder is perfect. It flexes/swings as you put your boat in and out of the water, so your plate won't bend. I used the little blue quick connectors to add the sidelights to this harness. I used plenty of grease at my connections and liquid electric tape to seal them. No problems so far!
Nice bright lights! Easy to install. These units on my 2002 trailer replaced Wesbar units of almost the same size and the mounting holes were the same size and pitch. The old incandescent Wesbar lights would have been easier to replace with LED units from the same manufacturer as they had quick connection plug-ins in the harness. The new ones did not and I had to cut out the plugs from the harness and solder the wires together. I did not replace the wiring harness with the one that was supplied but will keep it for a spare for the future.
The light assemblies have openings in the back face. It would have been nice if they were completely sealed to keep out mud and water thrown up from the trailer wheels. This will require that you remove the lens from time to time to clean them. This is a problem that caused me to be pulled over by police for dim lights last year. Hopefully the brighter LED's will prevent this.
All in all, a nice product for the price though.
I have owned these lights for at least a year. Still love them. No problems whatsoever over the last year. etrailer is a great vendor to buy accessories from. Great products and customer service !!!

Great experience on etrailer + shipping, but the length of the wire assembly was incorrect. When I read 25' of wire, I expect I would have at least 25 feet from the lights to the connection on the truck. It is 25' if you connect the male and female together which then leaves you with no connection at the truck. I will either now have to splice in the wire (8 new potential break points), get a new male connector for the truck (leaving another connection point failure, or get new wire harness. I wish a longer wire kit was recommended at purchase vs. butt connectors that were too big.
BTW- The lights look great, but the wiring and the connections leave a lot to be desired.
This kit has everything you need. If you're going through the hassle of putting new lights on, just go ahead and replace the wiring and mounting hardware too. Make sure you have it grounded correctly and get the heat shrink connectors and the trailer wiring installation kit (both sold separately). In about an hour you can have your trailer completely rewired, good as new.
