A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.

Today we are going to show you Petersons amber flush mount clearance light with chrome trim, part number 424800. This light includes a 2000 hour heavy-duty bulb. It is designed to mount on mounting holes that are 2-11/16 inches on center. It is a two wire design, meaning that one wire will serve as our ground and the other for our power. Next we will hook it up to a power supply so you can see how the light looks. We will connect one wire to our power and the other to our ground. Next we will turn off the overhead lights so you can see how bright the light is. And that does it for Petersons amber flush mount clearance light with chrome trim, part number 424800.

great product great price great customer service shipped quickly great flush mount I am using this on the front of my royal ride golf cart as turn signals I like the fact that the two screws hold the complete light and lens in is great my old lite takes 4 screws and I like the easy push in bulb thanks so much for all of your help please if you need and trailer lights or trailer give etrailer a chance you will be glad you did the people there are very easy to work with
I purchased this item to replace an older style Peterson 126 light in a 1996 horse trailer. It took a few minutes to make the new fixture fit. It was easy to do and works great! Once installed it looks like the original one it replaced.
The new 126A light was just slightly different from the old model that it replaced. The old light was connected using a single wire, the mounting screws were in a different location, and the center portion was slightly smaller in diameter.
Using a round file I enlarged the hole in the trailer slightly, drilled two new mounting holes using the light fixture as a template, and installed a ring terminal on one of the wires to connect it to the trailer (ground). Perfectly happy with the results.

Used as replacement on our 1996 Circle J horse trailer. I ordered the identical Peterson light that was on the trailer from the factory hoping for a simple swap. These lights seemed to have been redesigned. The originals on the trailer had separate mounting holes so I ended up having to modify each light to mount using the existing holes. I also had to make the center hole for the fixture larger on the trailer. Not a deal breaker but ended up taking a lot longer than I was anticipating.
I rated these as a 3 star because at some point they must have changed the design so they are the same part number as my old ones but the sockets is much bigger. As for quality and look I would rate a 5 star, especially if they had worked!

I FINALLY FOUND THESE ! These items They aren't readily available in amber and I had to browse a lot of web sites to find these. That being said, they will do the job but are made of a cheap plastic .I hope they won't crack I like them because I don't have a lot of clearance and these don't extend out (SLIGHTLY RECESSED) which is why I bought them.

Dimensions were slightly off from existing parts... but I have 1993 horse trailer so it was not a surprise. I was able to redrill screw and socket holes and install without much fuss.
One year later the trailer lights are still working like new.
Just what I needed to match the existing lights on my trailer, and the price was right.
