Video Transcript for Titan Chain Safety Chains and Cables - Safety Chains - TCTSCG30-772-07X2 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a 72 inch long safety chain with quick links. The safety chain helps ensure safe towing. It provides a backup connection between your trailer and your tow vehicle. There is a quick link on each end of the chain to provide an easy and secure way of connecting the chain. It has the threaded connector. Very easy and simple to use, very easy to open and to close and provides a very secure connection. Now since this is a longer chain, again 72 inches, you can actually find the middle link and bolt that to your trailer tongue.

So one chain becomes two pretty easy, or if you need the 72 inches, you can actually purchase another one and have two 72 inch long safety chains. We're looking at durable steel construction, grade 30 chain with zinc finishing that resists rust and corrosion. Weight capacity is 5000 pounds. Overall length is 72 inches. Chain length diameter is a quarter inch. Quick link diameter is excuse me, 5/16 of an inch and I took a measurement of the opening right here, that gap, that also measures 5/16 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the 72 inch long safety chain with quick links..

  • 6 Foot Long Trailer Safety Chains For Swing Away Hinge
Sounds like you need 6 foot safety chains for use on your trailer that is using the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit for 3" x 3" Tongue - Bolt On - Up to 5,000 lbs # FHDPB330301. We have the perfect option for 5k rated chains of that length, and you can choose between an S-hook with latch or quick link. I'm giving the option because some people don't like the S-hook (even with the latch), but some prefer it's ease of use over the quick link, so just go with whatever you are more comfortable...
