I bought an older home built trailer that needed spindles and I was not sure which ones I needed. I called etrailer and Brittany was able to figure out what I needed with the limited amount of information that I was able to provide. These spindle were the correct ones and fit without any issues. The spindles are solid and very well built.

by:

the product is great which is why purchased it to rebuild my axles on my gooseneck car hauler. I was greatly disappointed in the shipping which turned out to be more of a poorly planned joke. First product was back ordered and I was never informed of the 1 month lead time it took. I only got emails pushing the shipping date back one week at a time. I finally reached out and was Informed they were waiting for the manufacture to build the product. When I finally got the 4 spindles the box was absolutely destroyed. Spindles were loosely put in box allowing 40 lbs of metal to roll freely which tore the box to pieces. Now I have spindles that are missing 3 out of 4 castle nuts and washers. Two of the four spindles have dents and small imperfections from them bouncing around on each other. Packaging needs to be seriously looked at

Accurate description, great price, fast delivery

by:

The spindle wasn't quite the 2 1/4 " therefore it slowed down the welding process. overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of it.The ship[ping was extremely fast. Much better quality than the factory one that snapped in half.Time will tell!!

by:

Awesome customer service !!!

by:

5.2k-7k axles are 3"OD and 2 1/2" inside diameter on a standard #42 axle. My fault I didn't cut the old one off first. You had better check before ordering. I have no idea where this one would be used.

by:

Works great

by:

by:

shorter than i thought they were but with some simple fab work can work excellent in any condition

by:

Now this was awesome. I did have to get turned down a little so I could press it in to axle but that's perfect so it was tight and straight. Then welded the back to secure.

by:

Perfect

  • Can Trailer Axle Spindle be Replaced
You can replace the spindle of your axle but you would need to know the axle capacity to pick out the correct one. For a 3,500 lb axle the correct spindle would be the part # TRU74FR or if you have a 5.2k to 7k axle you'd want the part # TRU37FR.

  • Parts Needed To Install 6 on 5-1/2" Brake Hub/Drums on a M1101 Military Trailer
First you are going to want to disassemble one of your hubs to verify if you have the #42 Spindle # TRU37FR. I have found this is the spindle some have found but you will need to determine it is what you have and if not you will need to have a pair of the spindles welded onto your axle. This will then allow you to install the Electric Brakes # AKEBRK-7-SA along with the 2 of the 6 on 5-1/2" Drum/Hubs # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K. The hubs are complete with bearings pre-greased and seals inserted in...

With the hub # K08-201-9B and brakes # 23-112-113 in place on the # TRU37FR spindle, the hub face will be 4-1/4" inches out from the front side of the brake mounting flange.

  • Trailer Hub & Spindle For 7,000 lb Axle With 12 Inch Electric Brakes
First, thanks for all that detailed information, it was very helpful. And we can get you parts for your trailer, though the issue is that there isn't an available hub for your spindle due to what you mentioned - the uncommon 501349 bearing, which is for older agricultural spindles. There also isn't a 7,000 lb-rated hub with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern to go with your 7k-rated Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # 23-464 and # 23-465. So what that means is you'll have to...

  • Can Spindles of Dexter Torflex Axles be Replaced
Dexter Torflex axles do have spindles that can be replaced but we would just need to know the capacity of your axles to pick out the correct one. For example if you have a 5.2k to 7k axle you'd want the part # TRU37FR. If you have a different capacity axle check out the link I attached to se all of the options we have.

  • What Spindle Fits the Trailer Hub # AKIHUB-655-6-K
I think you may be going about replacing your hubs backwards. The only way to do it is to first determine what spindle you have on the trailer and then find the correct hub to fit it by either using the bearing numbers or the dimensions of the spindle. The Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-655-6-K would require a 42 spindle like the part # TRU37FR. This hub has 1.25 and 1.75 inches where the bearings ride. If you send me the info you find I can help you find the right part.

  • How Can the #42 E-Z Lube Spindle Fit Both a 5.2K and 7K Axles
There are usually only a few small difference between a 5,200 lb and a 7,000 lb trailer axle but not every two are the same even with the same capacity as different manufacturers make them to different specs. The actual axle thickness can play a role in capacity as well as the brakes/hubs. The #42 E-Z Lube Spindle part # TRU37FR can work with either so long as the inner diameter is 2-1/4".

  • Recommendation For Spindles That Go With Dexter Trailer Idler Hub For 5,200-lb And 6,000-lb Axles
Yes, we do. For the Dexter Idler Hub Assembly, Item # 8-213-5UC1, you can use spindle, Item # TRU57FR. If you are open to shifting to an EZ-Lube option, you could get a Dexter Idler Hub Assembly, Item # 8-213-5UC1-EZ, and TruRyde EZ Lube Spindle, Item # TRU37FR. Both spindles also work with inner bearings like Item # 25580 and outer bearings like Item # LM67048. • What Spindles Should be Used on Dexter 7k Trailer Axle
Yes, the number 42 spindle is the standard for Dexter 7k axles like what you have. For that we have the part # TRU57FR which does not have a brake flange or we have the part # TRU37FR which does have the brake flange.

  • Replacement Spindle Recommendation for Dexter # 42
Looks like you are in need of a number 42 spindle like the part # TRU37FR. The numbers you listed aren't part numbers but judging by the shape of what you sent in a picture of this is a match. You still might verify this though by measuring where the bearings ride. If those dimensions are 1.25 and 1.74 inch then this is the correct.

There is not a Cad drawing of the #42 E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Flange for 5.2K to 7K Trailer Axles - 2-1/4" Diameter # TRU37FR available, but I did include a diagram showing all of the dimensions. It is recommended to have a an axle shop weld the spindle on as they will have all of the required tools and fixtures to square the spindle perfectly to the trailer.

It is 3 inches from the end to where the weld is for the brake flange. The brake flange itself is a hair under 1/4 inches thick. The distance from the flange to the tip of the grease fitting is 7-1/2 inches. But to the end of the threaded part it is 7-1/4 inches. The overall length from tip to tip is approximately 11-1/8 inches....

  • Replacement Spindle And Hub For 6,000 lb Axle on Boat Trailer
