  • Are #84 Spindles Threaded into the Axle?
No, they're welded. You assumed correctly. The spindles listed below that I referenced in your previous question all have to be welded on. There are no thread on spindles. #84 Spindle for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 2" Diameter item # TRU24FR #84 Spindle for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 1-3/4" Diameter item # TRU84FR Square #84 Spindle for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 1-1/2" Wide item # TRU47FR

  • Recommended Replacement Disc Brakes For A 2008 Trail-Rite With UFP DB-42 Brakes
From the pictures you provided, you have a UFP DB-42 disc brake set up on your 2008 Trail-Rite. This isn't something we carry, but it looks like these systems use the # L68149 inner bearing and the # L44649 bearing, so you do have a common spindle for a 3,500 pound axle. With that said, we do have the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2HR35DS that looks like it would be a perfect replacement. This is rated for 3,500 pound axles and will use these same bearings, though not included so you will need...

  • Mounting Bolt Pattern of 10 Inch Electric Drum Brake Assemblies
The Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 lbs # AKEBRK-35 has a mounting pattern that is typical for 3,500 lb axles. The center on center horizontal measurement of the mounting bolts are 2-7/8 inches and diagonal center on center of 4 inches. You can see this with the mounting flange # 4-35. I can't confirm the fit of the hubs on your trailer without knowing if the spindles on the axles are the standard length or not. The standard spindle length leading...

  • Longest Replacement Trailer Spindle with 6 Lug Hub
The longest spindle we have is the part # TRU84FR which is 11-1/4 inches long overall. So for 6 lug hubs that would fit this you'd want the part # 84656UC3-EZ for a hub drum or part # AKIHUB-655-35-EZ-K for an idler hub.

  • Replacement Hub for Trailer With Timken 158123 Inner and 09067 Outer Bearing
I looked through our selection of hubs and hub/drums, and couldn't find anything compatible with the bearings you mentioned. This leaves you with two alternatives. Number one would be to cut off your existing spindles and install spindles like # TRU84FR that would be compatible with a standard hub like # 84545BX. The hub has the same number of lugs and bolt circle as your existing hubs, so you could use the same wheels. Removing the old spindles and welding the new ones into place is best...

  • What Size of Spindle is Needed for a 3,500-Lb Axle
I have three spindles that are for a 3,500-lb axle and have the bearing dimensions you have listed. The only difference is the dimension for the grease seal is 1.75 inches, not the 1.795 inches that you have mentioned. Maybe you typed in the seal diameter wrong. The hub number you have mentioned is just a casting number, not a part number. The three spindles I have for a 3,500-lb axle are as follows. #84 Spindle - 1-3/4" Diameter (8-1/4" OAL) # TRU64FR #84 E-Z Lube Spindle w/ Brake Flange...

Once you know what the measurements or numbers are you can either filter through our selection...

  • Do I Need to Replace #84 Spindle With Rust On Surface and What Bearing Kit Do I Need
You should still be able to use your spindle without having to replace anything, especially because this is not in the seating areas for the bearings. Regardless, I recommend cleaning off the spindle with emery cloth to try to remove as much of the rust as possible. • Replacement Hub, Bearings, Races, and Seals for Trailer Hub with H-1377 Bearing
First, it does sound like, based on the measurement and information you have provided, that race # L68110, is correct since its outer diameter is 2.327 inches. This race is associated with bearing # L68149 which has an inner diameter of 1.378 inches and fits a number 84 spindle. On these spindles the diameter where the seal goes is 1.73 inches such as # TRU84FR. The seal should be a tight fit. • How to Grease Trailer Bearings and Spindle without EZ Lube Axle and Spindle
If you don't have an EZ-Lube spindle on your axle then you'll need to remove the hub, remove and repack the bearings, races and seals manually. Standard trailer bearings should be re-packed and greased every 10,000 to 12,000 miles in normal towing conditions; if you're routinely towing at maximum load or live in an extremely warm and dry area it might be less than that. This will be the only way to properly grease the bearings and spindle to perform this routine maintenance. If you don't...
