The number you provided, "7753400" is a patent number which corelates to the Equalizer for E-Z Flex Suspension part # 013-144-03. This is for a single equalizer but if you need the entire kit it's the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit part # K71-653-00.

  • Replacement for Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizers 13-144
Hi Robert; thanks for providing that information and the picture. The rubber isn't something that can be replaced so you will need to swap out the whole equalizer. The correct part is the Replacement Equalizer for E-Z Flex Suspension Kits # 013-144-03. These will be identical to your current 13-144 equalizers (aside from the cracked rubber).

  • Replacement For Dexter E-Z Flex Equalizer 13-144
Hi Mikolaj, We do have the correct replacement for the E-Z Flex equalizer marked 13-144, and what you need is the Replacement Equalizer for E-Z Flex Suspension Kits # 013-144-03. It mentions "triple axle" on the product page but the # 013-144-03 is also a replacement for tandem axle setups like yours.

  • How to Find the Correct Replacement E-Z Flex Equalizer
To find the correct E-Z Flex Equalizer, you will need to take off your current ones and measure the distance from the center of the one end hole to the center of the other. You will also need to ensure that your leaf springs are 1-3/4" wide. When you take them off and measure center hole to center hole, you should find one of the following measurements along with its corresponding replacement: 6-3/4" - part # 013-145-03 7-3/4" - part # 013-144-03 8-3/8" - part # 013-146-03 If your measurement...

  • Replacement EZ Flex Equalizer Kit for Tandem Axle Trailer with 7k Axles
Based on the current condition of your Dexter EZ Flex kit it's going to be the best solution to replace the entire kit with the part # K71-653-00. This comes with the two new equalizers you need, all new shackle straps, new bolts, nuts, and bushings. This kit includes shackles that are much thicker than what you have now which will be much more heavy duty and last a lot longer. Since the shackles are what wore out the rest of your system too this will give the entire setup a much more heavy...

  • Determining Which Equalizers, Shackles, and Wet Bolts Fit Trailer W/ Squeaking Suspension
I would be happy to walk you through how to determine which replacement components you will need, but you will need to take a few measurements of the components on your trailer. First the # 013-144-03 you were looking at measures 7-3/4" from center to center of the horizontal mounting holes as shown in the included diagram. As long as this matches your current equalizers this would be a great replacement option. Moving on to the shackles you will need to measure center to center of the...

  • Do I Need Shorter Straps or Taller Equalizer for My Trailer with Double Eye Leaf Springs
Considering all that has been done so far, I think the first step I would take here is to go with the shorter shackle straps. If you're still getting contact with the trailer frame, I would then take a look at upgrading to a taller equalizer like the Dexter EZ-Flex # 013-144-03 or you could have the front and rear hangers cut off and welded back on 1/2" further from each other in each direction. I've linked our selection of shackle straps to this question so you can find what you're looking...

  • Replacement Bushing and Rubber Core for E-Z Flex Equalizers
A replacement equalizer will be necessary if the rubber core needs to be replaced. If you measure your equalizer you will be able to determine which replacement you need. For example, the # 013-144-03 Replacement Equalizer measures 7-3/4" from center hole to center hole. If you provide me with this information I would be happy to make a recommendation. As for the bushing, we do not have replacements based on the measurements you provided. I have attached a picture showing the measurement...

  • How To Reduce Chucking On a 5th Wheel Camper Using a Goose Neck Hitch
There could be a few things that cause chucking. If extra weight has been added to the front or back of the trailer or traveling with any of your tanks full. In my experience I have not found that adding or reducing the pressure in your tires will change the chucking effect What I have found that reduces the chucking effect is replacing the equalizers on the trailer. Chucking is usually caused by the two axles working against each other. For instance when you apply the brakes on the...
