Jeff Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at the replacement 2 1/4 inch long shackle link with the nine sixteenth wet bolts. For the Dexter trailer suspension kits. Now this will replace the shackle link and the bolts from your Dexter suspension kit. It is designed to work with the heavy duty suspension kits and also works with the easy flex suspension kits. You can see this part will include one shackle link here and then the two wet bolts.
Now the wet bolts are nice because if you notice they have the grease zerk fittings on the end, allows you to attach a grease gun to and they're greaseable bolts that when you pump the grease into the bolt, it'll go inside and come out this hole here and then it'll grease the inside of the bushing, that will be installed on the bolt and that'll help extend the life of your suspension system. Few specs on this, the bolt, the diameter right here is gonna be nine sixteenth of an inch. Overall length, which will be measured from the bottom of the head to the very end of the bolt. So if we put a ruler on that, it's gonna be right at three and three eighths inches long. The shackle dimension is gonna be a half inch thick.
And then the length, when we call this a 2 1/4 inch long shackle link, what we're measuring is from the center to the center of the two holes on the link. So if we put our ruler on that, it's right at 2 1/4 inches. But that should do it for the review on the replacement 2 1/4 inch long shackle link with the nine sixteenth diameter wet bolts for the Dexter trailer suspension kits..

The Dexter suspension kit really quieted the trailer noises down. Easy to install as well.
I was missing 4 shackle straps from order I only got 2 getting tired of waiting

As for the customer service not so much I was sent the wrong parts
I had paid extra to get my parts delivered sooner as I was leaving town i got the parts delivered quickly but got 3 of the wrong shackles and 1 of the proper ones I told them I need the parts as soon as possible because I was leaving town of course they did not help. They sent them too late. That’s poor customer service so I ordered the parts from Amazon. Got them the next day. Now I got parts that I won’t need for another 10 years. I guess it’s Amazon next time too.
The parts are great. Make sure to read the description. It only come with 2 wet bolts and 2 shackles. You will still need more shackles and nuts. To complete the other side.
This was a follow on purchase for the replacement of the stock equalizers, Lippert 13-104, on my Winnebago 2401RG. I replaced them with the E-Z Flex suspension Kit for double eye spring. For the spacing of the axles on my rig I used kit K71-652-00 which I got from etrailer. I contacted them because the axle spacing was a few inches shorter than specified. After installation we did a trip from Maryland to the West coast and back. The suspension system worked well. No squeaking or pops when backing in to a campsite and less things shifting about during travel.
These were way better than what came on my trailer- the original ones were stretching and a couple had even split. Being greaseable should help make last even longer. Metal straps on end were twice the thickness. The only down fall is they did not come with the second strap and nuts.
Dexter shackle link and strap worked out well. High quality and every thing fit. One suggestion would be to offer the 2 1/4" version in a kit similar to the 31/4" inch kit, containing shackle link, strap and bushing. Other wise excellent product and service. Thank you. Steven D
The replacement shackle link with wet bolts kit is by far superior to what was on the suspension system of the RV. There are no more snap crackle & popping sounds coming from the suspension system of the RV. Now that the components can be greased.
Ordered the equa flex suspension system and the greaseable bolts and shackle kit that match the system. Rec'd the parts one day ahead of schedule. One of the prepared shackles with two greasable bolts was bent about 10 degrees from perpendicular. Contacted Jay at etrailer that same day and he was able to locate a replacement for me. There was no hassle or questioning my truthfulness! The replacement part is expected to be here shortly. Great service again as always. RV builder in Indiana was not able to get me the needed parts for 1 to 2 months.
This was a replacement part for a defective backing plate for the shackle. Well handled by etrailer. Once received, the rest of the suspension went on flawlessly.

Product was fine. It took too long to get shipped since I had also ordered a part not available. You need an option to ship separately if the delay is for a long period such as a month on this order to start with. Product works fine and is easy to install
