Today, we're going to take a look at the Lippert Components Tandem Axle Equa-Flex Attaching Parts Kit. Now this hardware kit will upgrade your tandem axle trailer suspension. Replaces the shackle assemblies, the wet bolts, and the nuts on your trailer's tandem axle suspension. And it is designed to work with 3000-lb to 8,000-lb Equa-Flex equalizers, which we do sell separately on our website. Basically the patented Equa-Flex rubberized equalizer will help absorb road shock like a sponge instead of transferring it to your RV or cargo trailer, preventing any damage that can be caused by a bumpy ride. Also the Equa-Flex will reduce four and a half movement, often referred to as chucking, to provide a nice, smooth, comfortable ride for you and your passengers. This kit will include everything laid out here on the table.
It includes four of these 3-1/8" long shackle assemblies, six of these 3-1/4" by 3/8" diameter shoulder bolt assemblies, the four shackle links and the 14 prevailing torque nuts. And you can see all the bolts are a wet bolt, which means you can see they have this inaudible 00:01:05 fitting on the end, which allow you to attach a grease gun and lubricate the suspension system. But that should do it for the review on the Lippert Components Tandem Axle Equa-Flex Attaching Parts Kit.

Upgrade your tandem-axle trailer's suspension with this hardware kit. Works with Equa-Flex equalizers rated between 3,000-lbs and 8,000-lbs.Overall, very disappointed in how well these hold up. The grease holes in the wet bolts constantly plug up. Our trailer is used on a daily basis and I started off with a monthly schedule to grease. They were all plugged. Had to take them apart to unplug them and it was too late, they were already wearing into the bushings. Fixed that, tried a weekly grease schedule. Same thing, repeat. Every other day now I'm greasing them. Still plugging up, not everyone, but at least half. I'm tired of taking these apart to unplug the grease holes after every trip. I'm using an electric grease gun and it will either max out the pressure and bypass, or actually crack the zerk fitting and leak grease everywhere. I have tried everything to prevent the wet bolts from plugging, but to no avail. The grease hole in the wet bolt is packing with bushing material. I have tried numerous types of grease and nothing has helped. Also, the knurling on the wet bolt where they are supposed to be pressed into the shackle plate, does not help either. This wears very quickly and starts wearing out the shackle plate. I am averaging a set (plus bushings) every 4 months. While this seems like a good idea, functionality wise, it does not work. But I guess they're better than the standard shackle bolts where the only grease they'll ever see is on initial installation. Sorry I don't have any photos as I am usually irritated with grease all over my hands taking these back apart I don't bother to grab my phone.
Perfect fit
Received the correct amount of each part. Look good. We will have our technicians install. Thank you. Now we can lubricate easily.
Looks like it’ll function just fine but the bolts that come with it don’t match the description in the product info size wise, although they do fit. There are two extra bolts, don’t know what they’re for, possibly the upper equalizer mount, but too small for that.
After the install, you can really tell how much more stable the camper is. Things don't move around as much like they use to inside the camper.
these go part-and-parcel with the equalizers. I like being able to grease the fittings on suspension parts, it just makes sense. Again, Mary at eTrailer was very helpful with my order!
Replacing factory shackles (had one break already on 2016 5th wheel trailer). These are not as heavy as the MORyde ones appear to be, but will still be an improvement over the dry bolts.
Did not come with instructions. I had to do some research to make sure I installed correctly.
I used a paint pen to mark where tho grease exit hole was to make sure hole was on side not the top or bottom.
With only about 2000 miles on our camper I was surprised the condition of the dry bushings. I am glad I decided to change to the wet bolt system.
After install I used the paint pen again to make a line on nut and surrounding area for quick reference to see if the nut was starting to loosen.
Our order was shipped when we were told it would and it was complete. Everything seemed to be on good order and we are anxious to get it installed. etrailer.com was a pleasure to work with.
Perfect fit and quick shipping!
Night and day difference in towing, smooths out the bumps and makes the ride great. Installation wasn't bad, did it myself with a helper, took 4 hours total along with replacing all the bolts with wet bolts.
Received what I expected to receive a few days sooner than I expected. Etrailer seems a good place to find quality products for trailers etc…
Parts arrived in good order and were what I needed. Don’t forget to order bushings.
The product was not a problem but the company that I ordered them from was the problem. Did not pay attention to what they sent and cost me time and money.

Hard to get an answeron what would fit my rig.
Cheap bolts, stripped out before even getting to the torque specs.

Great upgrade. Feel safer rolling down the road

Its been over a year since I did my install. Still one of the best mods Ive done on my camper. No more worn out plastic bushings.
