Hello, everybody. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at the third axle add-on kit for the Roadmaster Comfort Ride slipper springs. Folks, this is rated at 7,000 pounds or four to 7,000 pound axle and it's gonna be a third axle slipper spring system. So that just means you must use it in conjunction with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride shock absorber system. And basically, you already need to have a tandem axle kit.
This is just simply adding on that third slipper spring kit to give you a total of three components, or systems rather, for your triple axle trailer. Now, the hook into this will sit inside of the slipper spring boxes on top of the bolt here, and that's gonna go through those boxes as you can see. And it's gonna allow for movement, or some movement rather. And it's gonna help separate the axles from each other so they can move more independently. And that in turn's gonna give you a much nicer ride overall.
It's also gonna be helping to dissipate the energy that's traveling through your trailer and it's gonna take a lot of that normal shake and shimmy and bumps that you typically get with the triple axle trailer or RV or whatnot or camper. So basically what you're looking at here, let me zoom in for some hardware, and you get all the hardware included. I've got some of it loosely fitting on the boxes here, the spring boxes. And you're gonna get everything, the wedges, everything you need to complete the install for this third axle add-on. Now zooming back out, let's get some quick dimensions.
Overall on this main box, I got 17.25 inches wide. As far as the height, I'll turn it around this way for you, but I premeasured. I got about 6.5 inches tall. And then as far as these nine holes here on top, there's some nine holes. Center to center, I got right at 16 inches on center.
Now the springs, you can't see 'em, but I went ahead and pre-measured 'em from the center eye to the. There's a hook in here on the other end. I got 26.5 inches long. So from center of the eye to the inside of that hook was 26.5 inches long. And then the width of these springs is 1 3/4 inches wide. So again, folks, this is just an add-on kit for the third axle for the Roadmaster Comfort Ride slipper spring kit. Again, you need to already have the tandem axle kit and use them in conjunction with the Comfort Ride shock absorber system. Well, that's gonna wrap it up for a quick look together today. I'm Steven, thanks for watching. And as always, stay safe while you're towing.
