We have had great experience with eTrailer, These parts came in as described.

by:

This product here fits perfect on my trailer no adjustment needed to be done go etrailer .. it was cheap plus fast shipping..

by:

Fast shipping great selection

by:

Well built. Perfect fit.

by:

Very high quality!

by:

Some 14K trailers use 11" equalizer slipper boxes, some use 12". The main issue is that the "V" piece on the slip end wears down allow the slipping spring to come out past the bottom keeper bolt. The 2nd problem is the welds for the center bolt sleeve break. Those welds are usually pretty minimal so check them before installing and add some weld to them if you want to. The center eye-bolt bushing can wear out too if bolt doesn't get lubed. I like WET equalizer bolts with castle nuts.

by:

Fast shipping. Quality product is better than OEM. Perfect fit!

by:

Although captured by the channel side frame, I'd like to see more weld on the bushing. There is about 20 mm long weld on the bottom of the bushing. I'd like to see as much weld as possible, perhaps 300 radial degrees instead of the 20 degrees to stiffen the entire linkup. The packing of the box was not good at all and these 2 equalizers nearly exited the box; I give the packing a zero star.

by:

These equalizer bars are a perfect fit for my customer and they last longer with the plastic bushings and greaseable pins than the factory equipment. The price can't be beat and the shipping was really quick. Its always easy to find the parts you need at etrailer.

by:

Theses equalizers were an exact match for what I was needing. I was really surprised to be able to find them on etrailer because no one in my area had them.

by:

Fits perfectly!!!

by:

These equalizers are high quality and are a perfect fit. They were a direct bolt up replacement for the old equalizers.

by:

Great help finding exactly what I needed. Received parts exactly when promised. Parts were in great condition and were exactly what I ordered and needed. Thanks etrailer.com

by:

All products received were correct, quality of parts exceeded my expectations. Etrailer employees go above and beyond for the customer, and their knowledge of products is outstanding! Will definitely return as a customer.

by:

Great service order came a day early which helped get our trailer back on the road sooner parts were a perfect fit

by:

Good product has worked great on my dump trailer, fast shipping

by:

After a year, suspension is still performing just as it should. Thanks!

by:

product description did not indicate that these came with a bushing already installed so i ordered more then what was needed. not a big deal because i will need them eventually.

by:

These appear to be manufactured from a quality piece of steel and formed without any cracks. All I needed to do was put a little primer and paint prior to installation. Also has the bushing already installed. Bolt holes matched my existing rocker assembly.

by:

Perfect replacement. Easy installation took about hr to install each side.

by:

Everything I have purchased from Etrailer has been good

by:

The right parts and the right price. I've placed many orders with etrailer and they always get it right.

by:

Great product, better than original. I am very pleased with the quality of both material and craftsmanship.

  • 12 Inch Long Equalizer For 2 Inch Slipper Springs & 8,000 lb U-Bolts For Tandem Axle Trailer
There isn't a complete kit, but I can go ahead and list out everything you need for a 12 inch long equalizer for 2 inch slipper springs, along with the mounting hardware and U-bolts for your 8,000 lb axles. Here is what you need for your tandem axle trailer: - 2 of the Equalizer for 2" Wide Slipper Springs # TREQ4541 - 8 of the Spring-Eye Bolt with Locknut for Slipper Springs - 3-1/2" Long # 166079 - 2 of the Equalizer Bolt with Cotter Pin and Castle Nut - 7/8" Diameter # 166078 - 2...

  • Replacement Bushing Recommendation for a Equalizer for 2
Yes we do the replacement bushing for the Equalizer for 2" Wide Slipper Springs # TREQ4541 that you referenced. The correct replacement bushing is the Nylon Bushing part # TRBU13871. I pulled a # TREQ4541 from our warehouse to confirm that it would fit.

  • What Is The Difference Between Center Hangers TRHG291-C and 29-1?
The Center Hanger for TruRyde Equalizer # TRHG291-C is specifically designed to be used with the Equalizer for 2" Wide Slipper Springs # TREQ4541. This is designed to work with trailer axles from 6,000-8,000lbs. The Redline Center Hanger for 2" Wide Slipper Springs - 3-1/2" Tall # 29-1 does have identical measurements and will bolt up using the Equalizer Bolt with Cotter Pin and Castle Nut # 166078 or Wet Bolt # TRFA71063. This hanger is rated for 3,500-9,000lb axles. So it will carry...

  • Slipper Leaf Springs, Equalizer and Wet Bolts for 2009 PJ Dump Trailer 7 x 14 14K
Yes, the leaf spring part # e74SR would work great on a tandem axle 14k trailer like your PJ dump trailer. The equalizer part # TREQ4541 is the correct one to use as well with this spring and trailer. For wet bolts you'd need the part # TRFA71063 for a 7/8 inch center bolt and then part # 126B2 for the 9/16 inch bolts and you'd be set.

  • Where Should a Slipper Spring Sit on the Hanger Bolt of My Suspension
The slipper spring should sit on the hanger bolt somewhere in the center of the flat part so that it allows a bit of movement as the suspension articulates. The curved ends will generally going to keep the spring from moving too far if the suspension articulates towards the rear of the trailer. If you're designing a new system, you'll want to find the closest spring size where the slipper end sits with the middle over that hanger bolt. Position 2 in your diagram would be the preferred orientation. I've...

  • How to Order Longer Equalizer Kit for Slipper Springs Than # APTT6SE
You'd have to piece together the kit you want as we don't have everything you need as a kit. For a 12 inch equalizer you'd want the part # TREQ4541, for a 5 inch front hanger part # 28-9-1, for a 4-1/2 inch center hanger part # 29-5-1, and then for a 6-3/8 inch rear hanger you'd want part # 30-6-1 and you'd be set.

  • Slipper Spring Hanger Positioning for 7,000 lb Tandem Axle
The spring hanger placement is going to be determined by your axle spacing. For example, if your axles are spaced 33 inches apart, as shown in the attached diagram, a 7K axle slipper spring, like # e74SR, requires a distance of 28-1/2 inches between the front and center hangers and 29-1/2 inches between the center and rear hangers, when using our Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2" Slipper Springs with 12" Long Equalizers, # APT6SE. I'm not sure exactly where you measured the 26-3/4...

  • Which Wet Bolt to Use with the Slipper Spring Equalizer TRFA71063
For a 7/8 inch bolt to use with the # TREQ4541 we only have the part # TRFA71063 which is 4-11/16 inches in length. It may seem a little long but it would still work well. The wet bolts are just as strong as the non-wet bolts we carry.

  • Availability of 12 inch Long Slipper Equalizer

  • Does Going to Shorter Suspension Equalizer Create Issues
Hey Dave, great question but on a slipper setup a slightly shorter equalizer won't create any problems. The axle wheelbase won't change either.

  • Replacement Recommendation For Improving Suspension For 14,000-lb Trailer
From the information and picture you sent, it looks like you have slipper springs for your trailer. Your picture seems to show a tandem trailer with a "Stright Equalizer" and the dimensions you sent are similar to such an equalizer in our available inventory, Item # TREQ4541. Unfortunately, I do not have cushioned equalizers that will work in your situation. However, I do recommend the Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Trailers, Item # TSR14KT01. • ShoreLand'r Boat Trailer Slipper End Leaf Spring Rubbing On Trailer Frame
On a slipper spring with a flat end like you have it is normal for the end of the spring to rub on the frame/spring hanger. With the style mount you have it makes me think you original springs were Open Ended # e24SR. This would help to explain the sleeve you have on the bolt as well as the spring would have rolled on the sleeve. The original spring was likely damaged and since they probably were not able to find the correct size they just went with what they could make work.

  • Availability of a 12 Inch Long Trailer Suspension Equalizer
For double eye springs, the longest I could find was the 8 inch # TREQR83, or # TREQR89. But, for slipper springs, there are some longer options. Closest to 12 inches we have the 11-1/2 inch # TREQ4541. You will want to be careful when moving axles because if they are too far apart, one set of wheels could drag the ground as you turn. It could also change the tongue weight of the trailer and you will need to account for any changes made when towing. There could be additional different...

The Equalizer for 2 Inch Wide Slipper Springs, # TREQ4541, is made from hot rolled steel, but it is not galvanized. This equalizer is the closest one to the measurements you have provided.
