I won't shop anywhere else! Excellent customer service. Huge selection. Prompt delivery. Everything I needed for my custom flatbed trailer (single axle,7000#).

Bought this to replace the shackle links and hardware for an existing aluminum trailer, did not use the brackets. Bolt shafts are "flared" on the inside head end so you need a press to push them into the bracket. Otherwise, you need to crank down the nuts as you install them to seat the bolts properly.

Good kit with the necessary parts to replace leaf spring suspension. I welded the hangers rather than bolting them. The parts are not coated for the price point so you will need to paint them or they will rust immediately.

Made a nice little trailer to haul wife’s golf cart!

I have been doing business with etrailer for several years and there deliveries, service and products are the best out there.

A good source for trailer parts. For finding parts, you need to know the specs of the trailer, not necessarily the manufacturer. Thanks etrailer!

I inherited an aluminum trailer that ended up needing a complete overhaul and etrailer was the best resource I could have found. After researching extensively to find out what I needed and watching their videos on how to do it I ended up ordering an EZ-lube axle, galvanized hubs, springs and a hanger kit (in other words everything from the frame down).
Everything shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. All the parts worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier!

Everything was just as I ordered it and it fits like a glove

All businesses should be like etrailer! The gal was so kind and knowledgeable to help my husband get the right leaf spring replacements. We ordered a tire last spring and the same, excellent service and prompt delivery. Thanks so much

Received my parts today and after examining everything all looks good.
The quality of parts looks excellent and can't wait to start installing them.
Shipping was fast and arrived as they said.
Great company to buy with.
Will was very helpful and very knowledgeable about parts.
If you call would definitely ask for Will.

Great product. Exactly what we needed

Product arrived just as described and very quickly. This kit was a great way to drop the springs on our trailer enough for the axle to be put on correctly.

The axle hanger kit arrived today. I have done a dry setup; everything fits as expected.

Thanks for your excellent product and prompt delivery.

Great service, great value

Quick shipping.......reasonable prices

Quick, easy, right part!

Great service, great product

Great Company! Fast Shipping!

Springs & hanger kit worked well.

my order arrived well packaged.
the parts
are every bit as good as OEM and went together nicely.

Nice product, did the job.

Very good product, and Im very satisfied thank you

Product was very good quality. Website was very thorough which made it much more comfortable ordering the proper parts. Fast delivery with updates throughout the process. Good quality service.

I had to email customer service as I bracket was folded incorrectly so that the bolt holes did not line up. Upon recieveing my email, a replacement was on the way! EXCELLENT customer service. Thank you etrailer.

The hangers look good and I believe they will do a great job. I need to move my axle back on my trailer so it will be able to haul some weight. It is a dump style body and can't handle weight, only on the front of the trailer. So I am going to move the axle back about 6 to 8 inches. The tracking info on the kit was great... ALL gratitude goes to your company...

It works great. Thanks for making a wonderful product. I give you 5 stars.

Worked great on my 5x10 utility trailer

  • Recommended Double Eye Leaf Springs and Hanger Kit for 3,500 Pound Axle Trailer
For double eye leaf springs, I recommend going with the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # SP210275. This spring is 25-1/8 inches long x 1-3/4 inches wide and designed for 3,500 pound axles. These springs are a common length for 3,500 pound trailers. One spring is included with the part number, so you will want to order 2 of the same spring in order to replace both sides. A suspension kit will provide you with new hangers, shackle bolts, shackle straps, and locknuts needed for your new leaf springs....

  • Hanger Spacing Recommendation for Leaf Spring # e28SR
Based on the description of the springs you have it sounds like you have the 4-Leaf Spring part # e28SR. This is a 4 leaf spring that measures 25-1/4 inches from eye to eye. I did some checking and the hanger kit you would want is the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APS4. And the distance between the spring hanger centers should be 24-7/8 inches.

  • Suspension Kit Recommendation for Overland Custom Trailer with 3.5K Dexter Axle
For an off-road application I highly recommend a Timbren Silent Ride Suspension system which is available for a 2-3/8" Round 3.5K Axle # TSR3500S04 or a 3" Round 3.5K Axle # TSR3500S06. These give you a little more control and perform better than your traditional axle leaf spring setup as you can see in the linked video. If you'd like to stick with the traditional leaf spring setup then I recommend the following parts: Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit - # APS4 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring -...

  • Hanger Placement with 3,500 lb Axle with Hanger Kit part # APS4 On Trailer with Axles Under Springs
Your axles being under the leaf springs will not change the hanger location recommendations listed for the Single Axle Hanger Kit part # APS4. You would want to have the hangers 25-3/4 apart measured on bolt center. However, since your axles are below the springs you would not need to have 5 inches between the center of the axle and the trailer frame.

  • Parts Needed to Change Slipper to Double Eye Leaf Springs for 2K Boat Trailer
The hangers used for slipper springs and leaf springs are different enough that you'll either need to stick with slipper springs or you'll need to cut off your current hangers and weld on new ones that are designed for double eye springs. If you decide to change everything out to double eye springs then I recommend using the following parts: - Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APS4 - 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # e84SR This will give you everything you need to...

  • Trailer Leaf Springs, Hangers, and U-bolts for a 3,500 Pound Axle
It does appear that the hanger in the picture has been overloaded or otherwise damaged so replacing them is a good idea. And like you said, since it has to be replaced anyway you could switch to double-eye springs which are more common so parts for them are easier to find. The springs do not have to be the same length but having it close means you won't have to do any math to ensure everything is in the best location for the trailer size and weight. You can use hanger kit # APS4 which...

  • Installing Leaf Springs on Single Axle Trailer
For a single axle trailer, you want the shackle strap to be able to move so that you have the spring deflection needed for your suspension. Angled like the photo or even almost vertical is fine you just don't want the shackle strap to bind and have issue as you go over bumps. If it is completely vertical or angled back toward the axle, then your leaf spring is not long enough and your suspension components will not move as intended giving you a rough ride at best and at worst failure...

  • Building a Complete Trailer Axle with Wheels that Have a 5 on 5 Bolt Pattern
We have what you need here! To start with your axle, we have two choices depending on the length of axle you need. If you need a length of 89", then you can use the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with EZ-Lube Spindles - 89" Long, part # T3584F-EZ-8974. This is an EZ-Lube axle with a capacity of 3500 pounds. If you need a length of 95", then use part # 7359765. I've linked to videos of both of these. Both of these will work with the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 3,500-lb E-Z Lube, part # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K....

It is possible to replace your 62" long axle with a longer one. Our next size up is going to be a 72" long 2K rated axle like part # e32GR. The axle being 72" across measured from hub-face to hub-face. This axle comes with 5 on 4-1/2" idler hubs, which will allow for a ton of tire/wheel combos. Adding suspension to your trailer is definitely beneficial as it helps to reduce stress on the frame. The most common type of suspension system for a trailer is one that uses leaf springs. To install this you would need a hanger kit like part # APS4 and then leaf springs like part # e84SR which are used if you have an axle diameter of 1-3/4". We also carry the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension Systems like part # A12RS440 which includes hubs that have a 4 on 4" bolt pattern. I like...

For the weight of your 2002 Coleman Santa Fe you will need a 2,500lb double eye leaf spring if you are converting to double eye springs versus slipper springs. However, I can tell you how far apart they must be installed but only if you use a kit we offer, the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit part # APS4 with the Double-Eye Spring part # e57SR. • Typical Trailer Suspension Hanger Spacing Relative to Leaf Spring Size
On single axle trailers typically you put the hanger spacing right at 1/4 of an inch shorter than the leaf spring length from eye to eye center. So if you were using the leaf spring part # e54SR that you referenced which measures 25-1/8 inches long from eye to eye unloaded the hanger spacing you'd want to use would be 24-7/8 inches. The hanger kit for this leaf spring typically is the part # APS4.

  • How to Choose the Best Tires, Wheels and Axle for a Homemade Jet Ski Trailer
Finding the ideal tires, wheels and axles for your trailer will depend heavily on the overall weight of the trailer. For example, a jet-ski can weigh as little as 400-500 lbs on the light end and around 1,000 lbs on the heavy end. You must also consider the weight of the trailer itself sitting on the axles. Also, keep in mind that if the axle is positioned properly, the tongue of the trailer should hold about 10 percent of the total weight. For example, let's assume that your jet-skis...

To jump up to a 3,500 lb axle would require more info from you. I'd need spring seat center to spring seat center plus hub face to hub face off your old axles. You have slipper springs which we can help with that as well. How long are the springs you have now?

  • Correct Replacement Leaf Spring For A Single Axle Trailer With 26" Hanger Spacing
Our general rule of thumb is that the hanger spacing should be 1/4" -1/2" less than the length of the leaf spring. There is a small amount of tolerance,(1/2" or less) but not much. I do not recommend using a 25-1/4" long leaf spring with a 26" hanger spacing. We have a leaf spring # e97SR which is 27" long. This will be your best bet for a 3.5K double eye spring.

  • Boat Trailer Suspension is Making a Loud Popping Noise
If your boat trailer is making a continuous popping noise that seems to be coming from the suspension then it really could be anything involved in your suspension. The best way to find out what is the culprit is to simply do an inspection of your trailer suspension. Parts could be binding or they could be old or worn and in need of replacement. If everything seems to be in good working order it may be worth jacking your trailer up and taking the suspension apart so that you can check...
