Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

These wheels are fantastic on my 1962 Fairlane Mayberry car! The price, the finish, the ability to fit a small 9" factory hubcap ... no reason to even look at old, rusted-up steel wheels. Always buy new, quality lugnuts (like Dorman) and remember that these wheels will be lugcentric when you put them on, so install them safely and carefully.

YeP, etrailer has been very helpful in providing the parts I needed for the maintenance of 4 of my old trailers. This 21' equipment hauler was a complete restoraton. Even if they couldn't provide the parts I needed they provided guidance, suggestions, and good OEM contact information. Tanks to George and Daniel.

I needed new steel wheels for my 1964 Ford Country Squire wagon, I found exactly what I needed from trailer.com. The wheels are of good quality and come powder coated gloss black, they fit as expected! Thanks etrailer.com

by:

This wheel was great. Love the finish, bolt pattern and fitment with the tire was as expected. I really appreciate the information on etrailer's website, which made it easier to figure out what I needed and buy it.

Only complaint is the packaging, which was basically a slim box and some paper. Our wheel got scuffed up during shipment because it broke through the box in one place.

by:

Trailer wheels worked great and matched the existing wheels.

by:

The wheel didnt fit and now they charge you a restocking fee and shipping charges that you only get a half a refund totoal bull**** cmpany .Do not do buisness with..

by:

etrailer was able to ship me a new replacement wheel and baby moon hubcaps in four days after experiencing a flat between Miami and Fort Meyers on the Alligator Alley 1600 miles from home! Since I had to drive a mile and a half on the rim to find a safe place to change the flat I decided to replace the wheel . I’ve had two of these wheels on my trailer for over 18,000 miles with no complaints. Thanks George and etrailer for the fast response.

by:

I received help from etrailer on making the correct choice of wheels for my vintage trailer. I did paint them white. I also bought the Baby Moon Caps. I am very happy with them.

by:

Great looking rim accompanied by baby moon hub caps. Used for a teardrop camper.

by:

They are great wheels. Work great on my 64-1/2 Mustang with 215 R15 60 tires while I waiting on the permanent wheels.

by:

It’s perfect ! I’ve been looking for a rim for my trailer that matches the two wheels I have .
15 inch 5 lug on a 4 1/2” bolt pattern . Thanks !

by:

Added new painted rims and tires with moon caps. Fast and accurate delivery

by:

We purchased a 1962 Shasta camper that came with a standard rim spare tire. We wanted to mount on back bumper and have matching rim/baby moon as the camper. We took the spare tire, new wheel and a set of porta-walls to our local tire shop and now have a great looking spare tire on the back of our camper!

by:

Everything work beautiful.

by:

Great wheels, high quality and made in the USA. Looks awesome on my utility trailer.

by:

The rims have performed wonderfully, no rust and looking good.

I see these steel wheels every day on my ranch trailers. Working Great. Thy DONT Wobble Because they are made by American Workers with skill. Its not CHINA JUNK. Thanks Etrailer. Just placed another order from Etrailer. HA. Stay with us Etrailer. Dont move. HA.

by:

Wheels arrived yesterday well packaged. Very nice powder coating. High quality wheel.
I didn’t calculate the offset correctly. Will need 1/4” spacers for the 225/70/15 trailer tires. That will work as the lugs are long.
Thanks for the nice customer service and follow up, Mike.
Good customer service is definitely lacking nowadays so it is appreciated and a professional plus.

I wanted to replace my factory-installed travel trailer wheels and tires from 14.5" to 15" diameter, plus improve the wear resistance to a Load D rating. We still wanted to maintain the Retro look of our trailer, so we opted for the wheels that supported the original shiny half-moon hubcaps. After receiving all the parts (one damaged hubcap was quickly replaced; I recommend shipping them in a different box than the heavy wheels), I spray-painted the wheels a bright red, to support the original color scheme, then had them mounted and balanced by the local tire shop. I then installed them; they look great!
Paula was a terrific help with the order processing; made it all go quite seamlessly!

by:

This is our repurposed 1959 travel trailer bar. We wanted to keep as much vintage charm as possible in her revocation. These brand new tires, wheels, and baby moon caps really brought the look together! Great products! Great prices! Great customer service! I will highly recommend you guys, and will do business in the future with this company!

Thank you very much!!

by:

After we purchased the wheels and Baby Moon hub caps from you, we took our vintage camper trailer on an eight thousand mile tour of the Southwest. The products performed without any problem and are ready to go again.
Thank you, also for the personal attention you folks gave us at the time of purchase to ensure that we received the correct product the first time.
