Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.
- If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
- If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
- If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
- If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Very happy with the quality, much better than the galvanized wheels that came with the trailer. The trailer is aluminum, now the wheels are also. Important for the boat trailer that will see salt water at times.

From the initial click online to receiving my wheels at my front door, etrailer.com has provided me excellence in customer service, timely delivery, and perfectly a packaged product. The wheels are on a trailer that I pull behind a 2012 Honda Gold Wing with a Motor Trike Kit on the front end. We're headed for Denver, CO in a couple of weeks so when I dig the trailer out of my garage, I'll snap a few Pic and email them to you. Wheels arrived with all 5 of them damaged. Hundreds of spots scratches, dings and scraped off paint. This would have been 100% preventable had they been packaged better. They were shipped in two boxes. 3 in one box, 2 in another. Second ups guy grabbed box to take off truck you could hear them clanking around from poor packaging. I opened the boxes to find a very disappointing site. Could not believe how there was practically nothing used to protect each wheel. They should be completely wrapped in bubble wrap. Instead, a piece of thin brown paper tossed in there. They also use a carboard retainer stapled in. They break right off then the ridgid staples that stick thru do even more damage to the wheels. Two wheels at least had a plastic bag over them but still nowhere near enough to prevent damage. After reading reviews I see this is a common theme. Many others report same problems. Clearly nothing has been done to improve the packaging process yet. This is a problem. Especially when this is a core part of your business. It is not like etrailer is new to this and made a 1 time mistake. When you have others reporting issues over months and years of same shipping damage and you do nothing to resolve this to prevent the damage from ever happening then this is very concerning. I have little faith a replacement order will be packaged well enough to arrive in good shape. This is 100% on etrailer and not the shippers fault. You have to protect each wheel much better then you currently do for shipment. Extra pieces of cardboard on each side of the box. Bubble wrap around each wheel. Styrofoam. Etc. This is completely unacceptable. Revise your process asap! Attached are photos that represent a small sample of the damage.

Both the tires and wheels arrived on time and were securely packaged. I'm very pleased with the whole purchasing process. Rated this high because the product itself deserves it. It's finished on the outside and inside. The polished and painted parts all look great. When you order, if possible, make a notation for packaging. Both of mine arrived damaged. They were side by side in one box. One had a plastic bag around it, the other had nothing. Both faces of the wheels had scratches around the bead and on one the bead had a shallow dent roughly 1 1/2 inches wide. Not anything that would keep the tire from sealing. I did not say anything to customer service due to circumstances involved.

Funny I got this review today. This Monday, two days ago I had a rim failure. The steel inserts loosened from the rim causing me to loose the rim. Luckily not much damage. In any case I will be switching back to steel rims as soon as possible.
