Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Very happy with these tires and service! Straightforward ordering and delivery. George from etrailer reached out to me following a glitch in the payment process that happened because I had changed the address on my credit card as I was moving overseas. I was also dealing with a very tight time constraint, but the tires were perfect and arrived on schedule. Installation was no problem, and I had a smooth 730 mile journey from Chicago to Baltimore to deliver the boat and trailer for shipping. And now the boat, and the tires, are here with me in New Zealand :).
Just what I needed! These wheels and tires are for an old Sea Lion trailer that holds an old Rhodes 19 sailboat. I will not have time to restore the boat this year - too many other boats for customers - but it will be ready for next Spring. I will sail the vessel on Lake Champlain and will haul it up there on these new tires. As I fully prepare the trailer, I will be getting more bits and pieces from etrailer - including a spare wheel and tire and mount.
I have used etrailer for many years. I own 5 trailers myself - and occasionally restore or improve my customer's trailers. Also, I purchased my trailer hitch for my 2018 Forester from etrailer. I have always been perfectly pleased with the service and products.
Ordered brand new tires wheels and one doesnt hold air leaking around valve stem. So now i have a customer to pick up their jetski to put away and i have to tell him the new tires i got for him leak!!!! Un real why arent these checked before ship?

Still look great with no sign of wear
Items came sooner than estimated, very well boxed! Both wheels and tires look great, looking forward to getting them put on my log splitter!
The wheel and rim look very good. The rim was over sprayed and had drips which is the only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 stars. Other than that, issue it looks very good.
Switched from a 5.7-8 to a 5.3-12, and I was worried about clearance, but I still have +/- 2 inches under the fender. I also like the profile of the bigger tire for the trailer. I always love etrailer! Quality parts and quality service everytime!
Always a treat to open the box that new tires and wheels come in from etrailer. The galvanized rims were so shiny and bright they'd look great just hanging on a wall. Never had any issues with wheels and tires from this seller. I will be back again soon as I just purchased another used boat trailer with 8" wheels, (I prefer 12" wheels and tires for the smoother ride).

One year later and the wheels and tires are still working perfectly. No leaks, no flats, no wobbles.
Very nice upgrade from the 4.80 tires I had on the boat trailer. Fit my fenders nicely. Heavy duty set.
Excellent quality, fast shipping. I am restoring a 1992 Jayco popup and I bought, wheels and tires, trailer hitch and a 4-way flat to 6 square wiring adapter for the camper. Great experience...I plan to buy from etrailer again.
Customer service does exist on the Internet! Etrailer delivers at a level of service that I did not think existed on the Internet. The team at etrailer rushed my tires out and saved our Memorial Day camping trip. I got follow ups every step of the way, and a very prompt response when I expressed the urgency of my order. The tires are great, and the proper rating for my trailer (they are nearly impossible to find at the big chain stores). After hearing about the site on several forums I decided to give them a chance and will never buy my trailer products anywhere else again!
The product looks good in the pictures. The tires were just as expected. The set was delivered with equal tires pressure. The wheels are another story. The wheels are muddled and appear to be very poor casting with lots of slags. The bolt holes were heavily burred and lacking a clean machining as well. One tire was mounted with the stripes outward and the other with stripes inward. I am hoping this is just cosmetic, however, I prefer my camper to look nice and the same on both sides. The set will complete a 600-mile trip soon. I hope they perform better than they look.
Picked up 2 spare tires for this trailer from etrailer.com on the way to Phoenix, AZ. There are 2 spares on the trailer and a special paint job. Harbor freight trailer with 8 inch tires. 2011 Smart 4 2.

Of course when In built this splitter 25 years ago, I just modified some wheels to fit it by using washers and filing out the lug holes.....NOW, it's done right !

Couldn't find the size of tire I needed on the island. For a little bit more I figured I get the tires and rims together. Took a few minutes to pop on. Ready to go fishing!
I wanted a spare tire for my boat trailer. This model is better than the originals. And cost is the same as getting just a new tire at the local tire shop. The designation 4 on 4 means 4 bolt holes on a 4in diameter circle. Measure across the hub from one bolt hole to the opposite side hole.
This is my forth time that I have purchased tires and wheels, except I usually buy the white painted ones. These galvanized junk rims look horrible! I am almost afraid to use them. This is my mistake by trying to save a few bucks! Should have a better description on how poor the quality is. Very disappointed!!
