Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

The ordering process, packaging, and delivery were great. In all honesty it’s hard to get over the extremely poor galvanizing on these rims. I read the other reviews mentioning the same but chose to cross my fingers and try them. I know these are for a boat trailer, but geez. I don’t like the maintenance of aluminum wheels in salt water and wanted hot dipped galvanized wheels. I wish there was a choice of a better quality wheel, it would be worth it. My biggest miff would be that there is no quality oversight or they just don’t care. I still need to order a spare, but I am now rethinking that. My old rims may been just fine after all….
Second tire/wheel combo from etrailer! First spare became replacement for a major blowout rolling down I95 NY to Florida. South Carolina I95 so bad, parts are coming off semi trucks. Missed with my truck, but cut tire down to wheel on tread and both side walls. Having the first etrailer spare ready was super! I did try to find the Karrier tire locally, but ended up back at etrailer. Fast delivery, great price and now with a new spare! Great job you guys.

I needed tires so I went with these. Galvanized wheels are durable, carefree, and look good, especially with the etrailer chrome lug nuts that I added. Mounting took a bit more to snug than I expected. Towing with new radial tires is a double, maybe triple wow. Really smooth ride and towing seemed effortless. I averaged a wee bit more than a 3 mile per gallon mileage increase towing empty and about half that towing with a load. Makes you wonder why I put off getting new tires. etrailer made this easy and the support helped me resolve my concerns about keeping the bias ply spare. All in all, a great transaction, a great product, and an easy ordering process. Could not have got them any faster if I purchased them locally. You can tell that I'm happy..
This tire is excellent. I purchased a continental trailer brand new and had a blow-out on a Kendall tire. This one replaced it and matches well. The PSI on this tire is a little higher, but the tread and size are a good match. Saltwater use trailer that gets used multiple times a month and a year later, the wheel is in good shape.

I finally got the new trailer tires installed. The etrailer sizing chart helped out to be a great tool. I wasn't to sure what to order at first but after carefully measuring the stud distance I completed the tire order. I am ready to take the boat out as soon as the weather calms down here in Boca Raton, FL.

The packaging and shipping time was great. However, the wheels look like they had started to rust and then painted over. I didn’t expect the wheels to appear to have rust before they were removed from the boxes.

Thank you for your review! If you are concerned about the wheel rusting, I just wanted to share a link to an article with tips and tricks to prevent rust. And I also wanted to note that the galvanized finish can have a rough or uneven texture to it which may explain the texture you are seeing. I hope this helps!

I did an axle over/under conversion and added these new wheels and tires. The galvanizing isn't the prettiest, but they look fine. They have performed well. With about 4500 miles on them, they still look good and perform perfectly.
Wheels made a nice improvement. They are hot dipped, not a polished wheel. Used on Tahoe single axle boat trailer rated at 3400LB.
I ordered two then came back for a rim/tire spare. This one has one area about the size of my thumb that seems slightly bent on the lip. The tire still holds air. Don't know if it shipped that way or FedEx was involved. But overall this rim/tire package is a good deal.

Problems:
---One of the rims was bent when I got it. I believe it was a manufacturing defect. The good news is that the return and exchange with etrailer was very easy. Unfortunately the replacement wheel/tire they sent me was bent as well. So they processed a 2nd return for me and sent me a replacement.
I think the quality control on the 'stamping' or fabricating of the wheels is lacking. So I would ask that customers check the wheels on receiving them.

almost 3 years later and no problems at all with these tires and wheels
Great wheel and tire. Tows good and has lasted me a while on a boat trailer mainly being used in saltwater. Will buy the same set again when it’s time to replace.
I bought a Loadstar 205/75R14 Radial tire/galvanized wheel assembly along with a U-Bolt type attachment as a spare for my aluminum trailer. I've had good luck with the quality of etrailer items so far and didn't want a cheaper spare tire from an unknown/fake lable manufacturer that you can sometimes get from a certain prime warehouse outfit on the internet. It all seems good but hopefully won't have to find out how good the tire is anytime soon. I do love the photos of the folks at etrailer who process the order as well as the map visual of the shipping progress. This matches my existing trailer perfec tly.
I wanted larger tires and wheels on my UTV Trailer as I felt that the 13" tires that came on the trailer were inadequate. While shopping online I came across the etrailer.com website. I don't use my trailer much as i keep my boat at a local Marina...However; i do use once a year to take my boat with us on vacation.
So after several years of traveling w/ no spare; i decided to get a spare tire. The Tire and Rim showed up today (fully inflated) matches the other tires on the trailer exactly and on time, bolted on the bracket and i'm ready for the road.

I mounted these on a boat trailer for a 17ft center console boat. These tires replaced the 175/80/14 bias tires that had started to dry-rot. I’ve towed the boat a couple times now and the larger tires seem to be smoother on rough roads, potholes ect. Kenda seems to have a good reputation, time will tell about the reliability.

Great tire wheel combo has went from spare to in service. Ordered another recently to go into standby position. As trailer tires for our boat have exploded, went out of round, we have replaced them at etrailer. etrailer has provided many tires and other products for us and all have performed perfectly!
