Bias Tires vs. Radial Tires
Bias ply tires are designed for off-road or agricultural applications. They are built with thick, durable nylon cords that are positioned at a 30- to 45-degree angle to the direction of travel. The layers alternate in a crisscross pattern, making the sidewalls stiffer so that the entire tire is able to flex easily. As a result, the tire provides a smooth ride and improved handling when trailering on uneven surfaces.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

For the price of these new wheels and tires it’s hard to justify pulling a camper to a tire shop and leaving it to get new tires; I ordered a set of four from etrailer and they came in a few days later; I got new tires “and wheels” and didn’t have to take my camper somewhere to get it done; also by doing this I was able to save my best looking tire for a spare and take the three used wheels and tires to scrap for cash! I also saved another used one to use as a spare for my utility trailer.

Finally had an opportunity to use the trailer with the new tires. They performed flawlessly which one would expect after buying new tires. I actually bought a higher rated tire then I needed just for my own reasons, Haven't noticed any ride difference as far as a harder or stiffer ride. Put over 500 miles on 'em the first time out. Very happy with these.

As a follow up tires are still performing great. No issues. We tow a 2900 pound pop up all over the place, Normal run for us would be about 300 miles give or take. Tires and rims have been awesome.

Also need to thank etrailer for a great experience. When my tire arrived, it had been mislabeled at the warehouse and was a different side than what I ordered. The specific tire I needed was hard to find. etrailer.com was the only place I could find it. This is a great tire for my heavy duty application of a Coleman Bayside tent trailer. Etrailer delivered for me over night when I had to use my spare and I still had quite a distance to travel. Since it was late in the day the customer Service Rep Erika made sure the order went to the warehouse and it made it out for overnight delivery.

Etrailer was very fast at shipping tire/rim assembly. These come to you not balanced as expected. Local tire dealer did the balance and I installed. They now have approx. 2k miles with no issuses to date. As soon as possible the RV that these are mounted on will be heading out for a 5-6k road trip and that will be the true test of how they will hold up. I see no issuses with this set so long as I do my part, keep air pressure up, torque lugs at each gas fill and insure bearing are good and lubed.

Product arrived in great shape. Tire and rim look good. Clean no blems. I ordered a 6 ply bias tire and should of ordered a radial to match radials on my two wheeled boat trailer. I would make sure when ordering , I know what is needed. I am going to use the bias tire as a spare. I am going to replace my radial spare (the tire is out of round and cords appears to be broken).
I have not been able to find 6 ply ST 185/80 D or R . Load range D I did at Etrailer
When one of my radials go bad I will buy another 6 ply Bias tire and use the other radial on the trailer as a spare.
