1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee

The tire on this assembly has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Video Transcript for Feature Review Kenda Karrier ST235/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Camo Mod Wheel

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Kenda Karrier ST235/75R15 load range D off-road radial trailer tire, with this 15-inch steel camo mod wheel with a 6 on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is gonna be ideal for trailers off-roading in mud or other uneven terrain, but this can also be used on highways and other paved roads. This special trailer tire, or ST tire, has sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. This is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. Now, as you know, radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway, and this tire is constructed with double steel belts and full nylon ply that combined for superior function and long tire life.

And as you notice, this off-Road Tire has deep, rugged tread that's going to channel water away from the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. So as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST235/75R15. The section width is 9.3 inches. The outer diameter is 29 inches. This is a load range D tire, meaning it has an eight ply rating, and the maximum load is 2,860 pounds at 65 psi.

And this has a speed rating of Q, indicating a maximum speed of 99 miles per hour. Now, this modular steel wheel with this camouflage pattern by Dexstar is sturdy, it's corrosion-resistant. This assembly is gonna be great for boat trailers that maybe have a camouflage design as well. Can be great for hunting trailers. Anything that you're using outdoors that you're looking for that really nice camo design, either to kind of offset your trailer or to match a camo pattern that you have, this is gonna be a great option for you to consider.

This wheel was actually dipped in a camouflage Strata pattern finish over an e-coat primer. Now, you might have noticed this red cap here on the valve stem, and you might be wondering what that red cap means. Well, that indicates that this assembly has been bead balanced. As you might know, balancing beads are a method used to balance tires, and they can be particularly useful for trailer tires, which often don't come pre-balanced. The beads are placed inside the tire during production.

Then as the tire rotates, the beads will distribute themselves to counteract any imbalances, promoting even tire wear and better performance. Now, this wheel is going to have a diameter of 15 inches, measuring bead seat to bead seat, and then six inches wide. The bolt pattern is 6 on 5 1/2 inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes, as we have here, you're simply gonna measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. The capacity of this wheel is 2,860 pounds. The wheel stud size is 1/2 inch by 20. The center cap is sold separately, but you just wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.27 inches if you decide to pick one up. And this tire wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I have a pop-up camper that was converted to a utility trailer. The old rims were very rusty and I only found out when I went to install this new Kenda tire/rim combo that the old rims were bent/warped and difficult to remove from center bore. This new Kenda tire and rim combo makes my trailer look so much better! The rubber on these tires is very grippy, which I really like! My old, dry-rotted tires felt like plastic to the touch with no grip whatsoever. I used the etrailer website to learn how to properly measure the spacing between lugs to ensure I buy the right size. Shipping came super quick and all in one box. Tires were filled to the correct psi. I could not have been happier! I've since replaced the sides of the trailer with pressure treated wood, added 2 strips of 2"x 2"x6', 1/4" thick angle iron to the underside of the 2x8x8 plank flooring and used it to haul loam and crushed rock. All went super smooth and feels great to be able to use my utility trailer again!

As advertised
Received the wheels and
tires for both the boat and new to me 7k trailer replaced the stopped hub on front axle w/ hub purchased through these guys as well as wheels and tires
Drove 2200 miles with ZERO issues

Same with the second trip with the boat zero problems or issues

Purchased 4 of these tires to replace the tires on a used travel trailer. The ones that came on the trailer were newer but were a brand I could not trace the origin of and could find zero manufacturer information. I was preparing for a 1000+ trip and didn't feel comfortable with the tires that came with my new-to-me trailer. After shopping around locally, these tires were less expensive than what I could get a comparable tire for (without rim) mounted at a local chain tire store.

The Kenda Karriers shipped fast from etrailer. They were mounted and inflated perfectly and it took my son and I about 30 minutes total to make the swap.

We made the trip about ~550 miles each way in 90+ heat. I gave the tires little thought other than a check or two during the trip when I thought about it. Zero issues. Very happy with this product and the purchase experience.

The packages arrived before the scheduled delivery. Each tire was in its’ own box undamaged with convenient carrying handles x2. The rims and tires were perfect. Each D rated tire had 65#’s of air in them already. All I had to do was bolt them on. I highly recommend e trailer.

Great fit ,excellent paint on wheels ,tires were nice looking too...thanks

by:

I ordered 5x4 3/4. Please take the time to teach your people in China how to read a tape measure.

by:

I googled search for trainler spare for Coleman 17B RV trailer and etrailer come up with the exact tire / rim that i needed.
Easy order and correct specifications for my Coleman 17B trailer. I received in prompt time with no issues. I matched it with my trailer and it fits perfect.
Thanks,

Service and delivery was very good. Disappointed that the tires were already 1 year and 8 months old. That means I might 3 years use out of the tires. They are for my camper and should be changed out between 4 to 5 years to avoid blowouts. Plus warranty is from the date manufactured. DOT on tires were 3122 and 3322. Was told there was a high turnaround on the tires so I shouldn't worry about getting tires almost 2 years old. Age of tires is important on trailers.

by:

I ordered one of these as a replacement after a blow out, and gave it 3 stars because, I had not had a chance to test it much. It has a been a few months and a few thousand miles, and I like it.

This is the highest load rating I have been able to find a 14 inch tire, and it shows. With one of these on one side, and the best I could find locally on the other, it was clear the other was struggling.

These hold pressure well, and the like to have 70PSI in them. The look like holding up my 18 foot camper (single axle) fully loaded is a what they are made for.

I ordered this tire make a matched pair on the camper.

by:

These tires will be used on a 5X10 Personal Welding Trailer that I use for repairs on my Farm. I also use it for other projects that I have off the property. This requires a durable tire that will stand up to the weight and speed of traveling down the Interstate.
Product was as described, order was quickly processed, shipping was free with order over $100 and the product arrived on the day it was expected!

by:

I bought this tire as a replacement spare to our trailer camper. etrailer had my exact tire when many others did not -and for a reasonable price. I liked all the specs & info provided on their webpage. It helped me know for certain that this tire fits my trailer. I especially liked their guidance on how to determine the bolt pattern - nice! Thanks etrailer.

by:

In May, 3 of the 4 tires blew out on an Interstate trip every 2-3 hours.

When I received the order last August, the tires had a date code of being one year old at that time. The tire manufacturer warrantedthe tires in the end.

by:

Etrailers was a great find for my horse trailer tires. I will be back to purchase my next set when needed. Thanks so much!

by:

Used them on a boat trailer for the first time today and it didn’t last 10 miles and blew one of the tires. The rim was shot as soon as o noticed. Have had them in my trailer stored until now. Maybe had them 2 months. Would not recommend these tires if they are going to blow like this. Glad the pieces of tire also runnier my boats paint! Great time! Thanks for selling trash tire and rim packages! Out $XXX and stranded on the side of the road……..

by:

These tires and wheels will be used on a car dolly towed behind a class C motor home. I have always been satisfied with products from etrailer. I really appreciate the free shipping. Thanks for the rapid service.

by:

Our trailer gets seen by a lot of people. I wanted it to look as sharp as possible. The new tires, wheels, etc. did exactly what we wanted.

by:

Fast service, fast delivery. I went from the standard 8.10 trailer tire to the slightly larger radial on the front last summer. I just replaced the back two with the same radials yesterday. So far I’m very happy with them all

by:

These tires and wheels worked great! They came in quickly and in great shape. They were exactly what they said they would be and fit prefect. My son had a blow out on his boat trailer and was off at college and I wasn't close enough to shop around, so I took a chance and order on-line and was very pleased with them. Highly recommend.

by:

I’ve had great experiences in the past but this time wasn’t the case. I ordered these tires for my raft trailer. I ordered these on Sunday evening because they would arrive on Wednesday as I was leaving on a week long vacation on Friday. Well the tires didn’t show till Friday and then they weren’t the right size!! Very disappointed. I called customer service to explain my concern and was not impressed. Customer service is not what it once was. Yes I was offered to make the order correct but after this huge inconvenience and having to buy an additional set of tires from a local shop I’m stuck with two sets of tires and a feeling like I am just another victim of a crappy online shopping experience.

by:

This was a great wheel and tire deal. I needed to replace two boat trailer tires, along with the spare. I got new wheels along with new tires for the same amount I would have paid for just tires locally. Have been using the boat and trailer all summer with no issues. Also delivery time was fast. I have ordered from etrailer before and it is always a good experience !

by:

I purchased freeway speed rated tires plus a wheel and tire combo for a spare, one year ago for an upgrade to my boat trailer. I trailer 100 miles each way and have made that trip a lot with the new tires. They have been flawless and met my expectations perfectly. I have come to expect this type of result from Etrailer.com and their online recommendations. Thank you Etrailer for being a trusted source to me.

by:

Arrived timely and is just the size I need. I like the convenience and the price.

You can't really rate it until a year or two out and a few thousand miles.

Camper tires are fickle, especially the 14 inch ones. I can't find anyone that makes a load range E in this size. This is my first of this brand, if it holds up well I will buy more.

The stock tires, lasted a year or two and few thousand miles. About the same for the next set of replacements. The third set was doing good until a blow out, that this Karrier is replacing.

by:

Great tires for my 19’ Tahoe , I installed these tires when I picked up my boat in Gettysburg Pa and trailered it all the way to South Jersey without any issues . I used the trailer every other weekend to the Jersey shore and at this time have been great !! The one thing I do is remove the new tires during winter storage and place the old rims and tires on the trailer for storage in the winter weather to help with the life of these new ones !

by:

Had to replace a blow out on my trailer. Fast delivery! Tire as described. This is my second trailer tire purchase and they work great.

by:

Bought these to replace the small 5.30-12 tires that were on a small pop up camper I bought. Flipped the axle and added these for extra height. They arrived very quickly. I was shocked at how fast i received these wheels….roughly 48 hours after Purchase. The price and quality is unbeatable. Super happy with how everything turned out. Thanks etrailer!
