This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a Load Range E, and it's mounted on this 16-inch matte black aluminum wheel with the 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire-and-wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and even campers. The wheel is a Sendel Series T17 aluminum wheel, which is a mesh style design wheel that has a nice matte black finish to it. Also the front, and if we spin it around to the back, you can see the wheel is all clear coated for protection. Now if you do notice, the wheel does not come with a center cap.
If you do want one, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that will fit this diameter of this pilot hole right here 'cause when you install your center cap, it will go through this hole, and the diameter on this pilot hole is 4.9 inches. The wheel dimension is 16-inch diameter. The width on just the wheel is 7 inches wide. Bolt pattern on this wheel is an 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern.
And if you wanna measure that, it's pretty easy on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, in this case, eight, because the lug holes, you can see, are directly across from each other. So when you measure it, just pick any hole, let's say this one, and then measure across from this hole directly across to this hole, center to center. And on this, it'll measure 6-1/2 inches. So this is an 8 lug, 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern. This will use a wheel lug size of either 1/2 inch by 20 or 9/16 by 18.
And the weight capacity on this wheel is 4,400 pounds. The tire we have mentioned is a Kenda Karrier special trailer radial tire. That special trailer design will help couple the strength of a bias tire with the durability and stability of a radial tire. And it is created specific for trailers. It's not intended for use on any other vehicles.
The belts on these, they are a steel belt that'll enhance durability and extend tread life. And if you notice the tread design, these are a computer-generated tread design, and they use a premium rubber compound material. They'll give you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. Now the tire size will be stamped on the sidewall. If you look right here down by the rim, it'll say ST, for special trailer, 235/80R16. The R means it's a radial tire. Section width on this is 9.3 inches. Overall diameter is 30.8 inches. And this tire is a Load Range E, which means it's a 10-ply rated tire. Maximum load capacity is 3,500 pounds at 90 psi. And the last thing I wanna mention is now the new trailer tire or the trailer tires are coming through with a speed rating stamped on them, and it's stamped on the sidewall with a letter designation. And where it's at is if you look right where the tire sizes we went over, right after, you'll see two numbers for the load index and then the letter M. Speed rating M will mean this has an 81 mile per hour speed rating. And this assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. But that's gonna do it for the review on the Kenda Karrier ST235/80R16 radial trailer tire in a Load Range E mounted on this 16-inch matte black aluminum wheel.
