This wheel comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at the Lionshead 14 inch by 5 inch gunmetal gray Osprey aluminum trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this is an aluminum wheel. It's durable, lightweight and rust proof. And we mentioned it is an Osprey series design, which is a split five spoke with a gunmetal gray finish, and then if you notice, they have a machine finish on the edge of the spokes and even on the outer lip of the wheel.
Gives a nice shine to the wheel. A few dimensions on this we're gonna measure is the diameter, which is always measured inside the inside. You can see if we put the tape measure on that, there's your 14 inch diameter. The width on this, same way, will be inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your five inch width, and the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
And if you wanna measure the bolt pattern on the wheel that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five, what you wanna do is pick any one of the holes. So let's say we pick this hole right here and you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes, but when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whatever hole you measure to. So on this one, it'll measure 4 1/2 inches. So that means this wheel has a 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20.
Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,200 pounds. Now if you notice, this wheel does not have a center cap in it. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna get one that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole 'cause when you install it, it'll install through this hole. The diameter of the pilot hole here is 3.19 inches.
They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front to help protect from scuffs and scratches. Now, one of the nice features I like on this wheel is they use these steel inserts in the lug nut wells, and these are designed to help keep your wheel securely in place on the trailer hub. So basically, when you put this up on the hub over the studs, put your lugs on there, torque it down, these inserts will help prevent the holes from elongating and wearing down so it eliminates the need for constant retightening of your lug nuts. If you notice, they do install a valve stem that is included. Now this wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications and the SAE J 1204 standards. They do offer a complimentary roadside assistance for two years and they offer flat tire service, which is available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada or Puerto Rico. But that should do it for the look at this Lionshead 14 inch by 5 inch gunmetal gray Osprey aluminum trailer wheel, with the 5 on 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
