This wheel comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Lionshead 16 inch by 6 inch Margay glossy black aluminum trailer wheel with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof. And we mentioned it is a Margay series wheel, which is an eight spoke design. You can see here has a nice glossy black finish to it.
And then if you look at the edge of the spokes and then on the lip, they do use a machine face on there to give it a nice bright finish to it. They use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front to protect from scuffs and scratches. One of the nice features I like on this wheel is they do use steel inserts right here in the lug nut wells. This is designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Basically, when you go to install this on your trailer, you'll put this up on the studs and then when you put your lug nuts in there and tighten them down, it'll prevent those holes from elongating, eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts.
This does offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years. Also, flat tire service is available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Right down here you can see they do include a metal valve stem installed in the wheel. Now the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on the website.
You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter of this pilot hole. 'Cause when you install your center cap, it will install from the back here through the hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 4.9 inches. This wheel does meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications and the SAE J1204 standards. A few dimensions on this, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width.
And the diameter will always be measured inside to inside. So if we take a tape measure (tape measure clicking) and you can see if we go across inside to inside's right at 16 inches for the diameter. The width on this wheel, same way, we're gonna measure inside the inside or bead seat to bead seat. Six inches wide. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure the bolt pattern on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, like in this case, eight it's pretty simple because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other. So when you go to measure it, all you have to do is pick any hole, let's say this one, and then measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this wheel it'll measure six and a half inches. So that means this is an eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern. The wheel lug size used on this wheel is a 1/2 inch by 20 or 9/16 by 18. And the last thing is the capacity on this wheel. The weight capacity is 4,080 pounds. But that's gonna do it for the review on the Lionshead 16 inch by 6 inch Margay glossy black aluminum trailer wheel with the eight on six and a half inch bolt pattern.
