Corrosion-Resistant Finish
The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.
The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, And today we're gonna take a look at this Task Master 12 inch by four inch white steel eight spoke trailer wheel with five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. This steel wheel with eight spoke design is sturdy and corrosion resistant. This wheel features a three step finishing process that includes a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion, e-coated primer, and a white powder coat on the outside. Now on the inside, which we just took a glance at, it is lightly e-coated to reduce friction and provide rust resistance with less flaking. Now this has improved torque retention technology, also known as ITR.
That helps keep the wheels securely in place on your trailer. Uncoated stud holes are beveled to offer better clamp force retention. As you can see here, the valve stem is included, and this wheel meets SAEJ1204 standards. And the rim dimensions from bead seat to bead seat is 12 inches in diameter. And the width of this rim from bead seat to bead seat is four inches wide.
And again, this bolt pattern is five on four and a half inches. The first number is, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and then that second number denotes the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, you just measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point in between, halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. So measuring from here to the center of this bolt hole to directly in in between these two bolt holes, across from that first one. We are going to get that measurement of four and a half inches.
The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20. And this has the capacity of 1,250 pounds. And the center cap is sold separately. If you pick one up, just make sure it fits the pilot diameter of 2.95 inches. And the, this has a zero offset.
Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
