Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance

This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.

Corrosion-Resistant Finish

The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.

Improved Torque Retention Technology

Beveled Stud Holes Front and Back

The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.

Provider Radials with Automotive-Grade Tread

Provider Tread Vs Standard Tread

Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.

Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.

Radial Tires vs. Bias Tires

Radial tire vs bias tire graphic

Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.

Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Great tire at a fair price. A nice upgrade to the stock tires that came with my 2011 Coleman pop-up camper. Finish on the wheels is attractive and looks very durable. Shipping was as expected and on time. All good with this purchase, so buy with confidence.

Wheels not painted on back side. I wanted white wheels. Paint chipped on front side where axle hole is I guess from mounting tire. Not the quality I have received in the past.

Comments
I am sorry to hear that the paint was chipped on the wheel. I will have our customer service team reach out to you. The inner side of the wheels are lightly e-coated to reduce friction and provide rust resistance with less flaking.

Ordered radials to replace puncture prone bias ply tires after a recent flat - again. Tires arrived 2 days after ordering. Packaged well, no damaged, mounted and inflated. The tread looks like car tires and they fill up the fender well. I have a set of Providers on my travel trailer and they have performed well, hoping these will too. I only gave 4 stars because I have no basis to rate their performance but will check back later and share an update.

Rep on phone was great. Resolved a minor problem I had with the original order. Delivery came on time and tires are clean and mounted - ready to go!

by:

Great service from the customer service reps.
Tire and wheel is my secondary back-up for a long trip to Alaska.
Great price

by:

Great tire & wheel. Exactly as advertised. Gets the job done.

by:

We are preparing a long trip with our boat and decided to upgrade our bias tires to radial. We plan to keep our old tires as spares. Our new tires arrived quick and went on easy! Thank you eTrailer!

by:

I replaced the wheels/tires that came on my TSC trailer because they were so far out of round you couldn't stand to pull the trailer other than very short trips. I put these on the trailer and it was actually enjoyable to pull. The main demand for this was my wife pulled this trailer behind her Nissan Cube from Ohio to Southern California and back while I got to ride my motorcycle. ;o) Good times. Thanks for the great wheels/tires.

by:

Very happy with the delivery of trailer wheels and tires from etrailer.com so I could zoom off camping and not worry if the old tires would hold up. One old wheel went as a spare.

by:

NIce wheels and tires, fit perfect

by:

Super fast shipping! Website was spot on with sizing charts and all related information, have already ordered more from you folks, will be my new go-to site for trailer.

by:

Delivered to my front door within a few days. Product was exactly as advertised, pleasure doing business with a great company!

by:

The tires showed up on time and where exactly what I needed. I did talk to one of the girls there before I placed my order to let her know what the plans where going to be for my trailer, and she did know about the tires.
And they shipped them out the same day, I did call early in the morning. And got the shipping info the same day in an email.
Now I get to start on building my trailer.
I would recommend them to anyone for the good customer service that they showed me.

by:

Received as described, changed from 8 inch to 13 inch. Have not put on road but looks like it will work for my needs.

All still holding up and doing the job was purchased for. Great products at a fair price. Do take care and continue the great service, Roy.

These tires are a replacement of 12" tires I had. The old 12" tires always had significant wear each season. One reason for the wear on the old tires was the trailer weight was the max the tires could handle. These tires have have significantly more load capacity and wear much less. After a year, they still look new. I cover my tires, so I really can't comment on the resistance to sun exposure, or checking. They still look great. Also, they are speed rated for 81 mph, which is great. Very happy.

by:

Just what I ordered. Arrived in just a few days

by:

Of course, leaving everything to the last minute I ordered these wheels and tires, that were desperately needed, a week before our road trip;-0 They arrived in four days and were already on the trailer ready to go that evening! Best parts were 5 day shipping was free, the cost of wheels and tires was cheaper than having new tires mounted on the existing wheels, plus, they came mounted and inflated, ready to go! I'll be shopping everything trailer at etrailer.com from now on! Now, I just need to repaint my trailer to match the white of the new rims?? THANK ETRAILER!!!

by:

Very quick service and delivery

by:

The wheels and tires came as ordered, bought them for a Teardrop trailer on a tortional axle. Fair price for what you get, I like the Radial tire because I've had the Bias Belted tires that bounce for a few blocks if they sit for a few weeks.

Only have a small utility flatbed trailer on the road, wheels and tires do what there supposed to, roll.

Love these tires and rims. Really made my trailer look and ride great. You will not beat this deal anywhere. Thanks for the best discount I could find.

Comments
I still have not installed these tires and rims. I have them stored in my shop till I get ready to install.
Gary R - 07/20/2017

by:

The wheels and tires arrived in good condition. Installation was easy. Description of the tires on the website is accurate. Good price, good shipping speed. A happy camper (literally).

Comments
While they are still in use, they lose pressure too quickly in my opinion. Before each camping trip I need to add pressure to the tires because they may be 10lbs low - this is after maybe 45 days of sitting. I would look into a different brand next time.

Hello, I just want to share my opinion about the things that lately i bought from etrailer.com Recently I bought a fiberglass boat. There was a missing spare tire for the trailer. I decided to buy one, I know the etrailer.com from my previous purchases so i ordered one from them. Right after i opened the box wit the spare tire that I ordered and I saw my new tire shinny black, properly inflated on the beautiful white rim I was so impressed of it. I decided to order another one and make them as a main tires that match to my white fiberglass boat. Looks awesome. I can recommend that product to everybody.

I ordered my trailer tires & wheels from this company while looking on line, the site seemed to just pop up. And i'm so glad it did. cause the price was really great. After I ordered I was worried when they got here, the wheels would be all scratched up, not one. I will order from etrailer for all my trailer needs and more. and I got my order in only 4 days, If you want a great product, at a great price, just tap in to etrailer

by:

These wheels & tires look much better than the ones that was on my utility trailer. The wheels I took off had rust spots on them & the tires were dry cracked. Ordered some Tire Saver wheel covers from etrailer to go with wheels & tires to protect them from the elements. Pricing & shipping was excellent. Will order from etrailer again. Another reason I bought new wheels & tires was because I just painted my trailer, didn't want to put the old wheels with the rust on them back on. Also etrailer had a good selection to choose from.

  • Trailer Tire Sizes and Nitrogen vs. Air for Inflation for Use in Hot Weather Long-Distance Driving
You ask an interesting series of questions! Tire size in and of itself, going from a 12-inch to a 13-inch size, will not have a significant effect on tire temperatures. It is true that a larger diameter tire will make slightly fewer revolutions than a smaller tire in any given distance, but this is pretty much incidental to its operating temperature as compared to other factors. The air we breathe is 78-percent nitrogen; the rest is made up of about 21-percent oxygen, some other trace...

  • Tire Size Recommendations for Trailer Currently Using Passenger Car Tires
Generally speaking, we like to see an absolute minimum of 3 inches of clearance between the top of the tire and the underside of the fender, so when you say that your current tires 'fit pretty tight in the wheel well', it sounds like your tires might be too large in diameter. You'll want to use a trailer tire instead of a passenger car tire, because trailer tires have a thicker sidewall that works better with a vertical load. Your wheel bolt pattern is most likely 5 on 4-1/2 which is...

  • Do Trailer Wheels and Tires Need to be Balanced
Most people do not balance trailer wheels and tires. The reason is that most people don't ever notice a difference after doing so, and because the weights tend to bounce off of trailer wheels since they have such bouncier suspension. However, if you felt the need to balance yours there's no reason you couldn't.

  • Replacement Wheels/Tires for a 2005 Fleetwood Resolute Popup Camper
I have the solution for your wheel and tires on your trailer. For your application, I recommend using a radial tire over the bias ply tire. Radial as designed for the speed and heat generated during highway travel. Radial tires will flex more than a bias tire, giving radials better traction and stability. Radial tires tend to run cooler than bias tires. Heat is then main cause of tire failure on trailer tires. Therefore, the cooler running radial tires will last longer. I recommend the...

The 12 inch tires that we carry are rated for 65 miles per hour. Any faster than that for extended periods and the excessive heat build up will cause tire failure. To get a tire with a higher speed rating you would have to go up in size. That also means you will need different wheels. If your hubs use a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern then tire and wheel combo # TTTWA13RWS is one option. This tire has an M speed rating which means it is rated for 81 miles per hour.
