This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range D, and it's mounted on this 15-inch glossy black Liger Series aluminum wheel with a 5-on-4.5" bolt pattern. Now, this tire wheel assembly's ideal for RVs, campers and trailers. The wheel it's mounted on is an aluminum wheel, which is very durable, lightweight, and rustproof. We mention it's the Liger Series, which is a five-spoke design, has a nice glossy black finish and if you notice on the edge of the spokes, they do use a machine finish to give a nice bright shine to it. They do use an automotive-grade clear coat finish on the front to help protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches.
One of the nice features I like on this wheel is the steel inserts that they put in these lug nut wells to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Basically when you go to install this, you'll put this up on the hub, put it over the wheel studs, put your lug nuts on 'em. When you go to torque the lug nuts down, the steel inserts in there help prevent the holes from elongating or wearing down, eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. The wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is six inches wide.
Bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5-on-4.5" bolt pattern, and if you wanna measure that on an odd number of lugs, what you'll wanna do is pick any one of the holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either this hole or this hole, whichever one. But when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to. So on this, it'll measure four and a half inches. So that means this has a 5-on-4.5" bolt pattern. This will use a wheel lug size of a 0.5" by 20".
Weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,150 pounds. Now, if you notice, the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole, 'cause when you install that center cap, it install through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 3.19 inches.
Now, the tire that's mounted on this wheel is a Westlake radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester plies for a nice long life. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And it is a radial ply tire, so it's great for highway use. Now, this tire is also an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, It has the sturdy sidewall so it can handle heavy loads, and it is created specifically for trailers, it's not intended for use on any other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, so right here you'll see ST, for special trailer, 205/75R15, R means that it's a radial tire. Section width on this is eight inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 27.1 inches. And this tire is a low-range D, which means it's an eight-ply rated tire. It has a maximum load capacity of 2,150 pounds at 65 PSI. This tire and wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. And this tire does come with a speed rating, and where it is, it's stamped on the sidewall, but it is in a letter designation, and where you'll find that is right after the tire size we just went over. There's two numbers for the load index, and then the letter L, speed rating L will mean that this has as a 75 mile-per-hour speed rating. They do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years, and a flat tire service is available 24-7, anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Well, that's gonna do it for the review on this Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range D, mounted on this 15-inch glossy black Liger Series aluminum wheel with the 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern.
