This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Westlake ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range E, mounted on this 15-inch gunmetal gray Osprey series aluminum wheel with the 6 on 5 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. The wheel we mentioned, it is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof.
And we mentioned it's the Osprey series, which is a split six-spoke design, you can see, uses gunmetal gray, and then if you look on the edge of the spokes and even on the outer lip, it has a nice machine finish on there to give it a nice shine. They do use an automotive-grade clear coat, automotive-grade clear coat finish on the front of the wheel to protect the wheel from any scuffs or scratches. Now one of the nice features I like about this wheel is they put steel inserts in the lug nut wells, and that's designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. What's nice about those is when you go ahead and put this wheel up on your hub, put this over the wheel studs, put your lug nut in, torque it down, it'll prevent those holes from elongating or wearing down, and eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. Now the wheel itself, the diameter on just the wheel is 15 inches.
The width on just the wheel's six inches wide. A bolt pattern on this is a 6 on 5 1/2-inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure that on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, in this case six. It's pretty easy because if you look at the lug holes, they're directly across from each other. So all you have to do is pick any one of the holes, let's say this one right here, and then measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it.
So if you measured this one, it'd be 5 1/2 inches. So that means this would be a six-lug, 5 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Wheel lug size it uses is a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,830 pounds. Now if you notice, this wheel does not come with a center cap. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately.
You do wanna make sure to get one that has the same pilot hole or the same diameter as the pilot hole right here. Basically, when you install your center cap, it'll go through the back of the wheel through this hole. So the diameter on this pilot hole is 4.25 inches. Now the tire right here that's on it is a Westlake radial tire. It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester plies for a nice, long life. They do use a nylon tread-firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation, and it is a radial ply tire, so it's great for highway use. This is an ST Tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, has a sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads, and it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended to be used on any other vehicles. The tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, right here ST for Special Trailer, 225/75R15. R means it's a radial. Section width, 8.8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated, it's 28.3. And it is a load range E, which means it's a 10-ply radial tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 2,830 pounds at 80 PSI. This tire wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications, and it does come with the speed rating, and they stamp that on the tire by a letter designation. And where you'll usually find that is right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then the letter L. Speed rating L will mean this is a 75 mile per hour speed rating. Now they do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years, and flat tire service is available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Westlake ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range E, mounted on this 15-inch gunmetal gray Osprey series aluminum wheel with the 6 on 5 1/2-inch bolt pattern.

Heart initially sunk because we are headed to the Black Hills next week. I emailed for status and Tiffani jumped right on it. Got the shipment today and everything looks great! THANK YOU!!
