This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Westlake ST23580R16 load range E radial trailer tire with this 16-inch Eagle aluminium wheel with an 8 on 6.5-inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is going to be great for your RVs, campers, and trailers. This special trailer tire or ST tire has 30 sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. This radial tire is designed for trailers that are towed on the highway and is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester plies for a long life.
The nylon tread firming belt overlays are gonna help prevent tread separation and the tread wear indicator makes it easy to see the tread depth. Now, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST23580R16. The section width of this tire is 9.3 inches and the outer diameter is 30.8 inches. And this is a load range E tire, meaning it has a 10-ply rating. The maximum load of this tire is 3,520 pounds at 80 PSI and this has a speed rating of L, indicating a maximum speed of 75 miles per hour.
Now, this aluminium wheel is durable, it's lightweight, and rustproof. And as you can see here, it does feature this attractive Eagle Series eight spoke design. And this is in glossy black and an automotive grade clear code finish is on the front and that's gonna protect this wheel from scuffs and scratches. This wheel also features steel inserts in the lug nut wells to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub, preventing the holes from wearing down and eliminating the need for the constant retidying of the lug nuts. Now, the measurements or the dimensions of our wheel, taking a look at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat is 16 inches in diameter.
The width of our wheel, again, measuring bead seat to bead seat is seven inches. And this has a bolt pattern of 8 on 6.5 inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. The capacity of this wheel is 4,080 pounds.
The wheel stud size is 1/2 an inch by 20 or 9/16 of an inch by 18. The center cap is sold separately, but if you pick one up, you just wanna be sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.9 inches. Now, this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications, the tire meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications, and the wheel meets SAE J 1204 standards. One final note, this tire and wheel assembly does come with complimentary roadside assistance for two years. So if your RV or trailer has a flat tire, simply call their helpline and a technician will come and change the flat for you. And you can call that line 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere here in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
