Specs:
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
The tire on this assembly has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Westlake ST 235/75R15 load range D off-road radial trailer tire with this 15-inch Eagle aluminum wheel with the six on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is going to be ideal for your RVs, campers, and trailers. This off-road tire is going to be great for off-roading on mud or on other uneven terrain. But this can also be used on highways and other paved roads. This Special Trailer tire, or ST tire, has sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads.
And this is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. Now, this radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester plies for a long life. Nylon and tread firming belt overlays are going to help prevent tread separation. And the tread wear indicator is gonna make it easy to see tread depth. Now, as you can see here, the tread design on this tire uses a deep, open, rugged tread design, which will help channel water away from under the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
And this is also going to give you extra grip in those muddy situations. Now, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST 235/75R15. The section width is 9.3 inches. The outer diameter is 28.9 inches. This is a load range D tire, meaning it has an eight ply rating.
The maximum load is 2,910 pounds at 65 PSI. And this has a speed rating of L, indicating a maximum speed of 75 miles per hour. Now this aluminum wheel is durable, it's lightweight, it's rust-proof, and as you can see here, it does feature this attractive Eagle Series six-spoke design, and it's in this really wonderful matte black finish. It has an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front that's gonna protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. This also features steel inserts in the lug nut wells to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub, preventing those holes from wearing down and eliminating the need for the constant retightening of the lug nuts.
Now, looking at the diameter of this wheel, measuring bead seat to bead seat where the tire actually sits in that wheel, this has a diameter of 15 inches. And then the width of the wheel, again measuring bead seat to bead seat where that wheel in that wheel. Where the tire, rather, sits in that wheel, it's six inches wide. And this has a bolt pattern of six on 5 1/2 inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, and then the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which those bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of one bolt hole to the hole directly across from it. The capacity of this wheel is 2,830 pounds. The wheel stud size is 1/2 an inch by 20. The center cap is sold separately, but if you decide to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits a pilot diameter of 4.25 inches. Now, this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications. The tire meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety standard specifications, and the wheel meets the SAE J1204 Standards. One final note, this tire wheel assembly does come with complementary roadside assistance for two years. So if your RV or trailer has a flat tire, simply call their helpline, and a technician will come and change the flat for you. You can call them 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year here in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
