This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Westlake ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range E, and it's mounted on this 15-inch gunmetal gray Condor aluminum wheel with the six on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for RVs, campers, and trailers. The wheel is an aluminum wheel, it's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof. And we mentioned it's the Condor Series split five-spoke design. You can see it has the split five spokes and it's in a gunmetal gray color.
And if you notice the face of the spokes and the outer lip has a nice machine finish on it to give it a nice shine. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front, protects the wheel from scuffs and scratches. One of the nice features I like on this wheel is they use steel inserts in the lug nut wells right here. And that's designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. Basically when you put this up on your hub, put this over the wheel studs, put your lug nuts on, torque them down, those steel inserts prevent the holes from wearing down, eliminates the need for constant retightening of your lug nuts.
Few dimensions on the wheel. The diameter, 15 inches, the width on just the wheel is six inches wide. Now the wheel does have a bolt pattern of six on 5 1/2 inches. And if you wanna measure that bolt pattern on a wheel, that's an even number of lugs, like in this case six. It's pretty easy because if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other, so it makes it easier to measure.
So you can pick any one of the holes, let's say this hole right here. And then you measure from the center of it directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. So on this one it'll measure 5 1/2 inches, So it means it's a six lug, 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,830 pounds. Now if you notice, this wheel does not have a center cap on it.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole right here. 'Cause when you install your center cap it'll install through the back of the wheel through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 4.25 inches. Now this tire that's mounted on the wheel, it is a Westlake radial tire. So it's constructed with double steel belts, double polyester plies for an nice long life. They use a nylon tread-firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And it is a radial ply tire, so it is great for highway use. It is also stamped as a ST tire, and it stands for Special Trailer tire. So it has sturdy sidewalls, it can handle the heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on any other vehicles. And where your tire size is, it's stamped on the sidewall. Right here you can see ST, like we mentioned for Special Trailer, 225/75R15. R means it's a radial tire. Section width on this, 8.8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 28.3. The tire is a load range E, which means it's a 10-ply rated tire. So it has a maximum load capacity of 2,830 pounds at ADPsi. This assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. And I do wanna mention they do come with a speed rating now and they stamp that on the tire by a letter designation. And where you'll find that is usually right after the size we just went over. After it you'll see two numbers for the load index, and then at the end the speed rating L, that stands for 75 mile per hour speed rating. They do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years and flat tire service is available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. But that's gonna do it for the review on this Westlake ST225/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range E mounted on this 15 inch gunmetal gray Condor aluminum wheel with the six on 5 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
