This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This tire has a 1-year No Excuses Guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way that's not covered by warranty, it will be replaced at no charge. You will also be compensated a flat labor rate for the cost of mounting the replacement tire.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
This radial ply tire from Westlake is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords for increased durability. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation.
The standard tread on this tire has solid, continuous ribs, and there are very few sipes (or thin grooves) cut into the rubber. This tire is designed for use on trailers, so it doesn't require the level of traction that would be needed on a vehicle that is braking or steering.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Westlake ST225/75R15, Load Range E, radial trailer tire with this 15-inch Eagle aluminum wheel with the 6 on 5-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire-and-wheel assembly is gonna be great for RVs and campers and trailers. This is a special trailer tire or ST tire, and it has sturdy sidewalls so they can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. Now this radial tire is designed for trailers that are towed on the highway, and it is constructed of double steel belts and double polyester plies, giving you a long life.
And the nylon tread-firming belt overlays are gonna help prevent tread separation. And the Tread Wear Indicator is gonna make it easy to see the tread depth. Now, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST225/75R15. The section width is 8.8 inches. The outer diameter is 28.3 inches.
And this is a load range E tire, meaning it has a 10-ply rating. And the maximum load is 2,830 pounds at 80 psi. This has a speed rating of L, indicating the maximum speed of 75 miles per hour. And this aluminum wheel is durable, lightweight, and rustproof. It does feature this attractive Eagle Series 6-spoke design in glossy black.
And it has an automotive-grade clear coat finish on the front, and that's gonna protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. The steel inserts in the lug nut wells are gonna help keep this wheel securely in place on your trailer hub, preventing the holes from wearing down and eliminating the need for the constant retightening of the lug nuts. The dimensions of our wheel, looking at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat, is 15 inches. The width of our wheel, again, measuring bead seat to bead seat, is 6 inches. Our bolt pattern is 6 on 5-1/2 inches.
And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes, as we have here, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from it. The capacity of this wheel is 2,830 pounds. The wheel stud size is 1/2 inch by 20. The center cap is sold separately, but if you decide to pick one up, you'll just have to make sure that it fits a pilot diameter of 4.25 inches. Now this tire-and-wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications, the tire meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards specifications, and the wheel meets the SAE J1204 standards. One final note that I wanted to make, this tire-and-wheel assembly does come with complimentary roadside assistance for two years. So if your RV or trailer has a flat tire, simply call their helpline and a technician will come and change the flat for you. You can call that number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year from anywhere here in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
