I put it on my car trailer to hold straps and battery and controls for winch it has worked out great no problems
John G - 11/01/2020I needed a place for my straps and ball mount. This box is perfect if you only use your trailer occasionally. Well made but get a tube of silicone to seal the inside corners (very small holes). The top has a weatherstrip seal. The lock opens and closes as it should. The description says hardware not included but it is,the only thing is the u bolts are made for a small frame trailer tongue. Overall, I am very happy with this box. etrailer had the lowest price and the shipping was very fast.
charles g - 09/03/2019A year later and the box has held up well. It fits my 2010 Rpod nicely. I did spray mine with bed liner to help protect it more. The original coating is okay, not the greatest finish, but did a little customizing so it didn't matter. I also added a couple draw latches since the key lock is hard to get to with the propane tank. So far it has served its purpose and it holds my battery and rest of my hitch equipment well.
Jeff W - 06/25/2019This is a great little trailer tool box, for the money. Most others like it are twice as expensive. The metal is a bit thin, which is fine as long as you treat it nicely. I glued diamond plate to the lid of ours to allow us to set things on it without having to be super gentle. It was the perfect solution for us! The only suggestion I could make to the manufacturers to improve on this design is to add some sort of latch that will keep the toolbox closed without having to lock it. As it is, the lid’s hydraulics open the lid if the lock is not engaged - although, we found that the additional weight of the diamond plate we added fixed that too!

Ralph C - 02/12/2021Works great Modified it and put my wench and battery in side And bolted it to the trailer bed. Had to cut an opening in front for the cable and works perfectly.

Works exactly as advertised. I only had a limited ( small ) space between the propane tank and the trailer and this box fit without an inch to spare. I think this was the only box in this size. The finish turned a bit chalky after a year in the weather but no worries. I wish the key and lock was off to the side or on the top of the box but now I'm being picky on great box with a great price.
Kenny - 05/16/2020Ok for the price, but very thin Metal. If someone stood on it, they would bend it. The size fits the tongue of my Trailer nice. The lock works ok, but you could pry open the lid with a Screwdriver. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for!
Nicely made product, conveniently pre-drilled holes with hardware included. Quick and easy to install, took 5 minutes.
For the amount charged for it, it is very flimsy. If I wanted to break into it I could pry the lid over by hand and break the lock right off. At this point I will rebuild it and spray it with line-x and have learned my lesson.
This was one of the few trailer tool boxes that would fit the location I wanted. It's not the best quality but it works for what I need it for.
Suits its purpose for my needs. The only drawback is the packaging was done poorly. A hole formed on the box due to how the tool box was packaged causing some hardware to be missing (washers). Not a big deal but certainly something to keep in mind.
It's a great box for the price. It did not fit my trailer the way it was intended but a couple of new holes and it was perfect. Looks great on my trailer.
Paul R - 12/12/2017I have looked for a couple of months to find a box that would fit on my gooseneck trailer and I should have looked here first. Good sturdy box, I will find out soon enough if it is rainproof.
Worked as advertised. Easy to mount U-bolts with plates for both sides. Put mine in the trailer as my tongue is not long enough to mount on and not interfere with raising/lowering the trailer to the hitch. Very well made, lots of room, etc...
Has been an AAA addition to our Ranger 12 A Frame camper. As we do all our cooking and eating out side, it stores all our dishes, cook ware and table ware. Had it installed at our garage as the holes did not line up. This was not a big deal and took only minutes. It is a good product And weeks well.
Just what I was looking for, size was key factor. Minor adjustments to install no problem,
Chris - 06/24/2018I had been looking for a tool box for my trailer for several months. I had even purchased two and returned them because they just did not fit my need. I finally found this box from etrailer and it fit my needs perfectly. I wanted a box big enough to carry a small Jack, lug wrench, tie downs, rope and some misc. tools. This box is the perfect size and weight. It seals well from weather and fit my trailer perfectly. With the pre drilled amounting holes and included hardware it took me less than 20 minutes to install. I have been dragging around a heavy hand carry tool box in and out of my truck and trailer for a couple of years. Not anymore.
Jim L - 08/24/2018Cheap but does the job. Had to drill holes because the pre-drilled holes didn't line up with my trailer. Also, the included hardware was too short so had to buy my own square u-bolts. Might work for some cheap trailers. This box worked for me because of the small size especially front to back and height. The jack on my trailer is mounted farther back from the hitch then usual. I'm happy with it.

Good box for the price. Don't like the fact that you must lock it to keep it closed. My box has 6 staple scratches on the lid from the shipping department.
This is your typical cheap thin metal tool box. Light weight and perfect for mounting on the tongue of a trailer to house item you have little investment in. Don't expect to keep any thief out of this as you can one handed peel the lid off with the lock engaged if you wanted too. Works well for what I wanted though.
