The screws that holds the wires are to small. I would have liked them to be more robust. But it did work, but since I just installed it I can’t attest to it’s longevity.

by:

Worked for me. I used the six wire even though I only hooked up 4 for the toad. The RV 7 blade allowed me to bring a power lead to the toad if I ever need it for charging or power the Aux Brake unit. The bracket could be rotated in any direction and I found the best way was to rotate 90 degrees and install to the base plate. My toad grill made for a tight fit for both break-a-way switch and light connector, but they fit side by side with the addition of an L bracket for the break-a-way. The wiring connections seemed solid and water tight. Wired correct 1st time, No Problems.

Still good after a year of use.

The stuff not here

by:

Very difficult to make the wiring connections, I was afraid I’d have problems on down the road so, I took it out of circuit and threw it away

by:

I have made purchases for two different vehicles. Both were used for four wheel down towing. Each time etrailer gave me correct information on the products and promptly shipped and delivered them. Best of all they fit correctly and no surprises. I will use them again.

thank you for touching base with me. All the products seem to be fine. They are in use

I installed this product on a 2016 Cherokee. I followed the instruction video pretty much exactly. However, I realized it had a tendency to push in and out when plugging in the cable. I zip-tied the bottom of the bracket to the car grill and that stopped the bracket from moving.
Great product. I haven't had any issues with it since installation.

Great product! Etrailer.com is great to do business with. Responsive and very fast to deliver!

Connector still works fine. Haven’t had any problems.

by:

It was exactly like I expected and etrailer's service was fantastic. I THOUGHT I had ordered it but it never showed up (I probably forgot to push the "enter order" button. Anyway, I called them and spoke to Jesse. He went out of his way to make sure the order had not been entered, then entered it for me and followed up to make sure I got it. Thanks, Jesse!

by:

This product was exactly what I needed to complete the wiring connections between the RV and Jeep Wrangler. Comes with easy instructions and mounting hardware.

by:

Worked as expected!

Easy to install
wires and by using the included bracket, had no problem at all installing it on the front of my TOAD (2012 Ford Fiesta)

by:

I've ordered from etrailer previously and have always gotten good service at good prices. Very satisfied, once again. I also appreciate the videos that etrailer provides as assistance for those of us who always need assistance! I'm sure I'll be back again when I need rv parts.

by:

Yes I use it from my motorhome to the jeep I tow and to the trailers.

by:

Finally found a plug with a cable clamp...most don't have this! As always, eTrailer was easy to deal with, shipped quickly, and had fair prices.

by:

Perfect for the application used on my ATV and holding up well

by:

Installing was a bit of challenge finding a good place/method.
It has worked fine since installed. My vehicle is a 2019 Chevy Colorado.

by:

The plug looks to be good quality but the bracket is cheap.

by:

Have ordered a number of products from etrailer over the years and never been let down. Response has always been fast and of great quality.
Thanks etrailer!

by:

This is a replacement for one I caught on something and broke. It is installed and working great. I have it on my Goldwing trike. It is the right size and works perfect. I love it.

by:

Nice connector, came with everything needed to install.

by:

  • 6-Way Trailer Connector Availability for a 2006 Chevy Silverado
It sounds like you are looking for a 6-way vehicle-side trailer connector. For that we have the part # HM48420. I attached an install video that shows the connector being installed in a similar 2013 Chevy Silverado as your 2006 model.

  • Recommended Base Plates and Flat Tow System for 2015 Jeep Wrangler
For your 2015 Jeep Wrangler to use the Tow Defender # RM-4750, you will need the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-521448-4. This combination will work well with the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar w/ LED Lights # RM-676. Then you will need a wiring kit for your Jeep. I recommend the portions of the Roadmaster wiring kit # RM-15267 that aren't already integrated into your tow bar. These parts are female spade # RM-300115-00, 3 feet wire loom # 459075-1, 30...

  • Tow Bar Diodes for 2015 GMC Terrain with Sockets and Umbilical Adapter Present
Based on your pictures it looks like your tow vehicle has a 7-way pin style connector and the wiring you currently have is a coiled 6-way round to 4-way round. Also looks like you have a socket already that could be wired as well. The 7-way round style connector that you have is not a standard RV style blade 7-way. There's no easy way to use what you have since the sockets your RV has aren't standard so your best option would be to replace or add a 6-way round socket like # HM48420 so...

The Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Extension - 6-Pole Round, # HM47055, will fit your motor home. 6-Pole round plugs will fit with other 6-Pole round wiring, extensions, and accessories. You will need a plug like the Hopkins Endurance 6-Way Trailer Connector Socket - Vehicle End - Ergonomic Design, # HM48420, installed on your 2003 Chevy Tracker. This plug will accept the HM47055 extension. The # HM48440 will not. You will also need a base plate kit for your 2003 Chevy Tracker. You...

  • Connecting 6-way Vehicle Side And Trailer Side Wiring
For your 6-way connection on your tow vehicle and your motorhome, you will want to make sure they match the attached photo. The vehicle side is labeled in the photo as is the trailer side. I gave you views from either side of each adapter. This will give you the standard 6 way wiring so your vehicle and your trailer will be compatible with other 6-way systems.

  • What Gauge Wire will Fit Into a Vehicle Side 6-pole Round Trailer Connector
Both the Hopkins # HM48420 and the Pollack # PK11609 will accept a maximum of 12 gauge wire, so neither will accommodate 10 gauge. To get aux power and ground to your 6-way, you will want to run a length of 12 gauge wire like our 12 Gauge Primary Wire # 12-1-1 or # 12-2-1.

  • Availability of Mounting Bracket for Bargman 6-Way Super Sealed Connector with Cable # 50-86-007
The Bargman 6-Way Super Sealed Connector with Cable that you referenced, part # 50-86-007, includes two integrated mounting tabs, one on either side of the 6-way round connector. No bracket is required, although you do need to supply two screws to attach the connector at the rear of your tow vehicle. I did try a test-fit of this harness with several of the brackets we offer but none will accommodate the size of the cable housing. If you prefer to have your 6-way bracket-mounted you could...

  • Replacing 7-Way Trailer Connector with Smaller Connector to Tow a Trailer with Brakes
A 6-way round trailer connector, like # HM48420, once it's mounted isn't going to be much smaller than a 7-way. If you don't need any functions other than running, brake, and turn lights along with the brake circuit I suggest going with a 5-way flat connector like # HM47900. To put a 5-way on both your tow vehicle and trailer you can use the kit # HM47890 that includes both connectors.

  • How to Wire a 6-Pole Trailer Connector
I have attached a photo of the common functions for a 6-pole trailer connector for you. If you are looking to replace or add a connector to your vehicle/trailer then you can use part # H20036 for the male (trailer) end and part # HM48420 for the female (vehicle) end. If you will be using existing wires to attach to either of these connectors then it is always a good idea to test them for function using part # ALL640595 first.

There are a few different options for you so that the 6-Way Molded Connector with Cable # 50-61-108 is compatible with a connector on your tow vehicle. • Can 6-Way Connector with Separate Brake Light and Turn Signal Circuits Install on 2013 Ford Focus
A 6-Way round connector, especially one that has separate brake light and turn signal circuits, is rare which is why you can't find one. But I can tell you how to make your own 6-Way with separate brake/turn circuits. First, you could get some 6-Wire jacketed wire, # DW04906-1 sold by the foot, and a 6-Way round vehicle side connector such as # HM48420. Then you would use a circuit tester such as # 40376 to find the functions of the taillight wires on your 2013 Ford Focus. Once you have...
