Today in our 2013 Chevy Silverado, well be installing the Hopkins Endurance 6-Pole Trailer Connector Socket part number HM48420. This will be in conjunction with the Pollak 5th Wheel and Goose Neck Trailer Connector Wiring Harness part number PK11932. To begin our install, well take our Hopkins 6-Pole and make sure we have a hole saw large enough so that the 6-Pole can be mounted in our bedside. Were going to mount it about right here, so well go ahead and take our hole saw and drill a hole in the bed liner and side. Now we can take our wiring harness and feed it from underneath up and out the free drilled hole. Once we feed it through, well go ahead and pull it out so we can work with the end. Typically we would install a seven blade end that would connect to this wiring harness, but because we need a 6-pole trailer connector to connect to our trailer end, were going to go ahead and remove each one of these connectors.
The yellow wire will not get used at all. Well go ahead and cut off the ends. Well then go ahead and remove some of the wire loom to give us a little more working room. Ill simply take my utility knife and cut off some of the wire loom. Ill go ahead and take the yellow wire and run it back into the wire loom as it will not be used for this application, then well strip back our wires. Next well take the connector and feed the wires through it.
Well go ahead and loosen this set screw on the top connection which would also be TL for taillight. Well take our brown wire, put it into the connector and then tighten down the set screw to hold it in place. Well go clockwise around our connector, loosening the set screws, installing the wires and then securing them with the set screw. Next, its marked as AX/EB for the electrical brake connection point. Our wiring harness, that will be the blue wire. The next connection is marked RT for right turn signal will be the green wire.
Then well have LT for left turn signal will be our red wire. The center post will be for the black wire which is power to our trailer. Then we have GD for ground that will be our white wire. This ground wire is a little bit larger than our connector will allow for so were just going to trim off just enough wire to get it into the connector. Once we have it in, well tighten it down. Now once we have all the wires installed, tightened down and secured, we can wrap it up with some black electrical and then install the cover.
Well lock the connector in place and tighten down the set screw then well go ahead and finish wrapping up our wires with a black electrical tape. Once weve got it wrapped up, were ready to install it. We can secure it here directly to the bedside with some long self-tapping screws to go all the way through the bed liner into the sheath metal of the bedside. Take the wiring harness, feed it up over the frame and follow the manufacturers wiring down behind the bumper. Here behind the bumper, we can locate the manufacturers electrical connector going to the manufacturers seven blade. To remove it, well release the locking tab on it, a little easier with a flat blade screwdriver and gently prying out. Press on it releasing the connector from the back of the 7-pole. Next, well take the new wiring harness, plug directly into the manufacturers wiring, firmly pressing it together and reconnecting the connector lock. Well take the other end of our wiring harness and replace the manufacturers connector in the back of the 7-Pole, plugging in line with the manufacturers wiring, well firmly press it in place, lock it in position and then push on the connector lock. Then once we have it all connected, well go ahead and secure it with some black zip ties as necessary. Now that we have the wiring secured, well go ahead and cut off the excess zip ties to clean up our install look. That completes the install of the Hopkins Endurance 6-Pole Trailer Connector Socket part number HM48420 in conjunction with the Pollak 5th Wheel and Goose Neck Trailer Connector part number PK11932 on our 2013 Chevy Silverado. .

This heavy-duty trailer connector socket has an outlet for a 6-way plug. A weatherproof, insulated lid covers the terminals. The cover is also easy to open and extra-durable.Very difficult to make the wiring connections, I was afraid I’d have problems on down the road so, I took it out of circuit and threw it away
Worked for me. I used the six wire even though I only hooked up 4 for the toad. The RV 7 blade allowed me to bring a power lead to the toad if I ever need it for charging or power the Aux Brake unit. The bracket could be rotated in any direction and I found the best way was to rotate 90 degrees and install to the base plate. My toad grill made for a tight fit for both break-a-way switch and light connector, but they fit side by side with the addition of an L bracket for the break-a-way. The wiring connections seemed solid and water tight. Wired correct 1st time, No Problems.
This was an exact replacement for another connector that had been damaged. Simple and easy to change out.

Connector still works fine. Haven’t had any problems.
Yes I use it from my motorhome to the jeep I tow and to the trailers.
I installed this product on a 2016 Cherokee. I followed the instruction video pretty much exactly. However, I realized it had a tendency to push in and out when plugging in the cable. I zip-tied the bottom of the bracket to the car grill and that stopped the bracket from moving.
Great product. I haven't had any issues with it since installation.
I have made purchases for two different vehicles. Both were used for four wheel down towing. Each time etrailer gave me correct information on the products and promptly shipped and delivered them. Best of all they fit correctly and no surprises. I will use them again.

still working great after one year on my toad vehicle.
It was exactly like I expected and etrailer's service was fantastic. I THOUGHT I had ordered it but it never showed up (I probably forgot to push the "enter order" button. Anyway, I called them and spoke to Jesse. He went out of his way to make sure the order had not been entered, then entered it for me and followed up to make sure I got it. Thanks, Jesse!
This product was exactly what I needed to complete the wiring connections between the RV and Jeep Wrangler. Comes with easy instructions and mounting hardware.
Great product! Etrailer.com is great to do business with. Responsive and very fast to deliver!

One year later and this is still working great!
I've ordered from etrailer previously and have always gotten good service at good prices. Very satisfied, once again. I also appreciate the videos that etrailer provides as assistance for those of us who always need assistance! I'm sure I'll be back again when I need rv parts.
Worked as expected!
Easy to install wires and by using the included bracket, had no problem at all installing it on the front of my TOAD (2012 Ford Fiesta)
Perfect for the application used on my ATV and holding up well
Installing was a bit of challenge finding a good place/method.
It has worked fine since installed. My vehicle is a 2019 Chevy Colorado.
Very good design and easy to install; best suited for 14 AGW.
This is a replacement for one I caught on something and broke. It is installed and working great. I have it on my Goldwing trike. It is the right size and works perfect. I love it.
Nice connector, came with everything needed to install.
Finally found a plug with a cable clamp...most don't have this! As always, eTrailer was easy to deal with, shipped quickly, and had fair prices.
The plug looks to be good quality but the bracket is cheap.
Have ordered a number of products from etrailer over the years and never been let down. Response has always been fast and of great quality.
Thanks etrailer!
At last I now have a solid connection at the towed vehicle connection. Thank You etrailer.
