To be honest.....it's still in the package it come in! Bad me, to many projects not enough time. The plan was to switch out the four wire plug on my 6.0 QuickSilver trailer so my battery would charge while traveling. Etailer's online helpers helped with answers to my questions and the plan will get done. Etrailer.com is my go to place for trailer parts and accessories for me.

To be honest its still in its package!!

by:

Purchased as part of all parts required to upgrade a 1996 Jayco to electric brakes. Very pleased with quality of parts and results. Battery still fully charged after winter in storage!

by:

If you write this up color for color several colors are incorrect. Parking lights, both turn signal circuits. Brake control was correct. As far as the others I didn't check them.
In cold temperatures the cable is very stiff. The plug is also a bit tight to plug into the truck.
Overall I would look for a better one in the future.

Our junction box has the following wiring code: Red is for the left brake and turn sign, Green is for the running lights, and Brown is for the right brake and turn signal.

by:

I installed this to repair trailer wiring for a dump trailer. The original wiring was spliced into a 7 way plug. I installed the junction box and wired in a new 7 way plug and was very pleased with the results. It really cleaned the wiring up. I would highly recommend using this, especially if you ever need to replace the plug for any reason.

by:

Great idea. So easy to add, change and correct wiring to your trailer. Need to run a wire to brakes? Easy peasy. Love this setup. Ordered another for my other trailer. Haven't put it on yet, but will asap. Well ... when I get a round tuit.

by:

Easy upgrade and install.

Good quality
connector, has held up well. Watch the color coding/pinout.

Trailers don't necessarily follow the same color code. :-D

by:

Came with everything described in the description. Installs easily and cleans up the wiring nicely making it very easy to transition from the plug to the rest of the wiring on the trailer. 4 stars for the plug itself. It’s very difficult to get it to seat into the factory RV connector on my 2020 F150. Once it does seat, the connector body is loose in the socket and rattle loose. I was able to reposition the lead so that it pull down on the connector, but it’s not ideal. I will likely change the connector at some point.

by:

The product itself is good and useful but I did not realize that an RV wiring harness is placed differently than other trailer harnesses. Evidently agricultural trailers use different wire colors for the different functions.

by:

This is an easy and permanent way to fix your failing RV trailer connector.

by:

Well, the wiring box was too small for the bundle of wires I discovered under my 14 foot v-nose cargo trailer. So I didn't use this unit but had a local trailer repair splice in a new connector. Any one want this, it is half price!

by:

Waterproof, easy to install (much better than attempting to use wirenuts. Mounted well to trailer.

by:

Very high quality and exactly what I needed to convert my trailer from surge brakes to electric brakes. No more replacing master cylinders, wheel cylinders and brake lines.

by:

I haven't installed them yet! The materials are high quality and I feel that it will work out great. Going from four wire setup to a seven so I can keep my battery charger on my small travel trailer.

by:

This kit simplified and organized the wiring on my enclosed trailer . I had to replace the plug for attaching to my truck so I went with this kit. It has worked flawlessly and I did not have to worry about what wire controlled what st the plug. I just matched the colored wires on the terminals in the box and that was it.

by:

This product is clearly made of high quality materials and well made. All features were as advertised and as expected. The molded cable/connector is ideal for outdoor conditions. Product was delivered sooner than indicated at order and was very quick! I would recommend eTrailer.com and this product!!!

by:

Couldn’t have been easier to install. Great product, excellent instructions.

by:

Wiring was the hardest part of adding brakes to my trailer. This connector kit made it easier and look neater. It came with plenty of eye splices and cable grommets. You can run wires out of several places on the box, and they give you enough grommets to replace the solid plugs for all of them. Weather tight. My only issue was difficulty inserting the plug into the truck receptacle. I had to file off some material from the edge and wipe a little lubricant on the plug to get it to slide in. Absolutely weather proof when it is in place.
Just a reminder that colors on the wires probably will not match colors on your trailer wiring. I used a meter to confirm continuity between the plug and the wires in the junction box. Triple checked as I connected them and had no problem with power to anything on the trailer.

by:

I ordered s several items from e trailer and they are all been delivered quickly and correct. Will keep ordering from them

by:

Great item easy to install and works pe rfectly

by:

Seems like a good way to rewire a trailer. Unfortunately this didn't include the 2 screws to secure the lid of the junction box. Not sure if 8t was just my package that was lacking or if they are all that way. Defeats the entire purpose of all the weather tight connections to the box. Without the correct size screws the plastic box will strip out easy rendering it useless.

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. The screws are included to secure the lid to the junction box.

The molded plug & sealed junction box is a 5 star upgrade. My old open plug would rust & the lights not work after a short time.

No problems at all. The sealed plug and junction box solved my moisture and corrosion problem. Thanks for a great upgrade to my trailer.

by:

Prefect! Arrived as described and install was so easy! Have already taken the camper our since the install...my new go to if I ever need again. eTrailer is on point!!

by:

Everything just fine worked just fine on the replacement of my damaged one

by:

So far both the wiring harness and junction box kit are working well. Comes with loop connectors and grommets and has a small layout describing the functions of each wire. Would be nice if a diagram was included to match the wires from the trailer to the box since none of the colored wires match up, luckily [online videos] can fix that. I would recommend purchasing, its a good deal and not difficult to install.

by:

The next best thing since sliced bread in trailer wiring. After using this the first time I've put one on any trailer I've had to do wiring work on. I've also used one on my pickup as a junction box that has worked much better and easier to add to or change out components than most "factory" T connections. Don't have intermittent issues with loose pins on plugs like the "t" splitters tend to have. 10/10 will purchase again and have already recommended it multiple times to friends/family.

  • Wire Function to Replace a Trailers 6-Way Connector with a 7-Way
Are you trying to replace a 6-way on a trailer with a 7-way connector, like part # e99011? Traditionally, the white, brown, green, and yellow wires are as you listed them. Then the other 2 wires are for electric brakes and a 12 volt auxillary circuit. However, wire coloring is not always standard and can be very unreliable. Instead I recommend testing each circuit for function. Use a 12 volt battery and connect the negative pole to a good ground and then connect each wire, one at a...
