Video Transcript for Rightline Gear Cargo Bar with Ratchet Handle Review

Hi, everyone. It's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today, we are looking at our Rightline Gear cargo bar with a ratchet handle here at etrailer. So, here's a quick example of how you can use this, but it's really up to you with your situations and your needs. But if I wanna keep my cooler or my other boxes accessible, I don't want them sliding towards my cabin in my truck bed. So, having this right here makes it easier for me to grab my things when I need them.

I also recommend this if you're carrying around something fragile or something valuable, and you wanna make sure they're not slamming into other cargo. So, this uses a ratcheting handle, which helps you line it up with your car or your truck's contours. So, just you use that handle until it is flush with your truck bed. And now you can see how this creates a bar, so that your other items don't slip around. So, this can fit cargo areas of SUVs or truck beds that are 40 to 70 inches apart.

So, if it is a really, really small SUV or a really small hatch, make sure that it is at least 40 inches far apart though, just so that you can use this bar. And when you're looking for a spot inside of your storage, here you're gonna have to make sure that your foot pad fits into that spot. So, you can rotate your foot pad either horizontal or vertical. So, this uses a ratcheting handle to tighten this down. So, we have a couple different notches right here, so let's take a look at them and see how they work, and how to use them on your cargo space.

So, we have this lever right on our ratcheting handle. So, you're gonna pull that, which will engage that spring. And when you have it pulled, that will allow you to move this up and down your ratcheting mechanism. So, with it in the bottom, that is the secured position. And right over here in the middle, that's going to be where you ratchet it down.

So, with it in the middle notch, notice how I can ratchet it down until it fully secures against our wall. Then we're gonna slide this into the stored position. And when you wanna take your bar off, you're gonna bring this all the way over to the end notch. So, hold that lever, bring that over to the end, and then it disengages. Using that ratcheting handle was actually really easy. I like how it is designed. It's durable with this cover around it. That way, it's not gonna rust as quickly. It's also easy to hold. And pulling that lever and then using that ratcheting mechanism is nice too because compared to other ratcheting handles, which can be a little bit tricky and can get caught up, this worked well. So, my final thoughts about this cargo bar is that it is a nice, and quick, and easy way to create some cargo organization inside of your SUV, or your truck bed, or wherever you wanna use this. With it being 40 to 70 inches long, it is nice and versatile. But my favorite part is how that ratcheting handle is designed. Very intuitive, easy to use, durable, sturdy, all of the great things. Now, you do have to make sure you're using it in the right areas and that you ratchet it down completely and make sure it doesn't collapse. So, make sure you use that handle and put it in the right notch. But all in all, I think it works pretty well. And that was in look at the Rightline Gear cargo bar with a ratcheting handle here at etrailer. My name is Evangeline and I hope you enjoyed the journey..

The Rightline Gear Cargo Bar is a very well-made product and the ratcheting handle is sturdy. The protective pads easily mate to the bedsides of my truck, which has a factory spray-in bed liner. Easy to adjust and the entire product has a very good protective finish to ensure years of rugged use.
