The Gate King adjustable truck bed extender is incredibly simple to operate. Simply lower your tailgate, engage the pins on each bar, and lift to your desired angle. As you lift, you'll hear an audible click when your tailgate locks in at each increment.
Once you lift your tailgate completely to close it, the pins will return to the open position. This will let you use your tailgate normally. However, if the tailgate is locked at the tightest angle and unable to close due to a tonneau cover or camper shell, the included tool lets you to release the pins and open the tailgate. This tool also is helpful for other situations where you can't easily release the pins by hand.

It is designed to fit the 2017 and newer Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks. And on a custom-fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application.
Now, these are tailgate adjuster bars that'll let you safely carry longer loads in your truck bed. What's nice with these is they're more convenient, less cumbersome than your typical tailgate extenders. So these will work great for trucks with tonneau covers and camper shells. They are very quick, easy installation. It comes with all the mounting hardware you need, and there's no drilling required.
Basically, these bars will replace your factory tailgate cables and use existing bolt holes that are in your vehicle. They are a nice sturdy bar that'll let you adjust your tailgate to eight different angles from open to close, allows the tailgate to support your load while it's locked in position. So basically you can turn your tailgate into a wheel chock for dirt bikes and ATVs. But just to show you how they operate, this shorter bar will attach to your truck bed, the longer bars will attach to your tailgate. So right now, it'll be in the open position.
So you can see you can push this all the way up, all the way down, just like a regular tailgate. But if you wanna block it in adjustable positions, you'll release this lever right here. And once that releases, it puts that lever into there. And now you can see when you push it up, you'll hear it click, and it locks in that position. If you want it closer, and you can just keep doing that.
And what's nice about it is to readjust it to a different position, just totally close the tailgate. You can see it locks the lever in place. And then when you pull down, it removed the little head there from clipping in there. So now it's totally open and closed. And again, if you want it here, release that, push it, and it'll lock it into place. Move it up, locks it, and again, eight different positions. Now, after your tailgate is closed, as we show you, the pins return to the open position for a nice normal tailgate use. Now, these are durable stainless steel construction. They do have a e-coat finish on 'em to help resist corrosion. These parts are made in the USA. And again, it is for a quantity of two support bars with all the mounting hardware included.
