Today we're gonna take a look at the Bestop Trekstep. Now, this is going to be an easy way to get in and out of your truck bed. With this mounted it's going to just stay flush up against your bumper, but then whenever you need it you just press down on it with your toe and it'll deploy out. So now we have an easy to use step to get up into our truck bed, adjust anything we need to, get anything off our ladder rack or maybe out of a toolbox, hook up our fifth wheel, whatever it may be.Something I like about this is that we can adjust the step forward and backward by loosening the bolts at the bottom. This will actually slide in the track so we can get it adjusted to wherever we need it to be, if that's closer to the cab, maybe closer to the tailgate. And then it also comes with a couple of spacers so that we can get the height adjusted to where we want it.
So if you want it a little bit taller, a little bit shorter, you can get that dialed in there.Everything is gonna be made of a nice, durable aluminum. The arm is gonna be made of an aluminum alloy with a black powder coat finish, and our step is gonna be made of an extruded aluminum. So you don't have to worry about any rusting or corrosion, but it's still gonna be very durable and relatively lightweight.It does have a weight capacity of 400 pounds, but that's pretty much plenty for just about anybody that's gonna be using this step. No worries about this wiggling on you. It's a really secure, solid step.
I've used these before. They make it really easy to get up and into your truck bed. No problem.Now, this is for the passenger side. There's also a driver side available if you wanna get that one instead, or pick up both so you have a step on either side of your truck. You can do so.
The part number for the other step for the driver's side is gonna be B7531115.Now, this is gonna be a custom fit for the 2017 through the current model of Ford F250 and 350 for the crew cab, regular cab, and super cab. And it's also gonna fit the 2017 through 19 Ford F450 for the regular cab. Or excuse me, for the crew cab.The step itself is gonna have a nice rugged finish. It's gonna be kind of a medium grade sandpaper type finish, so it'll give you some nice, nonskid action there. The step is pretty wide.
It's about 11 and a half inches across by 6 and a half inches. So you should have plenty of space, even if we wanna put both feet up there to get in and out.As far as the height, it would kind of depend on how you have this configured. But overall from the bottom of the bracket to the top of the step . Get my tape measurer out here. It's about roughly 9 inches. So it'll bridge the gap there between your bumper and that high bed side. Again, weight capacity's 400 pounds.I think this is a really nice, well made step. It looks good. Bestop is a pretty well known brand, so it's gonna do a great job for you for a long time. That's gonna do it for our look at the Bestop Trekstep for the passenger side.

The step works well and wasn't too difficult to install. Some LockTite should be added to make sure that vibrations do not cause some of the screws to loosen.
Easy install. I ordered the driver side and it is on back order until late October, so I placed another order for the passenger side since it was in stock. Works great and looking forward to getting one for the driver side.
