Air Lift's AirLift 1000HD adjustable air springs have 2,100 pounds of load-leveling capacity and are made specifically to fit inside your rear coil spring suspension for additional load assistance. You can inflate and deflate these tough, molded polyurethane helper springs as needed, ensuring the perfect amount of support for every load, every time. Easily level your vehicle front to rear, and if you run dual air lines to the air springs at installation, then you can inflate the springs independently of one another for side-to-side leveling. AirLift 1000HD is a breeze to install with standard tools and comes with an easy-to-follow instruction manual.
AirLift 1000HD comes with manual inflation valves that are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere on your vehicle for easy access. For even more convenience and control, you can add a compressor and gauge system (sold separately), which will let you monitor and automatically inflate your air springs.
Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

They work great. I’ve used them to align my boat, a utility trailer and the wheelchair carrier for my wife. Has improved the ride and gas mileage by making the combinations more aero Dynamic. I would purchase again and recommend them to others

Installation was a breeze - of course after putting the truck on a frame lift and taking off the tires and wheel wells. Long enough line to run it to the bumper and really easy to fill. Impressive!

Within the first 2 weeks, one of the bags popped. etrailer.com gave us a replacement at no cost and we were able to get it installed right away. Since then, no issues at all after towing a motorcycle trailer and a camper. Havent needed to fill more than the initial and they are just a clean fit. Great product-highly recommend!
I did not like them. The Exploded on me while on the road. customer service was good and sent a replacement .

I am sorry to hear they exploded. It looks like you got a different brand of air bags. I can't wait to see how they worked for you.
Works pretty well. Kind of hard to collapse the bags enough for installation, but I finally got there.
Load handling is great with Airlift rear air bags
I had them installed by my mechanic. I use my Ram 1500 to tow a 12-foot cargo trailer with about 1400 pounds of contents. The bags just evened everything out with the tow. It made me feel much safer. The ride is a little more firm but I felt like it was a good trade-off.

I now about 37k miles on the truck and need the bags about every two weeks. They are holding up well. Hard to imagine pulling without them. I will definitely have them on my next truck as well.

Working great. Keeps my Ram 1500 4x4 level hauling a 31’ fifth wheel
easy to install while I was converting to traditional coil springs.. Held air, haven't tried loading it down yet.
Never had it installed because two estimates were around one thousand dollars. I thought the air bags went inside the springs and would be an easy installation.

The installation may not be the easiest but I cannot see why the places are charging this much. I recommend taking a look at the video install that we have on a 2019 Ram 1500.
Must have item if your using your Gen 5 Ram 1500 to tow. Amazing support and no issues to date. Easy installation.
Looked at these for several days, watched a few YouTube videos and pulled the trigger. They went in easy no fuss. Hook the 25’ air stream to her maybe just maybe a inch of squat. Help control the bounce. Please with my purchase.

This item is amazing! We tow a large 24ft trailer with lots of weight and our truck weighing down and the trailer would drag on hills. This was cheap and excellent options to raise the vehicle. Highlights recommend.

Great - would highly recommend this for anyone whose trailering something that weighs down your back end. 2nd purchase of this item for two different trucks and am extremely happy with it. 1st we had this professionally installed and 2nd we were able to install ourselves with YouTube help. No need to remove springs!

Install is very straightforward and parts seem to be of high quality. Haven’t tried towing anything yet but they definitely helped with hauling soil.
I purchased these a year ago. I tow a heavier camper and wanted more support on the rear of my Ram 1500. It works great. Up to this point I haven’t had any troubles. It will boost the rear end of my truck pretty high and easily offset the weight of the camper. I’m no mechanic and I was able install it without issue. Follow the instructions to collapse the air bags and use large zip ties to keep it collapsed. This allows you to work in between the springs easily. Before you let them go and cut the zip ties and allow them to reinstate, go ahead and run your air line in the top and down to make it easier to hook to the airbags. If you do this it make it easy to get inside the springs. You can use soapy water solution to make it slide between the springs easier to if needed. Theme just run your lines to the bumper. Nothing hard to do at all. I run them all year with around 7psi in them. It saids run them with a minimum of 5 psi. Them when your going to tow air them up. I usually air them up to 40psi and I’m all set to go. I would recommend them and place them also on the next truck I get.
We tow a Travel Trailer that has a very heavy tongue weight with our Ram 1500. Ram trucks have coil spring on the rear which make for an excellent ride, unless towing something with a heave tongue weight. The truck did not handle well while towing until we added these air bags. Tows like a dream now! We did not install the onboard compressor which can be ordered separately, but we will be doing that soon.
The installation of the Ai Lift 1000 HD air spring kit was very difficult due to the 2019 Ram Truck rear suspension not being suitable for easily removing the spring. Having a lift is a must. I recommend that this kit not be used for a 2019 Ram 1500 and instead use an external to the spring air bag arrangement.
Again, great experience ordering from etrailer! I bought the Air Lift 1000HD to assist my 2019 Ram 1500 with a 900lb hitch load. The product is good but could be better. I think the air fitting on top of the bag and the schrader valves should be a 90 degree swivel push lock. I also think the plastic tee should be a push lock y-fitting instead of a tee. I was able to install the bags using the hot dog folding method (Google it if your not familiar). I would recommend using some tape to hold the spacer in the top of your spring mount before letting air in the bags. My spacer fell out and it was hard to get in after the bags aired up. I mounted the schrader valve in the rear corner of my bed by the tail light, just used large washers to mount in existinghole (no drilling). Ran the air lines up the rear stake pocket. Have run the truck with 10lbs in the bag for a week, can't tell a difference in handling. Will be bringing our camper home tomorrow, hopefully the bags make trailering better. Hope this helps!
Good product and quality for pickups...
This system is affordable, effective and reliable. It allows me to safely tow my 30 foot four place enclosed snowmobile trailer behind my 1500 Ram. I had them professionally installed and it only took an hour. I carry a battery powered air pump to inflate the bags. For my application 40 psi is perfect. etrailer is my go to for all my trailer needs. Never been disappointed Very happy with all of my purchases.
