5,000-lb Capacity. Designed to upgrade your rear suspension, LoadLifter 5000 air springs provide high-quality, full-time load support. They level your vehicle, improving braking and ride comfort and reducing the strain on your factory suspension.
Features:
Specs:
Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 was designed with an exact purpose: to provide full-time, first-class support to your 3/4- or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck. With this kit, you get a safer ride and simultaneously protect your vehicle from the strain that comes with hauling massive loads.
Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all four wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.
LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, two-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.
This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).
Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.
Along with a lifetime warranty that has no mileage restrictions, Air Lift offers a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. Just install and use LoadLifter 5000 springs for 60 days, and if you are not satisfied at the end of this time, you can remove them from your vehicle and return them for a full product refund. Now that's confidence.

Today we're going to take a look at the Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 air helper springs for your rear axle. This is going to have a custom-fit design to work with your vehicle. This fits a lot of different vehicles out there, mostly some of your bigger trucks and RVs. To make sure that this is a fit for your vehicle in particular use our fit guide her at etrailer.com. Put in your make and model and go from there. These are going to be constructed of a two-ply reinforced fabric rubber.
They're going to give you these air springs that will help to reduce some of the typical issues that we have whenever we have a loaded-down vehicle, things like body roll sag and sway side to side. This is going to cushion your suspension and give you a little bit more of a cushioning effect for whenever you're going over rough terrain, like hitting ruts in the road or any potholes, things like that, and also it helps to make a connection between your axle and your frame to help to reduce that body sway or the body rollback side to side.A lot of RVs will have that problem, especially since they're not really built to have that big box on top of that frame, so they tend to kind of sway and this is going to connect those back together and improve that overall feel. It makes our vehicle feel more secure, safer on the road. Also, if we're experiencing some drop in the backend of our vehicle it's going to bring that back up. If it's offset to one side you can adjust these independently so you can get everything leveled out as you need it to be. They're going to be really durable.
Again, constructed of that two-ply fabric reinforced rubber. It has these end caps that are made of a Zytel nylon, which is going to be lighter, stronger, more corrosion-resistant material than steel. A lot of times the end of those are made of steel and they can fail on you.It comes with everything you see here. We'll have our heat shield for our exhaust. You put this in the closest location to your bag on the passenger's side and you mount this to the exhaust with the two hose clamps there.
Just bend out the tabs and then they slide into those hose clamps and that helps to protect the bag from any melting from the exhaust, and then we'll also have a little shield to go over our quarter-inch air line, again, by the exhaust. We'll have a good length of air hose to get everything connected. Both the Schrader valves are already installed, so you just have to find place where you want to mount these. I've seen people put them in their gas cap, but a lot of times you'll typically mount those Schrader valves on your back bumper. You can even mount them to two of the holes on your license plate.
That's kind of a neat way to do it. If you just widen out the holes that hold your license plate in place you can replace the bolts with the Schrader valves and then attach all your hardware and it kind of hides that look, but it's still accessible at the back. We'll have all the rest of our hardware. These are actually going to be the straps that actually go around the axle and secure the bottom of our air springs to the vehicle. These top brackets mount to the frame. There's no drilling required with these. Everything bolts up into place with pre-existing holes. That's a fairly easy install to do. You just have to have a little patience in assembling everything and getting it into place. You will have to have your suspension hang whenever you get to get these in place, and then you'll want to bring that suspension back up or that back axle back up to get everything tightened down.Another added benefit to having air springs in our vehicle is that it's going to extend the life of all our OEM suspension components since we have this other piece that's going to be taking some of the brunt and strain of that road shock. It's just going to make everything else last a little bit longer. Our load leveling capacity with these is going to go up to 5,000 pounds. The thing to keep in mind with that, though, is that it's not going to increase the overall weight-carrying capacity with your vehicle. It's not going to make your gross trailer weight any higher than it already is. It just helps to support up to that much weight, so you never want to exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit for your vehicle. Our air pressure is adjustable between 5 and 100 psi. This has a lifetime warranty from Air Lift and it is made in the USA. That's going to do it for our look at the Air Lift Load Lifter 5000 air lifter springs for the rear axle.

Air Lift air springs are good and dependable, use them for the last 25 years on three pick-ups always worked great. My complaint would be against the lousy packaging which came with two or three holes and all messed up, luckily all that was missing was one washer.

Quick shipping and great customer service. Install went very well and has helped reduce the rear sag on our 01 F350 dually. We have a +3200lb Palomino truck camper in the bed. My next project will be replacing stock sway bars with heavier duty sway bars.

Exactly what we needed, was originally going to install Air Lift 1000 HD helpers for coil springs. But, those items were on backorder at the factory and that was more of a make do solution. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 was in stock, Nicole at etrailer arranged the cancelation of the original order, and had the 5000s shipped. Installation as per the instructions was a breeze, had all the necessary tools until it came time to reinstalling the truck's coil springs. ATTENTION to all, once the LoadLifter 5000 air bags are installed, the axle on a RAM 1500 Classic doesn't drop as far, short by about 2 inches! Luckily, the local store loans tools, with the aid of a coil spring compressor, the coil springs were reinstalled in a few minutes.
Since the trailer electrical connections are on the drivers side of the license plate, I located both schrader valves on the drivers side of the license plate. Note the position of the heat shield on the passenger side.

Awesome addition to my truck. First picture shows how much the truck was squatted, the second is after installation and is now level. Ride and drive are so much better. I installed myself with no special tools. Took about 2 hours. Instructions and videos on web site were a big help! Thanks etrailer!

I got your deal of the day, but unfortunately, your trailers are a bit lacking for my needs. I built a stage trailer. Here are the pics. By the way, I purchased all my trailer parts from etrailer for this project, tires, rims, axials, brakes, sway bar, airlift suspension, electrical, and so on. I couldn't have done this without your staff.
Thanks

I first purchased the Air Lift LoadLifter in an attempt to help reduce trailer sway and handling of my truck when towing my travel trailer. The far exceeded my expectations. Having the ability to get both my truck and my trailer completely level has made an enormous difference in towing. These air bags are not designed to reduce trailer sway, but being able to tow with everything level and having anti-sway mechanism is the perfect pair. I only wished I had found them earlier and there would be been several less "white knuckle" driving experiences.

I towed my travel trailer with these on for the first time this past weekend and it made a huge difference. With my F150 towing a 32’ camper it took a lot of the bounce and sway out of the trailer. It kept it perfectly level and they are easy to use.

First, I can’t say enough about etrailer and Amy E. and all her help. I will be happy to highly recommend etrailer to all of my camping friends and people I meet at the campground. They were extremely helpful and very diligent in keeping me informed of my order status.
The airlift load lifter 5000 has performed fantastic. I got home Thursday evening from work and started the installation project. I did the process in my driveway in 2 1/2 hours. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. If you have the capability I recommend lifting the whole back end of the truck and removing the rear wheels for installation. I was able to work over the rotor while kneeling instead of laying underneath the truck the entire time. I also purchased the airlift union tee and put a single Schrader valve in my bumper.
I left the next afternoon for a weekend of camping and was happy to see my truck sitting level while being hooked up to the camper.
Thank you again Amy E and etrailer

Bag had a hole in it and I didn’t find it until I had already installed them because in was in a bolt hole. Now I’m waiting to get another bag from airlift because y’all can’t warranty there product. My next purchase was going to be the compressor kit to go with the bags but not now. The whole warranty thing is very frustrating. My opinion don’t sale anything you can’t warranty yourself.

I have a 2020 F250 and when I hook up to my 14000 pound 5th wheel the pickup would sag a little. It pulled okay as-is but it really needed to be level for better stability, braking, and headlights. I purchased the Air Lift Loadlifter 5000 from etrailer and after they had installed it, what a difference it made. With just the install, it elevated the bed one additional inch with only 5 pounds of air in the bags. Once I hooked up, I put 25 pounds of air in the bags which was plenty to raise the bed to just beyond level. I am very satisfied with this addition and if you are experiencing sag, I highly recommend this product. For the minimal cost of the product, it was well worth the investment in safety, ride comfort , and stability.

Warm weather has allowed my son and me to do this installation. It went well and took us about 5 hours from start to finish including unpacking, reading the manual, installation, and putting up the tools. Then did the leak test and did the test drive. Hauled 500 pounds today and working great. Without any weight in the truck it still rides very smooth.
Thanks to Erik B for his help and advice on line.

Great system and fairly easy to install. torquing the bolts to spec is somewhat challenging due to difficulty of getting a torque wrench in there. I am towing a 9500lb camper behind my F150 and the air springs made a huge difference. still need a bigger truck but at least I can take my time getting a new one while still towing comfortably with the F150.
etrailer was great as always. Couldn't be happier!

I have a 2019 Nissan Titan XD with the 5.6 GAS motor. Wanted to do an Airlift suspension to provide a little support and get my headlights perfectly back to level when towing my travel trailer. No one makes an airbag kit for the gas XD, but after discussing it some with John H at etrailer, I decided to go with the kit for the diesel truck and see how things went.
The kit for the diesel truck fit perfectly, except that there is an emissions component hung from a bracket on the driver's sign frame that prevents a direct install of the driver's side bag. My shop was able to install the kit with no trouble - they just had to bend the bracket with the small emissions component attached upwards for clearance. Everything else went in as designed. Great fit - can't wait to see it work under load.

I purchased the air helper spring to assist with the weight distribution hitch for my travel trailer. I have some sag in the rear suspension on my 1/2 ton PU and was hoping to level out my truck with the air springs. As I aired up the spring the rear of my truck raised up as well as the front. They did not help the rear suspension sag on my truck, only give some assistance to the rear leaf springs, small benefit.

Overall experience with etrailer was very good. Air Lift was installed on a 2004 Dodge 2500 which is used to pull a 36 ft 5th wheel, stock trailer and lots of ton loads of cattle products. The Air Lift system has leveled out the ride, stabilized the ride and overall performance is excellent. The only issue I have is a minor air leak which requires regular checking and adding air. Have not been able to locate this leak and for the time being will just keep checking and adding air as needed. Yes, I would recommend Air Lift!!

The install was easy. The instructions do not address the fact that you should not allow the axle to hang on the air bags when the vehicle is on a lift or jack stands. I included pictures of the chains I made to support the weight of the axle when on my lift. Also a pro tip is to smear a small amount of Teflon thread sealant on the tube to lubricate and help the tube to seal in the fitting, I included pictures of the sealant applied.

All & All working as expected. Install was straight forward but removing bump stops was a little challenging for they were rusted bad. My f250 rides level & smoother now when towing 11,000 lb. 5th wheel trailer.

They work well after fixing leak in line. 4 stars because I don't like the way they sit on the axle housing. I believe it would be much better if you rounded the points where they sit.i will be taking them off to do this myself for piece of mind.

These were suppose to bolt right on my 2022 Ram, directions said to cut off over spring bumper framework , I want to return this item, not safe per shop that was going to install , they said cutting is not in good area, too close to to many lines /tank etc.....

Overall this product is just what I need, the installation was messy the clamp brackets on the front of the axle wouldn't allow the wire harness protection plate to be reinstalled properly I made it work
