Note: When servicing your truck with Air Lift air springs installed, if the truck is lifted by the frame, the air must be let out of the springs. And if the rear of the truck is lifted during service, then it must be supported by jack stands to avoid damage to the air springs.

Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts tremendous stress on your vehicle. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even improper and unsafe headlight aim. Fortunately, there is a solution to these problems. By pairing your existing suspension with the LoadLifter 5000, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and give your vehicle the support it desperately needs. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity and distributes the weight of your payload to all 4 wheels. As a result, the stress on your OEM suspension is significantly reduced.
LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated independently of one another for front-to-rear and side-to-side leveling. They are made of high-quality, 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends, where the bag is enclosed with a steel cap, because the steel can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. The endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air. Also, LoadLifter 5000 comes with Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which both protect your air springs and beef up the load capacity of the springs.
This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump air in through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the valves (one for each spring) in an easily accessible area - typically they are installed on the bumper. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately).
Air Lift kits are designed to keep your vehicle at normal ride height. You can find the normal ride height of your vehicle by unloading it and measuring the distance between the bottom edge of your wheel well and the center of the hub. After you find and record this distance, you can regulate the amount of air that you put into your air springs to maintain normal ride height - even when you are hauling a heavy load. You will need to adjust the air pressure in your air bags according to the size of your load.

Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Airlift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Spring Set. These springs are going to help reduce the strain on your rear suspension, help to increase your safety and ride quality, as well as compensate for your uneven loads. The springs themselves are designed for your heavy duty applications, such as half ton, three quarter ton, and one ton pickup trucks. But the included mounting brackets are specifically designed for your 2023 and newer Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty.
Because these are specifically designed for your Ford, this is gonna be a very simple installation. They do include all of the mounting hardware, as well as instructions to walk you through that process. Make sure that everything's installed properly. These will provide a load leveling capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. Now, when you hear that, it's very tempting to think that means that you'll be able to carry 5,000 pounds more than your vehicle's gross towing weight capacity.
That's not gonna be the case. There's no suspension enhancement system on the market that's gonna increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. So think of it less like a second set of hands that's helping you lift more weight. Think of it more like a back brace. So it's there to help.
Take some of the strain off your factory suspension system, help reduce the wear and tear on your rear system, help reduce the uneven wear on your tires. The bags themselves will help to diminish your sway and absorb shock, and make a nice, smooth ride for you. They can be adjusted from five PSI for your light loads. And if you don't (indistinct) empty loads, you don't want a lot of engagement. It can go down to five PSI, all the way up to 100 PSI for your really heavy loads where you need a lot of support.
They do have the manual air adjustment capability there, so you can adjust the air pressure to exactly what you need and that will help to level your vehicle front to back, and therefore help to maintain your safe headlight aim. It's gonna help to improve your steering and braking performance, and keep your tires from wearing unevenly. As I said, they will adjust side-to-side independently, and so if you've got a really heavy toolbox or something on the one side of your truck, you can add more air to that bag, to give you the support you need on that side, and the other bag will allow you to have a softer engagement if you need it. This whole setup is made here in the USA, so you can trust it is gonna be great quality. The springs are a two-ply fabric reinforced rubber, so it is gonna be extremely durable. It does also feature Airlift's exclusive upper and lower roll plates that are going to help protect the air springs from damage and extend the life of your suspension system. They also have a high strength Zytel nylon in-cap that are going to be lighter, stronger, and more corrosion resistant than steel. As I said, all the insulation instructions, your air lines, inflation valves, hardware, it's all included. Your manual valves are going to be run back. Typically, they'll be mounted on your rear bumper, so that they'll be very easy to access. You can add air, take air out as needed. This system does not include a compressor, but there are several different options available here etrailer.com. So if you do want to have the convenience of being able to inflate or deflate, monitor your airbag pressure from the comfort of your cab, I would recommend taking a look at those options. Otherwise, you know, it can be kind of difficult to find some air if you're traveling down the road, you feel like you need some more support, you gotta go to a gas station, find an air tank and that sort of thing, or a compressor. So the built-in compressors can be really nice, but it's not necessarily essential, and just a added benefit for you. This system does come with a lifetime warranty.
