The air springs and jounce springs in this system work together to give you the best ride whether your truck is loaded or unloaded. Air Lift's LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs have internal urethane foam jounces that protect the air springs and provide added ride comfort when your air pressure is low. The jounces also allow you to temporarily carry a load if the air springs lose air pressure. This gives your 3/4- or 1-ton pickup, motor home, or commercial truck air springs that are easier to maintain.
Carrying heavy cargo in your truck bed or trailer puts extra stress on your truck. Your brakes erode faster, your tires wear unevenly, and handling suffers severely. When towing, you might also experience excessive sway, bottoming out, and even inaccurate and unsafe headlight aim.
By pairing your existing suspension with LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs, you can seriously beef up your suspension, ensure equal load distribution, and get the support you need. The springs provide up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling capacity (depending on the weight-carrying capacity of your vehicle) and distribute the weight of your payload to all 4 wheels. As a result, the stress on your factory suspension is significantly reduced. LoadLifter's air bags are adjustable from 5 to 100 psi for precise support, and they can be inflated equally for front-to-back leveling or independently of one another for side-to-side leveling.
The air springs are made of high-quality, 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber. Most air bags lose air at the ends where the bag is enclosed with steel caps. These caps can rust and corrode over time, creating small holes. But the endcaps on Air Lift air bags are fashioned from corrosion-proof Zytel nylon, a material that is both stronger and lighter than steel, ensuring that the air bags won't lose air.
The air bags also have Air Lift's exclusive roll plates, which protect the air springs and beef up their load capacity. These sturdy plates help guard the springs from moving parts under your vehicle that might puncture the air bags. The plates also provide a larger surface area for each spring to roll on. The extra surface area gives you a higher spring rate at a lower air pressure, resulting in a better ride.
The closed-cell urethane jounce spring inside each air spring gives you a more stable, comfortable ride. Each jounce acts as an overload spring and engages when your current air pressure level isn't enough to support your load. So on a rough road, the springs will kick in if needed to absorb bumps and shocks and help you to avoid bottoming out. When the jounces support a load, they adjust progressively - the more weight you pile on, the stiffer they become. The urethane material engages more smoothly than rubber jounces so you get a less jerky ride.
Because these jounces are taller than your factory jounce bumpers, they engage sooner than your factory jounces would to provide better support. And if the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate air springs have insufficient or zero air pressure, the internal jounces will help to temporarily support your suspension and protect it from damage until you can repair or adjust the air spring system.
This system installs with the included brackets and hardware. Just mount the springs, inflate them, and ride. To inflate the LoadLifter springs, you just have to pump in air through the inflation valves. A line kit is included with the springs so that you can install the manual inflation valves (1 for each spring). These are typically mounted on the bumper but can be installed anywhere that is easily accessible. If you want to make the springs even easier to use, you can get a compressor and gauge system (sold separately) that allows you to monitor and adjust the springs from the cab of your truck.

Jounces also work as a fail-safe if air springs lose pressure.This was the 1st negative experience that I've had with etrailer in several purchases. The score is a reflection of the customer service and not the product itself. The box arrived severely damaged and there were parts missing. Spoke with an etrailer rep and she said they would have to reach out to Airlift to get the replacement parts shipped and send me an email when they did. Been a week and have not heard a thing back. Most of the missing parts were nuts and bolts I could find locally, but there was also a missing bracket piece. Luckily it was just a rectangular (3/4"x1"x about 5") block of aluminum with a hole drilled in it. Ended up fabricating the piece myself by buying some flat stock iron 1/4"x1", cut 3 pieces to length, welded them together, and drilled a hole in it. Luckily I have access to the needed equipment to fabricate this piece so I could get the product installed in time to pick up a new camper we just purchased. I won't abandon etrailer after 1 strike, but it was a disappointing experience.
These bags are amazing. Make the rear end ride pretty rough so I put deaver add a packs from carli and did the day star buckets for the bags. Now they are connected when I need them, and disconnected when I dont. Pretty awesome set up. I've put 5200 pounds of rock in the bed of my truck, the rock yard thought I was crazy but then I aired up the bags. You should of seen their faces. Rode level, sat at about 85 psi and rode like a caddy.

Works good, followed the instructions to a tee for install I’m a tech at a ford dealership so wasn’t hard to read and install accordingly, good quality in all hardware my issue is one of the airbags has developed a small leak in less than 6 months time and only a handful of uses as instructed always kept 15-20 psi in the bags not sure why one failed or developed a leak but will see how the lifetime warranty works out

Its fairly rare for the leak to occur in the bags themselves, the point where the air lines join the fittings is a much more likely culprit. The best way to find exactly where the leak is would be to add a little bit of water to a cup with a little bit of liquid dish detergent, and paint it on all the fittings, as well as at the schrader valve where you fill the system. A small paintbrush works well. When the system is pressured up, look for the bubbles and thatll be your leak. Leaks most frequently happen at the fittings because of the air line not being cut perfectly straight. If you find the bags are indeed the culprit, they are covered by a lifetime warranty. Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 installed on a 2016 F350, pulling a Momentum 328M. While it was not the cure all for ride quality that some claim, there was an improvement in ride quality, especially at bridge joints and rail road tracks and my headlights are now back on the road when towing the RV. Shipping was prompt and all parts needed were included with the kit. Installation was simple (watching the video helped a lot), getting the rear of the truck elevated (I drove mine up on a set of ramps) and removing the spare tire simplified the process as it allowed me to sit under the truck. I had one leak at the fitting where the air hose screws into the air spring, it was repaired by removing the fitting, applying teflon tape, and reinstalling. I am satisfied with the product and would recommend to anyone considering adding air springs.
The product took a little bit to install, but once it was in it worked as expected. Originally I didn't buy a pump and found it was to much of a hassle to always try and get the air just right when wanting to tow as I needed my 5th wheel hitched up first. So I finally installed the compressor that I can control with the remote and this has made a big impact. The air bags help take out some of the bucking I was getting and it also helps level out the backend of the truck. It takes some time to get the right air pressure to your liking, but once you know the number, you can just set it each time.

Good day gents, I recently purchased the load lifter 5k. So far this is a fantastic product. They are rugged and heavy duty. everything bolts up nice and tight. I separated my instillation by two days; left side one day and right side the next it was a comfortable and less stressful pace. The instructions were a little difficult to follow but they include several schematics to refer to. I haven't experienced any leaks so far and they are holding pressure. There is an aftermarket super glide 5th wheel hitch in my truck so I did have to use a 1/2" drill to reveal the holes in my frame. Also if you have a hitch like mine or any aftermarket hitch you might need a longer 8x55 mm bolt for the left side that you won't find out until later....yea. I pull a 14k fifth wheel with my F250 and it works out great. Thanks again for an excellent solution.
This AirLift system was just what the truck doctor prescribed to cure my sagging 2016 F250 diesel 4dr 4WD. With the extra weight of my slide-a-bed to ease the access to all my tools & barn supplies that I carry around, combined with towing my 10K# travel trailer from time to time, the stock suspension was lacking. This cure was easy to install (took me about 3 hrs working on the ground without the aid of a lift, only ramps and a 3-ton floor jack). Installed load lifter 5000 plus with the smart air 2 single path on a 2015 F250. I pull a 30’ travel trailer with a GVRW of ~10k and looking for a product to work with my weight distribution hitch to keep the truck level.
Good product all the necessary fittings are in package, install was not difficult. Took me a bit to figure out the magnet placement for the auto leveling, but a call to customer service helped me figure out what I was doing wrong. The staff is very helpful and helped with original order and troubleshooting. Only issue I had was the clamps for the heat shield were to small.
5000 Ultimate is a great addition for pulling our 5th wheel RV. In combination with the WirelessONE it is easy to operate while driving. Big shout out to the staff at eTrailer, you folks ROCK!!!
I installed the Air Lift system to help smooth out the ride of my F250, especially when I'm towing our travel trailer. From the first time I used them, I was impressed. And the folks at etrailer help me make sure I got the right set and all the parts to make the installation a snap.
Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate installed on a 2011 F-250. Took a little searching but found a video with the exact year and model of my truck; made the install quite a bit easier after watching a couple of times. I did the install in the driveway with just a floor jack and jack stands; no power tools except as noted below - just wrenches, a ratchet & sockets. The only issue I really had was removing the stock jounce stoppers. I was only able to get a couple of turns with the wrench before they froze up. Fortunately that was far enough to allow me to get a reciprocating saw on the stud between the frame and the stopper. Other than that, went exactly as described.
Works very well for intended purpose. Keeps the truck nice and level when hauling a heavy load such as fifth wheel or heavy trailer. One and only drawback is it completely ruined the smooth ride when not loaded.
This was a great addition to my 2011 F250 King Ranch. Instructions were clear and installation was not to difficult.
Ride is very good wether pulling my 5th wheel or not. I really like the internal jounce so that I can maintain minimal air pressure during normal driving.
The air bags were just what I expected and simple to install. They made the ride more pleasurable with my 5th wheel connected.
Feels like a new truck!

The Air Lifts I purchased were for my 2015 Ford Super Duty, and they worked great. Ive since traded that truck in on a 2017 F-350 DRW Super Duty that has been engineered so that the springs are set in stages. This new 2017 doesnt need the Air Lifts, but if it ever did, that is what I would purchase.
I haven't indralled them yet. However I received the bags on time and in great condition. I'll follow up when I install them.

Been a little over a year and the bags are great. My set up works very well. No leaks. The compressor stopped working but I messed with the ground wire and it came back on. The compressor sits right in front of the tire so it sees a lot of wear and tear and shes still working good
