Specs:
Firestone Ride-Rite springs are designed to increase safety and reduce the strain on your vehicle when you are hauling heavy loads or towing a heavy trailer. The springs partner with your existing rear suspension system to help keep your vehicle level, maintain even load distribution and increase stability. Hauling heavy loads or towing a heavy trailer can make the rear of your vehicle sag and the front end rise. This puts more strain on your rear axle and reduces contact between your front tires and the road, causing problems with braking, steering control and traction. By adding air springs to your rear suspension, you can help to level your vehicle and improve braking and handling. The air springs also help to level your headlight beams and reduce wear on your tires.
Adjustable Air Pressure
The air pressure in your Ride-Rite springs can be adjusted manually, side to side, to compensate for off-center loads. A centered load improves the stability of your vehicle by reducing body roll. The air springs will also help to absorb road shock and to soften contact between your axle and frame. This prevents bottoming out, thus improving ride comfort. Route the air line tubing for the springs to your vehicle's bumper to provide easy access to the manual inflation valves.
Air Spring Construction
Firestone's double-convoluted Ride-Rite air springs are designed to give you maximum load support and enhance the performance and ride comfort of your vehicle. The rubber springs provide cushioning between your suspension components and operate at up to 100 psi. The springs have four layers of reinforced rubber to ensure durability and enhance load support. A braided wire girdle creates the double-convoluted shape of each air spring, increasing the burst pressure of the spring. The rubber springs are attached to corrosion-resistant metal end plates with a time-proven, rolled crimp seal that keeps the bags securely anchored.
Air Spring Installation
Each Ride-Rite kit includes custom-fit brackets that connect to your axle and frame. The brackets provide the mounting points for the air springs. Drilling may be required for some applications.

4,800-lb Capacity. Ride-Rite air springs enhance your factory suspension for safety and stability when you are hauling heavy loads. They reduce strain on your rear axle, keep your vehicle level, and adjust to load size for a consistently smooth ride.Installed easily, and used them to pull a heavy 24’ trailer across the country with a half ton pickup. The only thing I’d like to see is a manual leveling system with gauges and a compressor on board. I use a hand pump specifically for motorcycle air suspension to make the fine adjustments required to set the pressure. Works well. They did their job perfectly.
Outstanding product!!! Well made and easy to install on my 2010 Tundra TRD. Just basic tools needed so anyone can do it!! Take your time and it is a fun 2 hour project. Made towing my trailer so much nicer. Level ride with comfort and good maneuverability. Think I am going to add these to my other GMC work truck as well.
It was an easy install and everything fit OK. I removed the spare tire to make it easy. I had to slightly bend the brake hose bracket on both sides and another bracket just slightly to clear the rear spring clamp at the bottom of the spring. I carry my 1,400 pound Honda Pioneer 700 and pull my travel trailer with a 400 pound hitch weight. I have your weight distribution hitch for some of the hitch weight.
Installation was easy. I use the Firestone suspension when I tow my fifth wheel. I can raise the truck back up to level with a load on the hitch, and ride is much improved.
Works great. My camper rides so much better now that I can level my back end. Definitely recommend!
Yes very good set of air helper springs and good push on fittings.
These worked great on my 2016 Tundra. They did firm up the ride even with 5lbs in them. It also raised the rear of my truck about an inch. I only needed about 7 lbs in them when pulling my TT. Just a side note, once the bags were installed I felt like I could never get my weight distribution hitch correct, the sag I had helped with stability of the camper. I adjusted the hitch height and angle of the ball.
Installed on Tundra Crewmax, very easy. Works excellent and looks great pulling 28 ft camper. I would definitely recommend and will install on all my future trucks.
Installation was pretty straight forward. Completed in about 2.5 hours taking my time, in my drive with basic tools. Havent had a chance to test them out. 2008 Toyota Tundra 29' Heartland Sundace travel trailer Measurements from wheel well to floor. I purchased the helper springs for my 2011 Toyota Tundra for leveling the truck while towing. It took me about 3 hours to install the helper springs and they work great. I attached a photo of my truck with my VW on a U-Haul to show how the helper springs kept the load level with about 50 psi in each helper spring. I pulled the VW a little over 2000 miles, from WI to WA, and never needed to add air (the photo was half-way through the trip). Unloaded, I keep about 5 to 10 psi in the helper springs and the ride is still very smooth.
The parts I ordered got to me very quickly with every single thing I would need to complete the installation. It took me much longer to do the install but that may be because I’m 80. Once done the air bags worked great & noticeably improved our trucks handling.
Installation was straight forward. Big improvement for towing our camper as the air shocks level the truck (2012 Tundra 5.7) and camper nicely (note that includes using weight distribution system as well).
It was a nice simple install and gives you the ability to adjust the firmness to the rear of your truck when towing. They take some of the cargo weight away from your rear springs.
Easy installation. It took about an hour for the first to double check everything. It only took about ten minutes for the second once I knew what to do. The airlines were just a bit more difficult. All in all, I'd highly recommend these bags and E trailer for a supplier.
This was a very quick and easy process. One of the items I had originally ordered was on back order. The customer service rep reached out to me the next day and let me know, they were able to update my order and not have it be delayed. The item shipped right away, great service all around!
Had to enlarge the hole on the top plate for the air fitting. It didn't match up. Frame mounted fuel pump switch had 2 studs instead of 1 like the installation guide stated, there was hardware for 2 studs but it's a little annoying getting the position of the more forward stud right
Great product. Easy install. Run 26lbs. to level truck when towing 32' 5th wheel. Truck still rides great, but corners better and feels more stable all around.
Very good product. Provides the tung weight lift needed for a heavy trailer (2 axles) Not really a DIY installation which is why the 4 star vs 5 star.
My maiden trip with the ride right airbags was from Arizona to California and back ,pulling a 32 foot camper trailer. The airbags worked fine there and back and I really liked the ride and support that it gave my half ton Toyota tundra while pulling the 9500 pound trailer. However the first time I took my vehicle off road for work pulling a trailer in snow ,ice and mud, the system quit working because it got all mucked up with debris. I have had it back to the shop that installed it for me and they said unfortunately the way they had to install it on the frame of my truck the breather and the manifold are fully exposed to the elements. This caused the unit to throw a code and not air up or air down at all until the entire compressor and manifold were taking apart cleaned and reinstalled and then it started working off and on from that point. My point to this would be if there was some sort of shroud you could put over to protected from the elements that might have prevented this issue.
The air bags work great at leveling my truck.
The product is great. It came on the the day it was promised with the correct parts. Although I consider myself mechanically inclined, it took me about 4.5 hours to install it on my 2016 Tundra. I do check and recheck a lot and I’m 72 years old. I put the truck up on jack stands, removed the tires and left the spare tire in place. That really restricted my movement under the vehicle and I found I had to contort myself a number of times in order to install and visually check the installation. I did remove the spare tire during the air line installation and that made a huge difference. It took me about 3 hours just to do the drivers side alone. The passengers side went pretty quick. Also, getting out from under the truck on numerous occasions to get the right tools took a lot of time. Putting it on a lift and removing the spare tire certainly would’ve made it a lot faster.
I have a TRD Tundra Pro that is set up for 4WD. These bags take away the sag when towing my 10k toy hauler. Definitely recommend
They're very nice, easy to install. I did it on a 2015 toyota tundra in about an hour from start to finish. I removed the rear tires to cut the joist off to make it easier for me. Other than that extra step I made for myself their videos for the install is spot on. I recommend them to anyone who is hauling anything of weight to save wear and tear on the suspension, breaks and tires of their vehicle.
Took about three hours to install. Instructions are well done and easy to understand and follow.
They work great and easy to install. 2015 Toyota Tundra 5.7 pulling an 8600 lb travel trailer.
