SumoSprings helper springs are great for RVs or motor homes that have slide-outs. Slide-out rooms and other heavy front loads can cause front-end sag as your factory suspension compresses under the weight of the load. This means that the front axle is trying to support not only the extra load but also the motor home's weight. And because there is less weight on your rear axle, your rear tires make less contact with the road, which causes problems with traction, steering, and braking. SumoSprings upgrade your vehicle's factory suspension to level your vehicle, improve driving performance, and keep your ride comfortable.
The innovative 2-piece design of these Rebel springs allows for unlimited suspension travel. This means that there will be more movement in your suspension when you're unloaded or off-roading, which makes your ride smoother and more comfortable.
Each spring has 2 pieces. One piece attaches to the frame of your vehicle. And the other piece attaches to the axle. The pieces come together to provide support when you are carrying a heavy front load. When you're unloaded, they separate so that they don't restrict the movement of your suspension. The closed-cell urethane springs also act like a shock absorber to dampen road vibration.
SumoSprings provide progressive load control - the more you load them, the stiffer they become. With a lighter load, the springs will compress easily for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. The springs can also compress by as much as 80 percent to support a heavy front load and to help your factory suspension bear up under the load. This evens out the weight, which levels your vehicle and ensures that your rear tires are making better contact with the road. A level ride means that you have improved driving control, ensures safe headlight aim, and helps to minimize sway. The springs also support your factory suspension, which helps prevent sagging and reduces bottoming out.
The springs work independently from one another to support each side of your vehicle. This action helps to reduce body roll when you make a sharp turn. This also helps compensate for an off-center load.
These microcellular urethane springs are tough. They resist abrasion, oil, salt, and UV rays that can more quickly wear out other springs, and they perform well in temperatures ranging from -25 F to 200 F (-33 C to 93 C).
SumoSprings expand and compress vertically with minimum expansion to the sides, so they won't be damaged by nearby mechanical parts, and they fit safely into tighter spots. And unlike air springs, SumoSprings require no maintenance or adjustment.
This kit comes with custom-fit brackets that are designed to easily bolt onto your vehicle.

Installation was not difficult. The ride quality has improved. Previous jarring rough pavement bounces are substantially reduced.
Not nearly as good as the old 1 piece front SUMO SPRINGS. Two piece does not control front rock &roll, nor lean on curves; lost 50% of the control I had w/ the one piece.
One year ago I installed Sumo Springs front and rear on my class A motorhome. This upgrade is the best suspension add on for improved sway control and overall handling. etrailer helped me make the proper choice based on overall vehicle weight and specific chassis. Fast shipping and fair pricing.
I really like the improved ride that these SumoSprings made in the ride of my motorhome. I changed out the old style Sumos for these two piece Sumos and would definitely do it again. It doesn't necessarily take away the bumps but it makes them smoother or not as hard of a bump. Also James was very helpful and easy to work with while placing my order and kept me informed on the status of my order.

Product came in within 3 days or so. Bought SUMO SPRINGS and a steering stabilizer for my 38’ Gas Motorhome and they work wonders. Highly recommed getting these items. . Feels like a different RV. 3rd time or so that I have bought from these guys, always came thru. Happy customer. And I installed front/back sumo springs and stabilizer by myself in 2hrs.

I installed the sumo springs. I followed the directions that came in the box and the video on the web site were very helpful. It took me about 2 hours to install. I am hoping that these springs will help take some of the rough ride out of our motor home as the website and many other users have claimed. I am looking forward to testing them out.
Sumo springs arrived today. Very good quality product, straight forward installation took about an hour and a half to install on 2018 Bounder 35p.Have pictures of stock bump stop and new springs, no comparison, installed springs and have pictures with jacks up and jacks down. Only reason I didn’t give them a five star rating is I haven’t driven the motor home yet.

I can’t believe how much these have helped the sway and control of the motor home. These are a must for the Ford F53 chassis.

Jenny N - 08/08/2022Excellent product. I have a 2018 Thor motor home on the Ford chassis. After purchasing it and driving it 100 miles home in sustained 40 mile mph winds, I was starting to regret buying it. Even without wind, it was a handful to drive. I purchased the sumo spring for the front and rear. The change it the handling was way better then I expected. Even in high winds. Nothing will stop all the effects of the wind on a motor home, but I can now drive it 70 mph with confidence. The biggest change was with the side to side rocking. Driving on uneven lanes and on two lane roads with out shoulders is no longer a problem. I installed them myself without removing the tires. You have to use a right angle drill. It took me 5 hours to do it, but I’m 60 years old and slow. I plan on doing other improvements like steering stabilizer and track bar. Adding the sumo spring is the best thing anyone can do to improve handling. I actually enjoy driving my motor home now.
Allan - 04/26/2020Installed Sumo Springs on the front and back of our Precept and have to say they helped control front to back and also side to side sway.
Drove our 38' class A gas coach for 6 months prior to installing Sump Springs. World of difference. Pulling from a parking lot to flat road used to involve 3 or 4 rock's left to right. That is gone. The porposing on the freeway is much better also. Overall feels more stable. Still shutters and has a truck like ride on rough roads and bridge abutments.

I added Sumo springs to the front and rear of my 2020 Georgetown GT7 motorhome about a year ago....WOW what a difference and a great spend. I paid a truck mechanic to do the work and it took about 1 hour max to do the front....After watching him do the front i could have easily did the same. great investment!
I installed these on my motorhome to help minimize body sway and they make a big difference. The ride is more stable and predictable.

Totally transformed our 2017 Newmar Canyon Star ride. Best investment ever.
I had the both the front and rear sumo Springs installed on my 2016 Newmar Canyon Star, by the crew at Etrailer.
The improvement in the handling was noticeable the minute I hit the road. The most noticeable effect was the reduction in the top heavy sway when cornering.
It also seems to have reduced the effect of passing semi's .
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has a Ford F53 chassis on their motorhome.
