Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

These Timbren bump stops are the only way to go. Installation took a total of 10 minutes and they work amazing. No messing with airlines, filling or deflating air bags with complicated installation. I’m towing a 44ft trailer and these Timbren bumps stops are a must. Great product but a little pricey for what they are.
Both sides in 20 min with air tools. Have 5th wheel (2500 hitch weight) and made the 17 F250 sag a little. This will help. Now my sticking point is price. Feel like I got ripped off seeing these rubber Kong dog toys that I paid Guess no different than paying $50 for under armor $20 sweat pants. OK, complaining over and would I buy them again? Yes with a coupon.
Got to my house when I was told they would. Put these on a 2017 F350 Dually that I turned into a tow truck. Took about 5 minutes to put them on and the truck is completely different when towing. I towed my 2012 F350 before and after and it’s literally a night and day difference. Before, I felt like I was going to skate across the road and now it’s like there’s a little Toyota Camry on the back. I didn’t put the extra inch spacer because I was worried about ride quality, however I think I will in the future just so I feel better. My truck does still squat, however my application is completely different than pulling a normal trailer being that I do have an entire vehicle added directly to my truck’s suspension.Didn’t get any befores of me lifting the exact same vehicles, but it’s definitely different. I probably will add small helper springs later just being that I do constantly have a load as my lift on my truck weighs 1800lbs. alone.
I have had the Timbren jounce bumpers on my truck for a year and have a truck camper on for most of that time and these things are great. I was worried about sway while also towing a boat and the bumpers exceeded my expectations by a bunch. So easy to install and what a stable ride! My fellow truck campers spent $100’s on air suspension and are blown away when I take them for a ride in my rig. They all feel they over spent! Great products from e trailer every time. I also have the frame mounted tie downs and together my rig feels safe and stable even in tight mountain roads. You can’t go wrong with these products!!!
I wanted to stabilize the minor sway on my 2017 F350 SRW/LB with a 2800 lb camper. I am so glad someone recommended these to me. I was about to spend several hundred dollars on some air-rides (not including installation). These were cheaper in price, require no maintenance or air, and are simple to install yourself. Only took me about 20 minutes per side. They definitely make a difference! I hardly notice the camper is on the truck. And when I'm not hauling my camper, there is no difference in the ride.
This product was incredibly easy to install on my 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty. About 10 minutes per side. Far simpler than air bags, which were my original target. Just towed my 35' fifth wheel on some twisty, hilly coastal highway and couldn't be happier. The suspension squat I had before is gone, the trailer felt much more stable and secure and getting my fifth wheel hitch to fully latch was far less of a problem (first time each time). These were a huge upgrade and are worth every penny. Installation is extremely simple. If you're thinking about it, do it! You won't regret it.
Truck did not squat under heavy gooseneck or fifth wheel. Ride was excellent. I just sold my truck and am ordering a set for my new truck.
Very pleased. Just what I ordered. Fit perfect.
Second vehicle I have ordered the Timbren Suspension System for, great product, smooths out the ride under heavy loads.
Let me explain why I gave 4 stars and not 5. They are easy to install, and are tough enough to do the job, no doubt. My only complaint, and I'm in the process of remedying that, is that when these babies engage, they are there in full force. Let me explain. My upper overloads were a couple of inches from engaging, and these are about the same distance from the axle contact pad. The ride was great, but when I hit a bump like a pothole or RR tracks, the load would engage the overload and these springs at the same time and it made an abrupt jolt in the suspension. So much so that I was alarmed and have concern about long term affects to the framework. So, I have a set of Stableload uppers to install, will trim them a bit so that they progressively engage the upper overload earlier, so that bumps will be softened a bit against these springs. The only other option would be to install the spacers supplied with these springs such that these engaged full time while under load. I just don't know how much "give" these have and how they would ride.
Ordered Timbren SES for 2017 F350 4x4. Hope to reduce sway when loaded with truck camper. Arrived in less than 48 hours. Installed easily. Will road test in a couple weeks.
worked perfect. Very easy install. Made the vehicle nice and stable when loaded.
Extremely fast shipping and always great customer service.
The part fit perfect and was installed with no problem installation took 20 minutes The problem was that the part S had sharp burrs from manufacturing and should have been debuted during installation I got 2 cuts on my hand
This is my 3rd set on 3rd different truck. These help keep truck level under load and help prevent trailer sway. Next truck, another set.
I haven't had a chance to pull a load yet. But it was super easy to install. took me longer to get the tools ready than the work.
The best. Good web page. Fast shipping.
Very easy to install! Wanting to test drive next!
Great product. Easy to install
