The roof rack fit great and looks great, has an aerodynamic design. The roof rack was purchased for a tandem kayak to be mounted on a Honda Accord. Took about an hour and a half to install with directions included. Very high quality roof rack and strength to hold my 12 ft 8 inch 74 lb yak.1106618
I love my Kuat Class 2 kayak carriers. They are easily taken on and off - no tools needed. Once they are on they are easy to use and quite secure. Also, the rubber padding is done well so as not to damage your kayak. I highly recommend these carriers.
I have to add: Greg and everyone at etrailer has been great: They identified the correct equipment for my vehicle. They helped expedite my partial order when one item was on back order. They also made my return very easy when I ordered something I didn’t need. Really great customer service. Email responses are quick and they do what they promise. Great people.863374
I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla. The Rola R5022 fits perfectly and the pair of Kuat Class 2 Kayak Carrier C2R1B securely cradle two 10' kayaks. I placed the order on July 22, 2020, order arrived intact on July 25, 2020 and installed easily. Now the reason I purchased my system from etrailer is because of the exceptional customer service. I called on July 23, 2020 and worked with Tammie P. She answered my questions and when she could not, she placed me on a short hold while the called the vendor to get an answer. Tammie followed up with me today to make sure the system arrived and to see if I might have any questions. Awesome! I recommend etrailer for towing and carrier needs. Ask for Tammie P when you call to place an order. 855230

The carriers have worked out very well, but the tie- down material is not the easiest to work with, and l’m not sure how long it will hold up, it’s already fraying in spots. But overall I’m pleased with the product.1140264

I was wondering if this would on my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2017. It was very easy to install on the factory roof racks. I bought a new 14’ Yak 2 person and it road great to the lake. This is very well made and the straps and bindings were heavy duty905440

See what our Experts say about this Kuat Watersport Carriers
The Kuat Class 2 # C2R1B carriers are 5-1/2" wide and 13-1/2" tall. They're roughly 5-lbs per carrier and combined weigh in at roughly 10-lbs total. view full answer...
Yes the Kuat Class 2 Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # C2R1B is a fit for the factory crossbars of your 2003 Subaru Forester and would do a great job carrying your two kayaks.
I attached a review video for this carrier for you to check out as well. view full answer...
The (discontinued) Thule Hull-A-Port Pro TH935PRO will fit your Thule TracRac SR 43002 but you need the Watersports Adapter # THXADAPT11 to do so since the TracRac SR crossbars are much thicker than your average roof rack crossbar.
If you don't already have that Hull-A-Port Pro carrier then we need to find something else since it was discontinued a while back. I recommend going with the Kuat Class 2 Kayak Carrier # C2R1B instead because it has a weight capacity of 80 lbs plus it comes... view full answer...
The Kuat Class 2 kayak carrier # C2R1B that you referenced is not lockable but for a similar carrier that is we have the Thule Hull-a-Port part # TH849000 which you can lock with the One-Key system part # TH450200. view full answer...
For a canoe, the Thule Portage Canoe Carrier w/ Tie Downs # TH819 will fit round, square, aero, elliptical, and most factory crossbars. If the crossbars have top channels, might want to consider the Thule Xadapt12 Watersports Adapter for AeroBlade, AeroBlade Edge or WingBar Evo Crossbars # THXADAPT12. The carrier can clamp around the bars with the load straps with padded buckles secure your canoe to your crossbars, but the Xadapt12 will allow you to utilize a top channel system.

We have a great roof rack option for your 2014 Subaru BRZ but it does require some drilling of the roof ditch to install rivets with the Rhino Rack part numbers # RRVA118B-2, # RRRDM01, # RRRLKVA, and # DK290. You will need a drill and a drill stop is recommended so you don't drill too far. The channel cover is held back in with the roof rack feet installed. There are plastic caps that can be used to hold the channel in when not in use that are included.
With that installed you could use... view full answer...
We have roof rack solutions for your 2019 Toytoa Corolla Hatchback like the Thule rack # TH712400, # TH710501, and # TH145209 which can be used with kayak carriers like the part # C2R1B that you referenced but the Rola you mentioned does not fit your vehicle. view full answer...
Sorry to hear about your DownLoader # MPG114MD. From my research on your Hobie Passport, it is a 34-inch wide hull at its widest point. For a J-style carrier for that width, the best option is the Kuat Class 2 Kayak Carrier # C2R1B. I confirmed with my tech at Yakima that this carrier can accommodate a 34-inch wide hull.
If you are concerned about the height of your kayak (from the bottom of the boat to the top surface of the boat), the cradles on the BowDown are 5-1/2 inches wide. As... view full answer...
The Malone SaddleUp Pro Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG110MD will not fit larger crossbars but we do have a solution with our Kuat kayak carriers. You can use the Class 2 # C2R1B which is a fixed arm carrier or the Class 4 # KU53VR which is a folding carrier.
The Class 2 is a simple application while the Class 4 looks a bit more sleek and has the ability to fold so you don't have the arms sticking up when you aren't carrying your kayak. The mounting hardware that comes with these are... view full answer...
Since you're wanting to install a J-Style carrier on the Thule Xsporter Pro # TH500XTB full-sized crossbars we need to check out the Kuat kayak carriers as they will be wide enough to fit the larger crossbars on your 2022 Ram 1500.
For a standard J-Style carrier we have the Class 2 # C2R1B but if you want to upgrade to something a little nicer and that folds down we have the Class 4 which comes in Black # KU53VR or Gray # KU33VR.
I prefer the Class 4 because they look nicer and have an... view full answer...
For your 2020 Kia Telluride I recommend going with the Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425 with RidgeLine Towers # Y00145 and RidgeClip Fit Kit # Y94FR. This rack will attach directly to your Telluride's side rails.
When it comes to a kayak carrier I really like the Kuat Class 2 # C2R1B which has a weight capacity of 80 lbs and can handle a max hull width of 36". It comes with tie-downs to secure your kayaks but you also might be interested in the Rhino-Rack Anchor Straps # RRRBAS-2 so... view full answer...
The etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier # e98878 fit 3-1/8" wide x 1-1/2" tall crossbars while the crossbars for the Thule Xsporter Pro # TH500XTB are slightly larger at 3-1/2" wide x 1-1/2" tall so we need to look at a different kayak carrier for this application.
For an alternative J-Style rack you can use one from Malone along with the T-Slot Fit Kit # MPG8287. The J-Pro2 # MPG117MD has fixed arms while the DownLoader # MPG114MD has the folding arms like our etrailer kayak carrier kit. Both... view full answer...
