This is a simple product bundle for basic transport, I wouldn't go on a freeway with something like this. Maybe the bundle is a bit pricey for what it actually is (some foam and tie-downs). It doesnt really seem to fit my minivan which has a fiberglass top, or fit my small row boat either, so I have not found a use for it.

One nice thing is that all the items are kept well and tightly in the product case. It is thin plastic but has held up to lugging around and stayed closed (plastic has some tabs that close it back up). So the various parts of this bundle won't get lost as long as they are put back in the same case they came in. The included instructions are somewhat good (as opposed to not having any instructions at all).

Exactly what I wanted.
etrailer never
lets me down!

by:

Excellent Kayak supports for my Malibu 2XL.

by:

Trailer has been great towing our kayaks but have a issue backing it up. Probably because
the tongue of trailer is so long, but I can un-hitch and move with ease.

by:

Everything looks great. Arrived quickly. Works as they should.

by:

Product looks great, exactly as advertised. My only concern is that the installation instructions cautioned against mounting the kayak pads over a sunroof, which I will probably ignore since my kayak is only 46 lbs. nonetheless, I wish the ad had mentioned this about using without a roof rack.

by:

Only a few minutes after I placed the order for my Deluxe Kayak Carrier, I received notification that the 'wheels are in motion.' I see the names and photos of the people who are preparing my order. Instantly, this personal touch tells me that my item is being handled carefully and efficiently. I've never seen anything like this. Why aren't more companies doing this? A few days later my product arrives safely at my home. You would think that I'd have paddling on my mind after it arrived. Instead, I kept thinking about customer service. I only hope my kayaking trips run just as smoothly.

by:

The product arrived quickly and meets my high expectations. The 4/5 stars is because of one issue. I wondered why the instructions say the green straps go through the vehicle and not just around the side bars. My first time using it, I ran the straps through the vehicle, and later it rained buckets. When I got into the vehicle, I found the rain had channeled along the green straps and dripped enough water to soak sections of the four seats. Perhaps running the green straps through the side bars provides less security or makes more noise, but I'm going through them next time.

by:

Very quick, simple and efficient solution at great price.

by:

Works adequately for carrying a kayak occasionally.

by:

Easy to install and looks very nice on Mazda CX-5
Have used it twice to carrie 13.5 feet kayak and it did the job with no issues

by:

Worked well...easy to use..recommend

by:

Product was as expected but the service from Ashley E was outstanding.

by:

Great price, good quality, why shop anywhere else

by:

Arrived earlier than expected!

  • Roof Kayak Carrier Recommendation for a 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L with Moon Roof
Foam block carriers such as Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier - Foam Block Style Item # MPG152 are designed as a temporary, short-distance solution to carry a kayak. On a van that has sliding side doors they wouldn't work because on a naked roof it would require running straps through the interior of the vehicle. You would instead need a roof rack for your van. I can make some recommendations if you can tell me the year, make, and model of the van.

  • Using Kayak Carrier Along With Thule Canyopn Rooftop cargo Basket TH859XT
Thule does not offer any kayak carrier accessory that can be fitted to their Canyon rooftop cargo basket # TH859XT. I called my most well-seasoned Thule contact and she confirmed no such product is on the drawing board for the future. In truth, even if such an item was available, it might not be your best option. Since kayak weights vary from the low 30s for smaller sit-on types up to the 140s for well-equipped fishing kayaks the vehicle roof capacity can come into play. The Canyon basket...

  • How to Use Rhino-Rack T-Load System to Transport Kayak on 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500
The Rhino-Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Assist and Support Bar # RTL002 that you referenced is designed to be used with an existing roof rack crossbar system or bare roof carrier, which aren't included with the kit. If you want to go with a more permanent setup to use with the T-Load the best route is with a crossbar system. If your Silverado has the Crew Cab I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Crossbar System that consists of # RRVA150S-2 for the two 59" Vortex Crossbars in Silver or...

  • Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier Recommendation for Rockwood Hard Side Pop Up
I pulled up pictures of your Rockwood Hard Side Pop-up camper and when the camper is in the down position you could have a roof rack like the Swagman Roamer LT Roof Rack for Pop-Up Campers and Camper Shells # S80510 installed on it as it more or less has a standard pop up roof when down. Only real difference is that when it is up it has an A shape. To carry the kayaks on this roof rack I recommend the Malone Deluxe Foam Block Kayak Carriers, part # MPG152. These foam blocks fit over...

  • Recommendations for Transporting 2 Kayaks with Yakima LongArm Bed Extender on 2015 Ford F-150
While we do have an option for you, we do not carry any saddle-style, flat style, or j-style carriers that are confirmed to fit the Yakima LongArm Bed Extender. This is because the 2" diameter of the LongArm is too thick for those carriers. However, with that being said, if you are looking for more support than simply using the LongArm Pad # Y07417, I recommend using the Malone # MPG152. This kit comes with 2 18" foam blocks that have a contoured angle for your kayaks. The kit also comes...

  • Weight of Rola Roof Rack that Fits 2010 Ford Edge
The Rola roof rack part number 59770 that you referenced weighs right at 9 lbs. This is a confirmed fit for your 2010 Ford Edge with a naked roof as well. I'd go with a the 75 lb kayak though as you also need to factor in the weight of the carrier you would decide to mount on the rack as well. For a carrier the Thule Hull a Port part # TH834 is a really great option too. It only weighs 9 lbs as well so it would fit in with the weight capacity you have and is easier to install and load...

There is a solution for you, but the issue with the BoatLoader EVO the crossbar spread as well as its 80 lb weight capacity, which is less than your 87 lb fishing kayak. Instead, for your 2011 Chevy Equinox with raised side rails I recommend the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack, which will give your Equinox a very functional, durable rack that will allow you to use a load assist. This roof rack uses aero bars and consists of: - Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA126B-2 - Rhino-Rack SX Series...

  • Do I Need to Mount the Boats on the Crossbars of my Malone MegaSport Trailer
I suppose you could use the Malone MegaSport Kayak Trailer - 86" Crossbars - 1000 lbs # MPG535 in this manner, but I don't necessarily recommend it since it's just going to scratch up the boats and might potentially obscure the lights and license plate. Typically we recommend using a kayak carrier on the crossbars to carry your boats since this is the safest and provides the easiest loading and unloading option for your kayaks; a good low cost option to protect the hulls of the boats...

For an easy and economical solution to transport an inflatable kayak on your 2010 Honda CR-V's naked roof, I recommend the Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs - Foam Block Style - 18" Long # MPG152. • Recommendation For Occasionally Carrying Kayaks On a 2017 Ford F-150 Short Bed With Tonneau Cover
The Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A4000964 is going to be one of the easiest ladder rack systems to completely remove from your 2017 Ford F-150 with the 5-1/2' bed and a tonneau cover. It attaches though the stake pockets unlike the Truxedo TS Rails # TH65FR which mount behind the tonneau cover rails. Roof rack options for your Civic come from Yakima and SeaSucker and are displayed on the page I linked for you. Yakima offers both standard round bar racks and also their quieter Jetstream rack systems. The round bar rack is the lowest-cost setup and is made of parts # Y00408, # Y28TR, # Y03536, # Y06162 and # Y06159. But for only a few more dollars you can get the black Jetstream rack, which...

But if you want to transport your kayak laying flat you will only be limited by the space available on your crossbars. I would transport your 2nd kayak on its hull because it makes loading the kayak on the roof easier, especially without a 2nd person. You should not transport it directly on top of your crossbars. At the very least, I recommend the Malone Deluxe Kayak Carrier # MPG152 which comes with tie-downs. This is the bare minimum to avoid direct contact and to soften the ride a little. Since this rack is designed to fit on many different vehicles, its fit on any given one will not be as secure as a custom rack that is designed for your specific vehicle. In order to make sure that the Rhino-Rack T-Load will clear your camper shell and reach your crossbars, I recommend measuring the pinhole of your hitch receiver to the top of your shell. I'd also suggest a foam block type carrier, like # MPG152 from Malone. The blocks would slip over the ladder rack crossbars and provide a stable, scratch proof surface to carry your kayaks. You'll also need some tie downs like part # RRRBAS-RTD55P-RTD45P. Each tie-down kit includes 2 straps and two bow/stern tie downs. To gain a little wiggle room on the crossbars,...
