etrailer carries a great selection of “all things trailers”. Having built several trailers previously I wish I had known about this company earlier. The explanation for each item was thorough and helpful. The order and delivery were were expedited quickly. Communication was fantastic. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company to anyone looking for trailer parts and for construction of same.

Thank you etrailer!

I continue to be very pleased with the product and etrailer. If I could help assist anyone with deciding if they should purchase from this great company I would tell them “you can’t go wrong with them”! Thank you for being a highly dedicated company with great staff…often rare today.

The box arrived severely damaged. You could tell it had been damaged from the company and all taped up before shipping. Went through the parts list and was missing a part also

Just bought a new travel trailer and the dealer hooked this up to my truck/trailer. 60 mile ride home and it went very smooth. I haven't taken the truck/trailer off road yet but when I do I'll have extra peace of mind know the trailer weight is properly distributed and I have the anti-sway control. The dealer wanted to sell me one of their units that was exactly the same design but over twice as much money. Reese makes good quality towing products and I'm sure I'll be happy with this equipment.

More pleased than ever to have this weight distribution hitch. Lat month we took our trailer to Bryce Canyon and the wind on the way down was blowing very hard. Semi-tractor trailers were swerving into adjacent lanes when a hard gust would hit. It was unnerving. Have the hitch didnt make the wind go away but it made it much easier to handle the wind gusts. Ive also been more conscious of other trucks pulling trailers and their trailers are swaying. Glad I made the investment of a good quality Reese hitch.

I would have given an Excellent rating, but etrailer had to ship three units before I finally received one. I don't totally blame etrailer, most of the blame has to go to UPS. Part of the blame on etrailer's par,t I believe has to do with their packageing of the product. When I finally received my package, the box was totally "mangled" and I was surprised that all of the parts were there. The UPS driver was really complaining about the packaging, stating "They should know better than to try to ship a 100+ pound package in a cardboard box". I agree with the driver and I think that is where the problem was with the first two packages. The box fell apart and all of the parts never made it to the next destination. As far as the product, I give it 5 stars. Getting it delivered was the problem.

by:

Very good product! Pretty easy to setup once I found the [online] video from the Reese Co. Made a world of difference when towing my travel trailer. My truck and trailer were rolling down the highway straight as an arrow. My only criticism, like many others, is that the packaging left a lot to be desired. All the parts were rattling around inside the box. They were beat up pretty bad, but it was all cosmetic. It still functioned perfectly. You could throw a little rustoleum spray paint on it if you want, and that should suffice. If they don’t want to ship it in a crate, at least bubble wrapping it may help.

by:

Received my sway bars today installed in no time at all. I'm very pleased with my purchase

by:

Josh was very helpful when I discovered that UPS had done something that made my hitch undeliverable. He expedited the process to get a new one shipped out once UPS had done their investigation. It's a very solid construction, and I am looking forward to our inaugural trip with the new camper this weekend.

by:

Package came VERY damaged in shipping lots of nicks and dings, paint wear on product. Package said it was delivered but did not receive until next day.

Goodness me, it did have a time of it during the shipment. I will have our Customer Service team reach out to you. You can spray paint it with a rust resistant paint like Rustoleum.

by:

I replaced an older Reese hitch with this new one. Due to shipping damage to the box, some parts were missing when I received it. I contacted customer service about my issue. They immediately resolved it and got the missing parts shipped to me. I was completely satisfied with everyone at etrailer and will order again soon.

by:

Pretty easy to assemble, getting the angle right took some time. Truck is now sitting level.

by:

This hitch was a game changer compared to the chain style I had before. Our 17 yukin was all over the place with the chains and this hitch stabilized it drastically. I would buy again.

by:

It’s what we needed. However the box was tore up and then pieces and tore up box was thrown in a bigger box. It was hard to find all the pieces they were everywhere and the instructions are torn so bad they are useless.

by:

Way more than I need, but expecting to use it on a larger truck with this trailer. It does great to keep the taller camp we have stable and the available heights made it easy to balance and level the trailer. Easy to use once it's installed.

by:

Product is a great fit and would recommend to others towing a higher weight limit. Shipping took far too long, UPS's fault, waited almost 3 weeks to get this piece. etrailer helped the best they could and expedited the 2nd shipment... Instructions were incorrect on tools needed, 15/16" in place of the stand 3/4". other than that they were easy to follow and explanatory. Just took setup time.

by:

We were surprised at how well it worked in keeping the trailer from swaying. Very easy to install

It is well worth it price. It makes pulling the camper so much easier

by:

I got this hitch for my 32ft travel trailer. It's works great! Seriously reduced the sway from high winds and practically eliminated sway from semi trucks passing by. Install was easy to moderate for someone who is average mechanically inclined.

by:

I use this hitch on a 10k lbs GVW trailer. It works great. The only negative is the bolts are too long and limit the adjustment (which is an easy fix).

by:

I'AM AMAZED BY YOUR SERVICE, WHICH WAS EXCELLENT. DELIVERY WAS ALSO GREAT AND INSTALLATION WAS VERY EASY. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING

by:

Horrible experience. Bought hitch it arrives box destroyed and half parts missing. Returned it they shipped a replacement. Same thing box tore up. What do you expect when you ship a 100 pound hitch in a cardboard box? Very poor packaging

by:

Installed and fit well. Rugged hitch , lots of adjustment. Shipped fast. Box was a little light for the weight and had been ripped but taped by carrier. No damage and all parts were there

by:

never got the hit hitch. Three times delivery was stopped by UPS becsuse of damaged packages.

by:

Arrived on time box looked like it came through the war in Ukraine. It was missing a piece guess it fell out of one of the holes in the box.contacted Donna at customer service and she was great she took care of the problem and was very nice

The Reese # RE44FR would indeed offer weight distribution and sway control. The kit includes a 2-5/16 inch trailer ball and the adjustable weight distribution shank. In order to find a weight distribution hitch for your 2020 Forest River Wildwood you will need to know your tongue weight. Tongue weight is the most important factor when it comes to determining the correct system. Tongue weight is typically 10-15% of your trailer weight. Ideally you want your actual tongue weight to be somewhere in the middle of the range of the weight distribution system. The Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control - Round Bar - 11,500 lbs GTW, 1,150 lbs TW # RE44FR is the perfect weight distribution hitch for you! Since the tongue weight is in the middle of the 600 lbs - 1,150 lbs required weight range, you will have a smooth ride with this system without being too tight or too loose.

  • Can 725 lbs Tongue Weight Be Used with Reese Weight Distribution # RE44FR
The Reese weight distribution system # RE44FR that you referenced has a tongue weight range of 600-1,150 lbs which means your tongue weight of 725 lbs would work perfectly. This would work great for your current trailer and if you plan to upgrade in the future it gives you room to grow as well.

  • Can You Reverse With the Reese Weight Distribution System Installed
The Reese Weight Distribution Systems like part # RE44FR will allow you to reverse without having to disengage the spring bars. That said, you need to make sure you are doing so at a relatively straight angle meaning you can't put the trailer at say a 90 degree angle in order to get into a tight space. If this is needed you would have to pop the springs bars off which won't take too long. Please note, there are some weight distribution systems that allow for a greater angle during reverse...

  • Solutions On How To Fix Truck Experiencing Rake Using A Reese WDS
Since you mentioned that you're only experiencing a little bit of sag on your truck with your Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution w Sway Control # RE44FR, I recommend adding another washer. Reason being, installing each washer will lower bracket end of spring bar approximately 1-1/2", which I feel would be more effective than raising the WD ball. If adding the extra washers do not help, before adjusting the ball mount height, I would also try to reduce the load on the spring bars...

  • Would Switching Weight Distribution of Trailer Improve Persistent Sway
If you are still getting significant sway with your setup the solution wouldn't actually be a different weight distribution system. What you are in need of most likely is actually most likely getting more weight forward in the trailer so that you can increase your tongue weight. Most of the time it's not enough tongue weight that causes sway but it can also be a trailer that's sitting to high in the nose or that there is damaged suspension components.

  • How to Know if Weight Distribution System Could Increase Towing Capacity
If a weight distribution system can increase the towing capacities of a vehicle/hitch it will be listed on the hitch or in the vehicles owners manual. For a larger vehicle like your 2021 Sprinter 2500 I would anticipate that using a WD system would increase it's capacity but I pulled up the owners manual and it doesn't list capacities there and instead states to check the trailer hitch for those capacities.

  • Is Reese Pro Round Bar Weight Distribution Spring Bar Interchangeable with Other Brands
Spring bars of weight distribution systems are not interchangeable based on diameter. They have grooves in the ends of them that allows them to fit into the head of the system and for every brand and line there are differences. So unless you had a Reese or Pro Series system 49913 already what you have now would not fit in the head of the # RE44FR.
